MID-OCTOBER SUNDAY

GOOD MORNING ALL!

No rain here yet today----just lots of strong winds and cold (43) temperature, making the chill factor not fun!

I may build another wood fire in my stove later on, but for now, the fire I had last night has kept me nice and toasty. Molly and I should be able to go for a walk around the trails today, as long as the rain (or wet snow) holds off.

I still have a lot to figure out as to just what to bring with me in the truck for my upcoming FL trip. I can always use some of the stuff I have here in this house that has become superfluous down there in my other house, such as some pots and pans. I do not, however, wish to get that other house overstuffed!

Coffee is hot, and I have some peanut butter toasted flatbread for fuel to fire your body. Stop by and tell us a bit about your day!

Good Morning from chilly Michigan... rain in the night and my best guess is more today...
We had a great time last night with guys all over the floor watching football and baseball and pizza with breadsticks and water to drink...
This will be a lazy day as my daughter in law and Joy are headed for a mystery train dinner ride and then to Spring Arbor University for a tour and some classes...
I will visit with my son and the guys that are left after last night!
I trust you all will have a great day...
Kathleen

Another beautiful fall day. We don't get the fall colors here because most of our trees are evergreens.

Yesterday I got talked into going to the parade. I made a mistake and rode with my friends instead of meeting them there. I ended up at the street fair and that wasn't in my plans. By the time we got downtown I had a headache so didn't feel like getting a funnel cake. I had a funnel cake mix I bought from Bed, Bath and Beyond one time and never used so I made funnel cakes for breakfast. Tasted just like the fair ones. I'm dangerous now. lol

Last night I could hear a car engine racing so I looked out. It looked like someone had tried to turn around in our driveway and backed into the ditch across the road. By the time I got to the door they had gotten out of the ditch and were creeping down the road. It looked like the same car made about 3 passes up and down the road and stopped in front of our house and then moved on. We don't have outside lights so couldn't see what kind of car. There sure seems like a lot of traffic at night and this is a dead end road. A neighbor past us was arrested a couple of years ago for a sex offense and if he was in jail it wasn't for very long. I think he is attracting the wrong kind of people again.

Good morning ladies!

I only have a few minutes to type this as the morning is almost over.

It's cool and windy in MD. We've been sitting out on our front porch enjoying the fresh air, but it's just too windy for me. So inside we came.

The owner of the Curves I go to bought a travel trailer this past Monday. She called me last night because it didn't have any electric once she plugged into her house. I just found out the GFI receptacle on her house had tripped and that was her problem. So all is well with the world!

We were hoping to get some steamed crabs today, but the weather the past couple days has been too windy for the watermen to go out. So we're not sure if we'll have anymore crabs this year or not.

Have a good day everyone!

Good morning ladies! I'm sitting here munching on oatmeal with strawberries. I'm SUCH a good girl ... The weather is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous and warm. It's 70 degrees on its way to 75. Very unseasonable temps.

Roomie just found out that she won't be needed on her job this coming week (she tends a baby and toddler and dad's folks are coming into town), so I invited her to go with me on a short vacation to St. George. Leave tomorrow and return Friday.

I'll use the opportunity to pull the ATV trailer out & fill it with a bunch of stuff to go south for my winter sojourn. Should be fun, and roomie hasn't had a real vacation since she moved to Utah four years ago.

There is some drama going on here. Roomie is all wound up about that little chihuahua mix she got last spring. He is un-housebreakable -- and worse -- indifferent and stand-offish. After all this time he won't even remain in the room with me. She is on the edge of just taking him back to the humane society -- can't imagine feeding & scrubbing carpets several times a day for the lifetime of a dog that gives nothing back. We'll see what happens.

Kiwi and I at least have become attached. Finally. (I can't believe how long I held a grudge 'cuz she was mean to my Bandit-boy.) But even if I were just still gritting my teeth, she is 15 and my commitment would only be for a short while longer. Little Rudy is four years old.

Anyway, time to start figuring out what I want to take south. One bike will go this time. Probably the mountain bike.

Janice, has she had the dog checked by a vet? My dog was like that, the day i called the vet he had wet in the house about four times and I knew that wasn.t normal. Turns out he really did have medical condition and doesnt do it anymore.

No she hasn't. But she'll take him outside, he won't do anything, then come back in the house and poop and pee on the (read: my) carpet.

After two days of straining to keep my rig on the road with strong wind gusts up to 45 mph, I took a day off from driving today. Finished a book I was reading, took a long walk with Maggie, made an apple crisp, took an afternoon nap.

Trip to Rock n Roll Hall of Fame was great. But after seeing exhibits of all those who paved the way, I was moved to tears in the theater watching Simon and Garfunkel at their reunion concert.

Working my way south thru Ohio to KY.

Martha, you better keep your doors and windows locked if you have a sex offender in your neighborhood. Be careful!!!

Thanks Barbie but it's not women that he attracts. We are keeping the doors locked anyway. He was arrested for video voyeurism, what ever that is. When he was arrested there were a bunch of boys hanging out at his house. I don't think any were under age or he would still be in jail. It was quiet for a while but the traffic has picked up again. I know a couple of people that work in the sheriff's office. Might mention that to them.
