WINDY FALL SATURDAY

HAPPY SATURDAY TO ALL!

We are at 46 degrees this morning, with a hefty wind whipping what's left of our deciduous leaves off the trees and onto the ground. Things are flying around as if they have life, and the cold robins had better begin thinking of massing together for the long flight to warmer climates for the winter. My Monitor heater is feeling very comfy this morning! If the rains hold off, Molly and I will do a lap of the trails this morning. I also need to make a dump run to clean out the refrigerator and some stuff from the freezer in the cellar.

Wondering if Colliemom got blown away overnight, as she usually has the morning chat started by now!

Grandbaby and mom both made out great at the docs' yesterday----Mom had staples removed, and Orion weighed in with several ounces gained with the advent of Mom's milk flowing like honey from the gods now! I miss them!

Here's hoping we hear a few words from everyone this morning when you stop by for coffee. I picked apples to make some apple crisp yesterday, but that won't be ready until later. Coffee is hot and tastes really good with the smells of fall all about me.

Finally Cool in Florida

It's official. It is a lovely morning here in Central Florida. We have passed the humid months and moved into the "this is why you live in Florida" time of the year.

We're packing the TT this weekend to head up to the Smokies next week. After three weekend trials in the TT, we're ready for a real trip. We have learned how to use everything in the TT, decided we can tow it OK, added a bike rack, replaced the missing microwave and figured out how to set a good sized flat screen on the counter for the ultimate viewing experience. All I need are those little white pinecone lights from Costco for the canopy. Yes, ladies we are ready.

Morning!
Foggy Fall morning here. Coffee tastes especially good but need to eat something soon as I'm off to my GDs soccer game starting at 9

Soos, so glad Orion and Mom are doing so well. I know how much you will miss them this winter. Hope they can send you lots of pictures.

Yesterday I got my WA state parks Senior Off Season pass. Camping is free but will get charged about $6 for utilities! It's good from Oct-Mar, and part of April.

Looks like we are getting some new gals in the SE to add to the FL GTGs. What fun!

Safe travels!

Another beautiful day, the painter was supposed to come although the wind could be too strong today & could blow these tiny little seed things that are everywhere on the wet paint. :( I went to yoga only to find our regular instructor was not there again. She misses almost as much as she is there these days I think she has a BF in Ky. So I headed out to the mall to the AT&T store only to be met with another disappointment they didn't have any more of the new 16g iPhones and might not get any for 28 days :( :( :( I wanted one today of course. I just had lunch and think I will just have a little nap!
Hope everyone is enjoying their day.

Beautiful day here in northern Utah ... sunny and warm. But I have my windows closed to keep out the smell of fresh asphalt. No, they're not re-doing the road in front of my house. I had my driveway paved last week. The "old" driveway was severely broken up (think "garden" growing through) and this looks so much better!

Every time I looked at the old driveway I felt overwhelmed and ashamed for the neighbors to see how "far" I had fallen. (!!!) So now everything seems far more manageable. And if/when I sell, the house has far more curb appeal.

Last Sunday was the seventh anniversary of my husband's death, and the day after I "freed" his whitewater boats for more adventures on the river. The owner of a local rafting store picked them up and will sell them on consignment. I feel so much lighter ('tho I did shed some tears). I should get enough from the boats to cover the cost of the driveway!

It really does look beautiful, Janice! A good move, for sure. Perhaps this is the beginning of a new outlook for both you and your neighbors! You have done a lot this week.....congrats!
