GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Partly sunny and 66d.F. again today...a very nice morning. I took a bunch of pictures yesterday while Molly and I were on our walk, and I will download them to Webshots and send a link here so you could view them is you wish. Actually, I have been saying AI was going to re-start my blog, and perhaps now is the best time to try that. I can't remember how on earth to do it, but, hopefully, it will all come back when I log on there.

Mandy and I had a quiet day yesterday, with her spending most of the time on her sofa with her legs propped up on a mound of pillows to keep the swelling down in her feet and ankles. She still feels great! I cooked us supper last night (actually zapped a Stouffer's veggie lasagna in my microwave) and took it up to her. Joe will work again today back in my hometown, and, if the huge trusses get put up for the roof of the building he is working on, he will be able to take a couple of weeks off to spend time here. As soon as the baby is born, I will head back there (after getting in a lot of hugs and looks and oooohs and aaaaaahs) to pick up the last of my stuff. The rest of the family, Mandy's father and all of Joe's relatives, are waiting for the news that the baby is on the way! I may stick around after that if Joe goes back to work, to lend a hand to Mandy until she feels as if she can move over to that house while Joe works. We shall see.

Coffee is hot, and I have some pumpkin/nut bread to go with it, so stop by and tell us what's up.

Off I go to see what today brings, and get my pictures so they can be viewed. I still get booted of my log-in here on this forum, so I am trying to at least get Morning Coffee in----other than that, I get too frustrated trying to log on again to write anything else.

Terrific Tuesday morning to you all. It’s sunny and will be warm, and a-hiking I will go.

But first, by popular request:

Ok, well I don’t usually reveal my exact location until I leave a place, you twisted my arm.

I am at Meriwether Lewis Historical Site (where he died and is buried) on the Natchez Trace south of Nashville, TN. Mile marker 385.9

There are no hookups, but the water spigots are threaded, so imagine you could fill your tanks. There is a nice modern restroom too. No showers, but flush toilets, hand soap, and dryers.
Image

There are two loops, mostly empty sites, but there are some big 5th wheels, and TTs here. A lot of pull-throughs that could accommodate 40’ or more of rig + tow.

All three cgs on the Natchez Trace are run by the National Park Service and are free. This one is the largest with 32 sites. The others have 18 and 22 sites respectively.

I highly recommend the Trace and its cgs.

That said, I am planning to check out a COE cg and a Nat. Forest cg, both on lakes just off the Trace in MS (Can be accessed from the Trace) on my way to the gtg if time permits. Then I will do a report in the CG recommendation thread on all 3.

Have a splendiferous day, and sending comfort to those who are hurting physically or emotionally.

Liz, I like knowing where you are - and that is one park I have been in tho didn't stay there as I have a membership park nearby. Happy hiking!

Word here is that we are washing the truck and camper today :) Replaced 3 - 1141 bulbs in the camper yesterday with LED lights - will decide if I want more later.

Good morning, all! Summery weather continues today throughout Utah. I'm wanting to head to St. George, but it's 97 degrees there today (in the mid to high 80s in SLC this week). :o Maybe next month. But it's getting time to winterize and button up the rig for the winter.

Life is good here, 'tho the house is overtaking me. Glad the "non-growing" season is approaching. I'm less embarrassed by a lawn under snow.

Plan to get back on the bicycle today. I've had a sore shoulder and have been letting it rest for the last few days. I finally got a bicycle seat that doesn't make me want to cry ... now I want my shoulder to shut up and leave me alone.
