Morning all,
A kind of breezy morning here at the 45th. Temps around 54 and cloudy. Just got done eating a Special K bar and will be having a bowl of mixed fruit shortly. Sorry no coffee here as I'm not a coffee drinker and the coffee i did have in case company came by, was past it expiration date, so it's now been filed in the little bin under the sink
Once I get through working next week, then i can do a better job of getting breakfast in order around here.
Not much going on around here right now. Had a bunch of appt.s earlier this week on my days off and nothing on my schedle in the foreseeable future. Next week is my last week working at the park for this camping season other than working on our Halloween Festival the second week of October. So it's time to head out for a vacation. Was thinking of taking my TT and heading for the U.P. for a few days as weather now looks like it's going to be nice rather than the cool wet weather originally predicted. Will start getting ready on my next two days off. Going to install a shrink film storm window on my TT's screen door, so I can leave my other door open on the cool days and still have light and no cool air coming inside. Will also help on the cooler nights too as there is a small amount of cold air that does coming through those doors even when they are shut.
Just let the "girls" in from outside. Had to do what a dog has to do before I leave for work. They are going to like having me home on a daily basis pretty soon and I know they will love going on a little vacation too. I have a chance to adopt Maize, the collie I was doggie sitting last summer, but am going to pass it up as it's just too expensive for me to keep three dogs right now. Plus my future plans are kind of uncertain right now, so better to just hang with these two. I know Maize would love it here. She's a fantastic, smart, energetic dog and I think she is much more suited to a family with children, who would run and romp iwth her. She is however debarked and that has turned off some prospective buyers in the past. If the lady who owns here can't find a suitable family to take her in, then I will step in and she can come live here.
Time to quit rambling and saying nothing here. Heading for that bowl of fruit and then get dressed and off to work. Hope all of you have a good day out there.

GOOD MORNING SUE AND ALL!
66 degrees and feels like a wonderful summer day here! However, the sky that dawned sunny is getting overcast----I may put out my awning so I have some shelter when the rains come.
The breast-feeding instructional thing last night was really very informative, and the nurse who gave the presentation was super fun to listen to! If nothing else, she made all the mothers-to-be and husbands and grannies and friends feel empowered to be able to feed one's kids with no outside help. She also mentioned that here in NY State, if you go back to work, you are guaranteed breaks to pump milk and store it, just as all other workers are guaranteed breaks for smokes, bathroom, whatever. AND, she said make sure they provide you with a lockable office or room for about 15 minutes and whatever you do, do NOT let them send you to the bathroom to prepare your baby's food! I totally enjoyed the evening, and was wishing I had been given the opportunity to listen to her before my kids were born and needed sustenance. I take back what I said about leaving it all to inborn knowledge----there really is a technique to being a successful breast-feeder. I suppose it was learned from your mothers and grandmas and peers in the cave days, but now the whole process is so under wraps that young mothers aren't exposed (!!) to the teachings of the nursing mothers.
Today is unscheduled for Mandy, so she will probably do some school work while I head out to look for a rocking chair that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. The doc said her measurements are at 39 weeks, and 40 weeks is supposed to be labor time, so we shall see!
I also would like to pick up some shelac to put on the pine trim Joe put up in the nursery---no fumes, and all natural ingredients. I hope all who are on the road are having happy times and smooth weather. Stop by and say HI to the rest of us. I love hearing from this RV family.
If this doesn't post, I will only be able to read posts on here from now on, and never write any more. I have tried everything I know how to do to be able to stay logged on in here, and, when I hit REPLY or SUBMIT, or anything else, I get sent back to the log-in screen. I then have to type in my ID and log-in word about 20 times before I get on. Then it's not long enough to answer anything. I have even re-registered in another name this morning, and, when I hear back from Beth and get that new name accepted, (nasoosie2) I will try logging on with that. Other than that, I must bid adieu to you all. The frustration of not being able to stay on here and respond is driving me insane.
EDIT: I haven't had to re-log on for over a half an hour! I just don't get it. I logged on again with my usual ID name and password, and, for some unknown reason, things have been just fine for a while now. I hope I don't have to eat my words when I repost this edited message!

Good morning everyone, from beautiful fall-like Alabama! Soos, that happened to me a lot awhile and back and apparently the problem fixed itself! Don't stop posting, your life is so interesting! We are all anxiously waiting with you for that new grandson!!! Not much going on with me except my grandson's wedding is Sat! Been thinking about another cruise, as there is a lot I didn't get to do! All of our forum sisters can rest assured that if Sarah needs anything or just some company while waiting around the hospital or anything else, I told her i could go up to Huntsville if needed. Got to go take pepper to his "spa day", everyone be safe and HAVE FUN!! Wendy

Good morning everyone!
Sue, it doesn't seem like the summer should be over yet. I hope you are able to get some camping trips in.
Soos, I'm so glad the meeting you & Mandy went to was so informative. Please don't leave here! Hopefully whatever the glitch is will be fixed soon.
Kathleen, enjoy your trip. Hopefully you can stay in touch with us while you're gone.
Carol, it sounds like you've had a good trip. Will you have your motorhome checked after you get home?
It's overcast in MD and we have a chance of rain everyday straight through the weekend and we don't need anymore rain.
My father is back in the hospital again. He had his walking cast taken off late last week and had a badly infected sore on his ankle. He was operated on yesterday afternoon to remove the steel plate that was originally put on because the infection was between this plate and his ankle. He will have to go back into the nursing home once he is released because he won't be able to put any weight on his foot for another 4 - 6 weeks.
We had the hardwood floors put down in our house a couple days ago that came up from the flood. It's nice not stumbling over all the humps. We are slowly getting things put back together again.
Have a good day everyone!

I just made some more changes in my computer internet options, as I haven't been able to get on either forum (ORS or WOMEN RV) all afternoon. Let's see how long these latest changes last, if they do at all. It's not that I want to leave here, but if I can't log on to type messages, (I can read them all as a guest, I guess) what good is that??
As of right now, I can't log on to ORS. So the new adjustments/settings are useless. Why can I get on sometimes, and then not at all other times? Is it those flashing ads at the top of the page? Is there any way to turn those off on my computer?

Maybe it has to do with the settings you are changing. Are you using firefox or internet explorer? Also if you have a system restore go back to a time before these problems started and do a system restore. Good luck I know you must feel frustrated, another thing until it is solved type your longer messages in word or a place where you can copy and then paste into the forum without having to write your messages again.

It is now mid afternoon here in NY. Have been very busy visiting with friends and relatives after leaving LIW GTG. First stop was Ewing NJ right near Trenton. Visited with old friends whom I have not seen in a couple of years. Went out for dinner and then headed up the road to Princeton NJ. Camped for two nights in my friends driveway. Ate lots of good food and had nice visits with both of their children and families. Then it was up the road to Hopatcong NJ where I camped two nights in front of my aunt's home. One of her children is there who I have not seen in at least 10 years! Had a great visit with them and then it was back on the road to Hurley NY to see my sister. Hope to see other relatives in this area while here and attend the Garlic Festival in Saugerties!! Never would have made garlic ice cream but hear I can get some at the festival.
Will head up to Stockbridge and Becket MA for a seminar and then continue to ME.

Soos, the ads are simply images - have nothing to do with it. I'll go see about approving your new name, though - but that can't solve anything, as it has nothing to do with your name, but I still believe it has to do with your internet connection at your daughters. I think if you go use another connection somewhere, you'll find it doesn't happen. But I'm guessing. I know it can happen here with the connection I have on any password protected site. Yep, can be a pain - and when it happens I switch over to my verizon card. It's one reason I didn't get rid of that expense this summer.
On edit, I don't show any new member with the name you said here - so couldn't approve it.

I'm on again, and didn't even need to log on...it remembered me!
I guess I will just have to deal with these problems until I get back to my internet in FL, if they keep recurring. When I first got here to Mandy's internet, I had no problems getting onto these forums, so I suspect it's not her WiFi. I realize that those ads have nothing to do with my ability to log on and stay logged on, but I am grasping at anything I can to find a reason. I suspect it was an update that changed something, and yet, I have already restored to a time when I had none of these problems, and it didn't help at all. I am used to things making some sort of sense as I attempt to fix them, but this has me stumped! Oh well....I will write whenever my patience will allow me to keep loggin on!

Came to Sturgeon Bay in Door County, Wisconsin today. Went to see some of the quilt squares painted on the barns. Trees are starting to turn.
LeRoy's granddaughter plays a volleyball game here tomorrow afternoon and his grandson plays football near here on Saturday morning. We'll have time for some more sightseeing and a fish boil before returning 'home' on Sunday.
Irmi, I think you have had more than your share this summer!!
Joan, glad to see your post - waiting for you to show up on ORS.

Anita, I've never heard of a fish boil. I'm wondering if it's anything like our shrimp, crab or crawfish boils, but it doesn't seem like that would work out very well.

I was wondering the same thing Vicki. Bet it's not Courtbouillon.
