Partly Sunny Sunday morning

Good Morning Women RVers,

Just jotting off a few lines before I head to local small town store and get the Sunday paper and some charcoal lighter, then off to work I go.

Few clouds in the sky this mornng, but it's going to be another glorious day here. We have been having a stretch of beautiful weather since after Labor Day but colder air is coming in by Tuesday. Typical for September. Hope the nice weather sticks around for awhile though. Would be a great end to the camping season.

Gonna be a busy day here today, work tll noon today and then I am taking the rest of the day off. Have company coming this afternoon, best friends from downstate MI are up in the area at a wedding and are stopping by on their way home to visit with me for a while. Actually they are 60 miles west of me and this is going to be a little out of the way, but when you are friends, what's miles.

Then after they leave later this afternoon, the "furry crew" and I are heading north to camp fo a couple of nights. Not sure yet just what park I am heading for. Either Burt Lake State Park or "Aloha State Park. They are 20 miles apart with Burt being the closest. I've been to Burt before but have never camped there. Weather forecast is great for tonightand tomrrow but calls for scattered thunderstorms on Tuesday morning, so we may be haulling home in the rain. Maybe they will scatter elsewhere for awhile.

A busy day at the park yesterday. Not in terms of campers as it's pretty quiet in the campgruond right now, but we had a large family reunion taking place which required some extra tables and also a wedding at the other end of the park which required some final cleaning of our north boardwalk ramp to the beach area and also some watching of the set up till the wedding party arrived in the afternoon. Couldn't have had a more perfect day for a wedding. Blue sky, barely any wind and the setting was georgeous. Down at the bottom of our north boardwalk ramp, on the deck with Otsego Lake spread out behind them.
We did get to see the bride when she arrived for picture taking before the wedding, but then we left as we had other things to do. It was a western themed wedding with a fall theme mixed in. They had small wagon wheels on teh bottom of an arch decorated with flowers, and hay bales sitting near as well as some hay bales up at the top of the ramp with scarecrows sitting on them. Very cute and fall looking. My co worker captured some pics with her phone camera. I should have here send them to me.

All kinds of news on the forum front these day. Soos has WiFi at her trailer at Mandy's so we can be kept informed of the baby's arrival, Echo is undergoing some serious health problems, Barbie has moved and loves her new place, but has some issues at work, Ava has migraine headache troubles as well as Sharon being sick. And all kinds of things happening in between. Well, everybody please get better, Barbie hope that job straightens out, and the rest of you, just keep chugging along, enjoy the day, laugh, cray or whatever or like Soos says "learn to dance in the rain". Have a good day all.

GOOD MORNING SUE AND ALL!

Today has dawned bright and sunny here in the boonies of Pierrepont---a cloudless sky with an outside temperature of about 53 degrees. It should be a good day to shop with Mandy for some groceries and perhaps pick up a few more little new-born outfits so he can look special on his way home from the hospital. (I love shopping for baby clothes!) I brought a huge tub container of new-born baby clothing and blankets which I washed and folded which used to be his mom's and his uncle Weldon's things. The latest sonogram photos that they brought home are not the best----his face was squished up against the uterine wall and he looks rather like a prize fighter!

It is so nice that I have my house right here, with all the comforts of home from satellite TV to internet service to electricity to a neat place to go for walks out back on the hill of beautiful hardwoods and dirt trails. Joe has a portable compressor which I will use to finish blowing out my water lines. I need to pick up a new air storage tank at WalMart, and perhaps a new compressor/power unit as well. The air tank I have leaks (it's an old one someone left abandoned at the house---now I see why they left it!) so is not dependable for keeping tires inflated. Also, the pressure receptors I have for my trailer tires seem to allow air to escape from the tires, as well, so I took them off yesterday after I found a place to get aired up to the proper pressure. Perhaps I just don't know how to screw them on properly yet, but I may just forget I bought the whole contraption.

I hope Liz has found a good way out of her campground so she can head for Beth's GTG today----I can't wait to see the pics from there!

Coffee is hot and hazlenut, and I have peanut butter toast for breakfast for anyone who wants it. Happy Sunday to all from me and Molly, and happy trails to all.

I'm still lurking about.. trying to get my shuttle bike kit together. But first I must do things like yard work and mowing. Fun never ends. Went for a really nice bike ride yesterday. It was a lot more fun than yard work.

I feel so blessed to be able to do these things while battling Rheumatoid Arthritis. I am not always so lucky. Sometimes walking is too hard.. getting dressed is too hard, etc.

Hope all those that are not feeling well, get better soon and may the recent weather events and related problems be resolved.

Alice

Morning all! Hope the rains are receeding.

I'm still up on jackstands - it got late, Tom decided he'd have to come back today to finish the job.

I'm running out of groceries, I hope the job's finished today so I can go shopping.

I cannot believe that there is so much pain left from 9-11... my tears flow with many of you as well... we had a remembrance in our service also... may we never forget...
