Can't start my Day

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Can't start my Day

Don't we all really miss Barbzeee? I'm not sure how to start my day without her cheery column. Sure hope her health improves and she takes care of herself.

I haven't been doing much of anything to write about - just enjoying not working for a while. The nights have finally cooled off enough just to open the windows. I'm happy about that since I'm now paying for my electric. Finished reading Merle's Door. Can't wait to start discussing it. Haven't been taking the dogs for very long walks cause my knee is acting up on me - swelling and hurts when I walk. Gets better if I stay off it for a while so am reading and just taking it easy. Having major problems with grass burrs around my site so bought some weed killer and sprayed. Its supposed to be gravel alone but they've let the grass/weeds take over. Lets see, I moved out of my house to avoid yard work so I'm spraying and hand weeding here. What's wrong with this picture.

My daughter's finance got back from Iraq last week. He's so glad to be home. He was in the reserves and got called up but only had to spend 8 months over there. They've been riding their bikes all over the hill country.

I've run out of things to rattle on about so hope all of you have a great day.

Yes, I miss the inimitable Barbz as well. I hope she's looking in and
seeing how much we miss her and wish her well. Take care of
yourself!

I know we all miss Zeee.

I do have an idea, though - we could still have a morning greeting - whoever gets up first - go ahead and start the daily gm thread. No, it won't have Zeee's wonderful quips and synopsis of the past day, but part of what we are missing, is just the gathering that we are so used to. What say you? Echo and Lori, you are 2 of the early birds - you game?

Beth, that's a good idea. Yes, I think we all miss Barbz and her morning message to us all. Maybe when she gets to florida and can prop her feet up a bit more, she'll start popping in and at least saying hello.

That sounds like a great idea to me. I just got back from my son's in Colorado and trying to catch up here. Didn't seem like too much happening without Barb's column. I think her being ill, has deflated us all. LIving alone, its nice to wake up and have someone to say good-morning to, and tell what you expect in your day, or just read the doings of someone else. I was so excited about this forum, even though, LIz, did have to talk me into it. i hated to leave it. Now I see our members list has really grown, but haven't seen a lot of them in Intro.

I've tried to figure out how many are going to the Texas GTG. The more I read, the more confused I get. Do you have any idea Karen? I am so excited, I had such a good time with Liz, in La, when we went. Hopefully there are going to be more at this one. There are so many on this forum, I would love to meet, so thats my goal, meet all the ladies I can. If I had been home, could have gone to the Tenn. GTG too, it wasn't that far from me. Oh well, maybe next time.

So I'll look tomorrow and see if anyone has started us off, if Echo reads this, seems she is up really early, I usually don't turn my computer on until after mine and Maggies morning walk. I don't allow myself to, as poor Maggie, usually ends up setting here with her legs crossed, as I forget time.

I hope everyone has had a good day, I have!
