Good Morning Everyone,

Are we all bright eyed and bushy tailed this mornng? I slept in this morning curtesy of changing shifts with a co-worker today. Will go in to work at 11 instead. Felt good to sleep in. And I have the next two days off, so can sleep in for two more mornings. I know, brag, brag, brag No breakfast available here this morning as I went out for breakfast instead. Just enjoying my Sunday morning.

But tomorrow and the next day I have things to do, so will be up and busy all day. House needs a good cleaning, a bit of business to take care of, a bit of shopping to do and one appt. on both days. Want to clean the TT and get ready for the next trip next Sunday again. A bit of final work to do on the blind installation in there too. Supposed to cool off a bit this week, more into the 70's which is fine by me. Want to do a little grass cutting or maybe I should straw cutting, as that's abouut all I have out here right now. And the neighbor needs cutting as well. So I shall get all this stuff out of my way this week and then time for play. Summer is winding down slow but sure and fall will be upon us before we know it Then will have to think about the old winterizing job. But let's not go there yet.

We have an end of the year park party scheduled for the 20th. Will be the last time everybody will be together. College students will all be heading back to school or moving to school by the 24th, so we will then be down to skelton staff. Only 5 of us left full time on weekdays and weekends and one part time for the last couple of weekends. Then will be down to just myself and my three co workers after that. We have a lot of projects to do this fall, so will be busy.

So, I am off to do some research before heading off to work. Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday.

I am enjoying my relaxed Sunday morining with a cup of coffee and catching up on post.

I will be having brunch with my sister and a friend this morning. Yesterday was work day at home...completed my To Do list. Now, I am working on another one. I guess it never ends.

Well it's past morning here but since I was awake until after 2:00 last night, just couldn't sleep so I watched I Love Lucy reruns. I was ready for a nap this morning as soon as I fed the dogs. It's strange how comedy has changed I think most shows that are supposed to be funny on TV now are just plain stupid or vulgar. Lucy's facial expressions were so amazing and even thought the show is predictable it always makes me laugh.

I agree...and for me, one of the funniest shows ever on television was The Dick Van Dyke Show.
I wish it'd start in reruns again...

What bothers me most about sit coms is the canned laughter. If it's funny you don't need to be "told" to laugh. I agree, the majority of sit coms today are just not funny. Just my 2 cents. Linda

Good Morning everyone, altho it is a wee bit past noon here now. I have FINISHED my contract in Eureka and came home yesterday. Need to get ready for the BANDON GTG. All was not a simple day!!
This being unemployed isn't what its cracked up to be.........YET.

I had a few "issues with the new tow bar". It would have been so much simpler if I could have had my MH here in Oregon when I had my baseplate and hitch installed.. But alas that was not to be. With the cost of gas that was truly prohibitive. There are NO RV places at the coast....and would probably cost an arm and a leg anyway. So here is a summary of how the first part of my day went.

I have a 2010 Equinox AWD that I just had a baseplate and wiring installed for the Sterling All Terrain hitch (used). I have the US Gear braking system on my MH so they installed that also on the car. OK so problem #1 MH at the coast, work done here in Southern Oregon. So when I got back to the coast I put the hitch on my receiver and hooked it up to the car so I could test the lights and see if I could work the hitch before I had to leave. (had a Roadmaster type on my old Saturn....easy) Voila everything worked with a little Silicone spray, elbow grease, and a BFH.

I didn't worry about the angle at the time as my MH was up on its jacks. So when I went to hook it up my receiver hitch is wayyyy too high and I have a totally NO-NO angle. Well a fellow RV neighbor had an extension receiver that has a 6 inch drop. GREAT. He puts that on for me and I am perfectly level...well it sticks out way far....so now my safety cables are way too short. The breakaway cable for my braking system...way too short. Umbilical light cord stretched just fine. I had my old safety coil cables so he threaded them back thru each other and hooked on the new ones so that seemed to work. I also had an extra breakaway string for the brakes so we doubled that up and joined them somehow. And off I went. Feeling like I am jury rigged together. Made it home just fine.

What a great RV neighbor to just let me drive off with his receiver hitch......he and his wife are going to be there a couple more months on a job so I will need to go back over and return it, but talk about "faith in fellow man, er or woman") Gotta love RV peeps.

My MH has been out of license since the middle of May but I couldn't get new tags until I take it thru the smog station here in Southern Oregon. Ticket is $96 for lapsed tags so I lived on the edge!!! Almost every Calif Highway Patrol car I saw was busy at Klamath river looking at the whale, along with 500 other people. What a hazard they were, all over a silly whale LOL She swam in there with a calf but the calf was smart and went back out to sea and the whale is just hanging around in the river right by the bridge...spouting frequently for all the picture takers.

The dog had trauma too as she surely doesn't think the MH should move. She loves to go in the car but her house moving was a huge tragedy in her mind. After I saw the dog seat up front with me was NOT going to work I put her in her crate in the back and she did much better.

Catching up on laundry and emptying the MH so I can refill it for camping up in Bandon. There is "living in it" stuff and there is "camping" stuff... I'm so ready to go camping I am looking forward to meeting everyone and just plain ole relaxing. I cannot believe how much "stuff" I have in the MH still.....and its hot here today so think I am done with that for today. Will get the laundry going as I am washing all the towels and sheets. OH yeah I am ready to get out of town and I just got here HA HA HA Have to go get the tags tomorrow for sure!!!!! I cant live on the edge too much longer hah

Lov the reverse ticket counter Glad you made it home without being pulled over.....and when you think of those that fly by the seat of their pants all the time, it makes you wonder about their "stress" meters. Have fun getting everything sorted out for the gtg and get on the road.

That's what we always called a hammer at work, so you're prolly right!

Sorry it didn't go as smoothly as you hoped, but now you're ready to go-the kinks are worked out, the MH is almost clutter free and good times are just around the corner. You just might want to keep that BFH handy carold

OH yes, its a hammer hee hee I have it packed in the tow bag, never to be left out of my sight!!!

I was going to remove the counter but your right.....I love it too.

Laura is coming down on Saturday and we will get the MH organized, then I think we are taking off either later that day or Sunday morning. Making our way to the GTG. Hope we can get in our site before 4pm...we shall see.
