SUNNYDAY

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!
Another perfect Adirondack, sunny, clear morning here today! Very cool last night----a sleeping bag night, with Molly pressed up against me at that. My pool is filling a bit faster now that the largest circumference of its bottom has been filled, and the tapering sides shrink that circumference with each inch closer to the top.
My campsite right here on my own property is the best of all worlds! I have my trailer home, my beautiful view, my pond for canoeing, blueberries for the picking, (those are FREE food!) all my "stuff" inside the house, my leanto, my trails for walking, freedom for Molly, and on and on. Now that I don't have to face another year of working everyday in the long, dark, cold winters, hauling firewood and shoveling snow and chipping ice and all that, this has been become my summer retreat!
A friend, Richard the Roofer, called last night, and he plans to come here Tuesday and stay on and off until the Ruckus in the Mountains. It will be fun to have him here to play some tunes at night around a smokeless fire. He is very susceptible to smoke, so I will use those fake logs for the campfires-----they burn for hours and hours and are nearly smokeless.
I just had my coffee and a bowl of the bluebery cobbler I baked last night in this trailer oven----the first time I ever used it or lit it. As you can tell, cooking is not my favorite activity! It came out really good, but next time I will change my made-up recipe a bit to make it even better. I should be able to get another gallon of blueberies in no time at all this morning, and try another cobbler. This one will go like wildfire when the kids get a taste of it.
Happy Sunday to all!
