And I thank God for the freedom to be where I am right now. I expect Nan and I will spend the day right here in the Champlain Islands, watching the sailboats go by, listening to the waves crash on the rocky shore and the myriads of songbirds overhead.

Hope you all have a great day where ever you are!

Good morning Liz & everyone!

Liz, that is a beautiful picture! I hope you & Nan enjoy your stay there.

I have been at the Tuckahoe State Park for the long weekend and will be going home later today. Other than a few thunderstorms, the weather has been delightful, with lots of sunshine and temperatures in the low 90's.

I talked to my sister yesterday and she is settled in the nursing home. At least she is back on the eastern shore so we don't have to travel to Baltimore to visit with her. My father is beginning PT for his broken ankle and once he is home, will continue PT for his wrist.

Enjoy your day and be safe.

Happy Independence day to everyone! Thanks for the lovely picture Liz... Glad you have gooder (my own made up word) news Irmi...
I will make baked beans and go to my daughter Margie's picnic this evening then to watch fire works... It all depends on how I feel if I stay for that or not...
May each of you enjoy your day and remember freedom is not free many have given their lives so we can experience this day...
Kathleen

Happy Birthday U S of A!!!!
Happy Birthday to my brother!

Happy holiday celebration to all of you. Going to be a hot one here in Schertz, and will probably look like yesterday. On my thermometer it said 109 about 6 pm. A balmy 90 right now. Okay so some would say a humid 90 feels like too hot. That's okay, we have a start on July.

Those of you out there celebrating in the cool, enjoy it, those of you suffering in the heat with some of the rest of us, bear it. All have a great day and make plans for fun for the rest of the week, month, year, and your life.

Happy 4th !
I got up at 5:30AM to get myself ready and on the road up north to watch/cheer on my DD and SIL doing a duathalon. Thats a run/bike/run race. My DD took 2nd in her age group! My SIL has knee problems and mostly participates to support my DD. The weather is perfect. Pretty warm in the sun and just right in the shade. We had a grand time.

Afterward I came home instead of going to the park along the Columbia River where their friends/co-workers have their annual 4th picnic and later fireworks. I could not remember if I had left the patio door cracked open so Choco could go out and I know he didn't go before I left the house. Turned out I did, just didn't remember. Oh well I really wanted to be home anyway.

So now I'm going to take a nap.

Hope everyone is having fun, laughing with friends or family, and gets home safely.
