Good Morning Good Morning Good Morning
coffee is on and cinnamon buns in the oven. Enjoy
Not a whole lot of time this morning as I have to go into work at noon instead of 4:30 and they kept me until 10:30 last night, (was supposed to get off at 8:30) its been really busy lately.
Stop in and tell us how your day went or how you plan for it to go and those of you traveling, have a great time, especially in that gtg.

Cool Saturday

Okay I have coffee but remember I can only drink the low octane stuff...If you can't get your engine fired up on that you're going to have to supply your own! Thinking of those who are going to have fun at the PA GTG. Can't wait for some pictures. Only 54 here this morning and suppose to get up to around 70 which is unseasonably cool...we've had a weird Spring. The Missouri River is at flood stage through the entire state. All four dams in the SD are nearing full release stage and will increase the output this coming week. The crest is suppose to be around the 16th. Property that hasn't flooded since 1952 before the dams were built is already under water....I hate to see how much worse it's going to get. We're very fortunate that we don't have crop land along the river. We do lease about 320 acres of hay land from the Yankton Sioux Tribe, it sits high and is not flooded but there is no way to access it because the all the roads that access it are under water. Hopefully our other grass lands will produce enough hay to get the cattle through the winter months. Recreation along the river is pretty much nill. GF&P are suggesting no boating because of all the debris in the water and many of the boat docks are closed. Our favorite campground is closed but we were able to get a 3 day reservation for the weekend of the 4th at another about 70 miles upstream....won't be the same as our normal 4th 10-11 day marathon but it's going to have to do this year. :(

Well sittin here isn't getting my work done so I'd better go. Have a great day.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Saturday morning has found me back home from the road and sick. Can I say "Oh Crap" on this board?

Feels like bronchitis. Hate those doc in a box things so I will try to make it till Monday and see my doc.

Did get Seeker unloaded and all the laundry done, but with a lot of effort and help from the Goddess. Had hoped to go kayaking on Sunday but no way now. and I'm supposed to leave for England Friday. This is not a good start to my retirement.

I'll pass on the coffee and and rolls - just no appetite.

GOOD AFTERNOON ALL!

Sorry to hear you are starting your retired life sick, Seeker! Here's hoping you get over this soon! Sip on some hot whiskey with lots of sugar!

Went to docs this morning----had blood drawn. Will talk about plan of action for blood pressure (sky high in the office as usual) and cholesterol levels on Wednesday when I go back. No matter how much I take of what meds to remedy these chronic conditions I have had all my life, nothing seems to change whatsoever. Hence, I am proposing I get off all of them except for a new inhaler which I wish to try----can't think of the name of it, but it's red!

Bought me a very expensive battery for the leanto and to use for camping anywhere without the trailer today---276 bucks! It's a sealed, long-lasting, deep cycle, gell-filled battery made by Optima. It damn well better be worth it! I have a question for you who are electricity-knowledgeable-----how do you know when a battery is charged when you charge it with a generator and cable with no indicator? Do they make a device to touch to the posts to check for 'doneness'??

Raining off and on here today, but not too cold out there. Mandy and I will begin to de stuff stuff tomorrow. I am so not looking forward to that job. Joe is bringing a new/used sofa for the living room tonight. The one in there will become a party barn sofa/bed, and the one out there will become a place to sit outside in all kinds of weather! (It's naugahide!)

I'm doing a laundry, will read the newspaper, and then head to the pond to set up my mini TV down there. I won't stay there until another nice day stops by, however----way too comfy right here in the trailer!

I sure hope I don't get Lyme Disease as so many of you seem to be doing. Our biting bugs up here aren't carrying Lyme or Encephalitis as yet----but the time will come, I am sure.

Hope you all are doing something fun today.

Happy travels!

We went to some yard sales this morning then to Dollar General and to pick up a few groceries. We then came home unloaded and I had an orange and a cheese stick for lunch and then took a nap. I am starting to feel much better from this cold but still tired. My granddaughter is spending the weekend with her other Grandma and probably swimming. Sure hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.
