Rainy Tuesday Morning

Good Morning everyone,
A rainy start to the morning here. Supposed to clear out later on. Good for the grass and also the fire danger which, despite have 7 inches of rain last month and also some this month, is Very High at the moment. Actually had a fire start near where that big one south of me happened last year. Garage caught on fire and spread to the woods. But it didn't get far. Nedless to say, burning ban is in effect.
Thanks for setting out the breakfast bar this morning Beth. It looks so good. Don't know how you manage to do it, having to get ready for work and all
I'm on my second day off today. Always have Monday and Tuesday off each week. Yesterday was busy with cleaning up the house a bit, a quick run to do some grocery shopping, cutting grass, a bit of trimming, cleaning out window well areas around my basement, putting the wood strips in my TT's cupboard areas now that it's warm enough to glue. Will remove clamps today. Need to do a little bit of screwing as added reinforcement, put on the door latches and knobs and will be done. But first need to get new drill as my old one's batteries are worn out and will no longer hold charge. For cost of new ones, may as well buy new drill.
I made my first camping reservations of the season yesterday. A two nighter on Sunday and Monday of Memorial Day weekend. Just to Aloha State Park, 50 miles north. Decided may as well spend the holiday somewhere besides here. My entertainment will be watching all the other campers packing up and heading home. Will probably have the whole campground to myself by Monday night. Who knows, maybe if I get thngs caught up here, my TT cleaned and ready to go and the weather is nice, I might even do one before then.
Echo, glad to hear you are ready to roll back up to the rock. Drive safely. I know what you mean about the paychecks. I get paid this coming Thursday but it will be a small one cause I started toward the end of the pay period, so it will be end of month before I get a full one too.
Irma, such a busy lady, but I know how it goes. When I was growing up, we had my grandfathers yard to take care of, our second home up here and of course our home downstate. But we balanced it all out between work and play. Just need to get a routine. And we gardened too, like you do. In my early years, my dad would use the walk behind plow and start at the neighbors next door, go across our yard and the neighbor on the other side. We all had 100 ft. wide, half acre properties. So itwas one big garden all across. And we exchanged stuff between us all summer. Those were the days.
I'm watching the Mississippi rising as it works it's way south and keeping my fingers crossed for those in it's path. Carolyn, I hope your home doesn't suffer much damage. It must be hard on you to have to watch this. Many of us contemplate selling our homes to downsize or go full time, but none of us would want to lose a home that way. It's been a rough spring in the south this year. At least Sarah can relax a bit now that things seem to be returning to normal in her life pretty much. Liz, you are wonderful.
Time to be off and explore some other posts, get caught up and then ready to head into town. Appts. this morning. Have a wonderful day all.
