Good morning Zeee! And all our sisters! I threw you a curve ball this a.m.... I'm just finishing oatmeal! But of course with brown sugar.

got woke up just after 5 a.m. by fire sirens,... was a local restaurant with an electrical fire according to the county dispatch on the scanner. Crews were returning to stations by 6:30 so it might not have been a big deal. Sounds like they got it under control quickly. Our local volunteer fire departments are great folks,... always deserve a pat on the back and a few dollars donation. Never like to hear the sirens. Even though I'm at least two miles out of town here in the woods, because i'm on a hill the sound carries. I can hear four different towns from here if the air is just "right."

It's morning already? I've been up since about 10min of 6, but I am not ready for it to be morning. Gads. Went to bed at 11:30 last night and had the alarm set for 7:15, but it just didn't happen. My bladder and Shade are just to use to getting up at 5:30. I so wanted to be able to sleep.

Brrrrr 46 on my back porch this morning! After yesterday morning being a little cool and drafty around the under side of my nitie? This morning I put on my Silver Patron Tequila lounging pants when I got up and a t-shirt, threw a cup of coffee in the microwave, grabbed my sweatshirt and out the door I went with Shade. Bit nipply out there this morn. Dark too. LOL Of course this will keep happening and I will need to get out my winter weight super sized nitie I sewed up a couple of years ago while in Maine. I put together a couple of those small fleece throws, sewed them up and made a 'kaftan' out of them. Now you talk about staying warm and toasty! It wasn't until about 15 min ago that I finally heard a morning bird song. Must have still been to dark and chilly for much worm hunting until now for them to get up and going. Kind of a bummer this morning not smelling the coffee as soon as I got up this morning. Love those timers to pieces but they don't work for squat when ya are up before they go off. But at least this pot doesn't take long to brew. I heard the beeeeeep go off before I came back inside so I had nice fresh hot coffee waiting for me. I've been filling the mug and drinking but all I want to do is go back to bed. ~sigh~ I do have to confess tho that I dozed off for more than a few minutes here at the table. Oh well I guess I will be tired enough to go to bed at my usual time so I can get up for work tomorrow.

Will be getting a paper today to check for job listings, checking on line for job listings and maybe go to the ? employment office. They got a fancy name but I forget what the heck it is? Gonna try and make a doc appt so that they can holler at me for my BP. Just maybe I can get started on something to get it back down and under control? Oh joy. Probably tell me I have to give up coffee. Which is not gonna happen. It's my one favorite vice. But if I can get my BP down I will be checking into going to work for the railroad. Got a friend who works for them and can maybe help me get a foot in the door. They will certainly pay better than what I'm doing.

Will be posting a grump a little later. Not really a rant but just a grump. So stay tuned.

Hello from Tampa, FL. I haven't been doing much posting but reading when I can. Came early to give SIL a break with MIL-doctor appts, house stuff, etc. Not sure where I left off posting, but came across Canada from Michigan, down to Burlington, across to Maine and down the east coast (Boston area) Cape Cod, etc to visit with grandkids for 2 weeks in Raleigh, then went to Annapolis to visit friends and go to US Open in NY, then down here. Whew, I'm tired just writing about the journey. Planning to spend some time in the keys then to Sarasota for the "FL winter". Oops, my DH is staring in the window and waving his tennis racquet, so have to get moving. carold

Good morning from cool Indiana - very cool this a.m. but supposed to get to mid to high 70s later. As I look out over the valley I can see the leaves starting to change. Figured out what was wrong with my computer (I'm on the laptop now) the moniter has given up the ghost. Doesn't even flicker anymore - plugged in husbands and it works fine with my computer so that means a trip into Bloomington where there is a Best Buy. Hope they have something on sale. He has to go back to eye doctor there too as his new glasses make everything look like it is a hill. Just can't get used to them.
Surprise - I didn't have to log in today - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
Yes we are still planning? thinking? about spending winter in Mexico. Next week we will pick up Alfie from the RV place again...and spend a few days in Ohio between Dayton and Cincinnati found 9 covered bridges in the area, and a visit to Jungle JIms market and the Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson Base. We'll be staying at a 1000 Trails there that has wi-fi. The RV got the refrigerator fixed and 6 new batteries so we should be fine now -
Just went downstairs to get another cup of coffee and opened the kitchen door to let in fresh air and scared the turkeys - there were 7 of them out there having breakfast.
Guess I'd better get something done.....

Good morning ladies. I'll just plop down here for a visit with y'all before starting my day. It looks like it is shaping up nicely outside...a pretty fall day here at 84 degrees. I plan to work on giving the mh a deep cleaning for the next couple of days, now that the weather is cool enough.

I'm glad you're having a nice color change in the north, that's some of God's prettiest handiwork! I sure don't care for his all-white landscape though, especially as it covers layers of that darned ice...brrr!

You are so right about the kitchen, Barb, and the way it brings lady friends together. I'll bet lots of stories were shared and lots of problems were solved across kitchen tables since time began...not to mention all the gossip that was spread and still is.

Even when I get up early I'm late posing - Yesterday got up in time to walk Peaches and then out the door to meet up with the folks I was going to Mexico with. Today (like Wed.) as soon as Peaches and I were up - we were out the door for her to potty - and onto the beach for a nice long morning walk. I think we did about 3-4 miles both mornings. I need the exercise with how I've been eating!

Today I intend to get a couple plants from the lady next to me (bought a couple pots last week) and purdy up my site a tad. Also, I haven't got my furniture back on the patio right since evacuating. So that's in the plans, too.

Zeee, got my teeth cleaned in MX yesterday. I want to go back down soon and see about getting 3 new crowns. I think that they'll cost me less than the one I got last winter in 'bama. Actually, last 2 winters, I got one crown each winter - taking care of the worst tooth at a time - cuz they are so expensive. I planned that this winter, either in TX or AZ I'd be trying to take care of many teeth while here.

As to glasses, it's time for me to be getting an appt somewhere and probably new ones. I wear noline bificals and it always takes them remaking them cuz they don't get it right the first time. No matter what I say and how I tell them to look at the ones I'm wearing, they always come back where I have to tilt my head strangely either to read or to drive. I tell them in advance, if they aren't just right, they'll be redoing them and they tell me they will be. Never have been yet, but maybe this time can be the charm?

Good Morning ladies, I slept in this morning because I watched the Boob Tube till 1:30 A.M. Sun is trying to peek it's rays through the clouds this morning and warming my face.....aaaah.
Ventured into town yesterday and walked out on the beach with the camera and went window shopping and indulged in some Cinnamon & Sugar mini donuts down on the Promanade. Looks like a good bike ride day or exploreing.

Jenny, your life is so charmed! Take lots of pics for us and don't feel guilty about those donuts..you ARE going for a bike ride, right?
