A Good Morning to you all,

Cloudy morning here with some rain/snow mix to my north and some rain showers to my south. Going to clear out later on and get nice. Spring is indeed here now. Our snow is on it's way out. Patches here and there. More open ground than snow covered. The frost is coming out of the ground and the muddy roads are beginning to dry out. Yesterday as I walked the "girls" down one of the dirt roads across from me, I watched a river of snow melt flowing down the side of the road. The trees are budding and the sky has a lighter shade of blue than the darker blue of the winter sky. The birds are chirping and twittering in the trees and the weather forecast is even calling for 50's, 60's and possibly even 70 in some locations this coming weekend. Although it will cool down a bit next week, but still in the 50's. The girls are wanting more time outside as does this human.

So the TT is going to get uncovered within the next few days. Don't need it on anymore. There is a possibility of strong storms on Sunday going into Monday and I don't want strong winds of that sort ripping that cover to pieces. Plus it's time to start getting it ready to hit the road eventually. My plan is to remove the cover and then move the trailer off the boards it has been sitting on and a bit over toward the side of my garage, so I can plug it in to the electric again. Plus it will be good for the tires to move rather than sit in one spot forever. Am not going to get it dewinterized yet though, till I know the nights are going to stay about 40.

My niegihbor didn't get back from downstate in time to put the ad for her garage sale in the local paper for this weekend, so it's been put off for another week. Too bad, with the nice weather, people might be out moving around. But on the other hand, this is spring break week and a lot of people are gone. If it gets nice, people are going to want to work in their yards too. This time of year it's very quiet in the north country till Mushroom season starts next month and the fishing seasons reopen again, the ice comes off the lakes etc. Not much in the way of traffic anywhere. Very quiet.

So, running vacum around the house this morning, hanging up and moving a few pictures around in the house, probably price the last box of garage sale stuff and see what else I get into. Went and the the annual "drug" test done for work and picked up my keys yesterday. Will start back on the 27th. So have a couple of weeks to monkey around here. Need to get outside windows washed and put screens back in yet too. Time to haul lawn tractor out of the mothballs as well and "summerize" the snowblowers. Busy time here as you can see. And yesterday when I went to town, I saw that the gas prices has jumped 25 cents to $3.89 . Gonna cost a small fortune to even cut grass this summer at that rate. My tractor takes about 3 gallons of gas at a filling and I can cut my entire yard on less that that, but in spring it needs cutting at least twice a week. Oh well. Gotta do what you gotta do.

Good morning!

Sort of getting back into a routine after a long weekend in Kansas City for dd's 20 birthday. We have 10 days left of health club ownership and then.... if all goes well, it will be in the hands of a new owner and we can turn our full attention to getting on the road. Yay!

In the meantime, lots of work on my plate, so I'd better get to it.

As far as gasoline goes, we picked the worst time to get started traveling.... oh well!

Good morning everyone!

It's a sunny, clear day on the eastern shore of MD. Temperatures started off at 36 degrees earlier this morning and it is already up to 48. We will get into the high 50's to low 60's later in the day. Saturday sounds like it is going to be a perfect spring day with temperatures in the mid 70's. If that is the case, we're hoping to get the first grass cutting done & I hope to get out in the gazebo to get the floor vacuumed and furniture washed off. The bird feeders will need to be refilled and the bird bath washed out.

Warming up here today and I'll bet Charley will be glad I cut most of his winter coat off this morning. What a job, especially when only one pair of my clippers are working and most of my blades need sharping. So it's been busy around here and now I have to vacuum to get all the mess completely off the floor.

I went to look at a BT Cruiser last night that is for sale nearby, really nice well kept '04 with only 10,500 miles but just not for me, now I'm realizing what y'all mean when you say when you walk inside 'your' rig you'll know it. I think I like the feel of the smaller vans and this one looked so big, not that I felt I couldn't drive it, just felt too big for me in that it takes up more space plus didn't feel as cozy to me as the Roadtreks or Pleasure Ways. A big thank you to Lenora for sharing information about her Cruiser and sending me a check list! I think I really surprised the people with all my questions, especially when I pointed out to the guy that low hours on the generator wasn't a good thing!

GOOD MORNING ALL!

It will feel good to get that cover off your trailer, Sue, I imagine. It shouldn't be long now 'til camping time for you! Be thankful you missed that nasty storm that swept through the mid-country and the nrtheast yeserday. Orlando made out like a champ----we got some more much-needed rain, but the lightning and heaviest winds stayed north of us, or sort of split and went around us.

I am back in St. Cloud early this morning, as I got a rushed call from Weldon last night asking if they could borrow my truck to pick up a living room furniture set they found on Craigslist, so I finished shopping at Publix, rushed home and put my groceries away, packed my stuff in a whirlwind, with their help, as they arrived just as I got back from the store, and off we went to Kissimmee where they picked up a beautiful, brand new-looking set of furniture-----sofa, love seat, huge easy chair, and ottoman, which they put in their empty front room for TV watching, visiting, game playing, whatever. It is a really beautiful set which they bought for a fraction of its worth, as Melissa got online and checked out the retail value of it. (Did I once teach English??!! What the heck is that sentence!) Believe it or not, we got the entire set in my short-bed truck and her Ford Explorer!

I forgot Molly's antihistamine, but seem to have remembered everyhing else, so I may wait until tomorow to return and water my roses and other plants, do a quick check for mail, mail in my income tax stuff and a couple of bills. Today is bright and sunny and cool, by FL standards, but like summer for me! I will uncover the pool and get that vacuumed and strained and filter-cleaned, and, maybe by this afternoon, go for a dip in it.

Kathleen has a good day to resume her homeward trek, and I hope things will stay good for her now. Happy trails to all!

Hope Everyone is having a Great day !! I've missed the morning, but have to say hi, and hope all are well. Its gorgeous here, I just hope it is for all of you too. Started out really cold this morning, dropped below freezing and we had a frost, so I am glad that I didn't get my r.v. in to have it unwinterized. My r.v. guy had some problems and yesterday was not a good day for me to get my work done, A good thing too !!!

Glad to hear Kathleen stayed safe and parked during that horrendous storm, some had. It was not fun here, but a wee bit south, it was so terrible. Looking out at the beautiful day we are having now, all the terrible weather seems unreal.

Camping time is coming, for those of us who have been looking so forward to it. If all goes well, I will be off for a week next Wed. to one of the COE cg's, within 70 or so miles from me. Maggies ready, we had a short walk this morning but we both are looking forward to real walks.

Good morning.

We had a cool start but it is warming nicely and lots of bright sunshine forecast for next few days.

I haven't felt well lately and when it dawned on me yesterday that I'd been running a low grade fever for several days, decided to go to doctor. I thought I was just having problems due to all the pollen but turns out, I have a nasty case of bronchitis aggravated by the high pollen count. I now have a bag full of pills to try to get rid of it before Kathleen arrives. I really hate taking steriods but doctor convinced me that there are times when no other good alternative is available. I also have to go for chest and shoulder x-rays on Thursday (decided since I was at doctor anyway, better see if there was anything he could suggest short of surgery to relieve shoulder pain).

Nothing much planned for today. Grocery shopping to take advantage of "senior day" (a 5% discount) and maybe a short play date for Nicky as I don't feel like walking him and while we both are in need of exercise - at least maybe he can get a little running done.

I'm way behind on welcoming all the new members so will just do a blanket "Glad you joined us" for now. Have you noticed membership is now above 300? So many more opportunities to read about new adventures.

Sara, I'm sorry you are still feeling under the weather but at least you know what's going on with you. Steroids are very strong and hopefully within a day you'll start feeling better & stronger. Enjoy your visit with Kathleen.
