Good Morning everyone coffee is on and hot... just finished my dishes... the mississippi mud brownies smell good even though they were baked last night...

It will be 40 in Normal and 88 here in Ocala would like a little cooler but that is fine... looks like rain for the week... may ask for a few more days here to be sure I can pack up in dry weather... last year it was a huge downpour and Joslyn and Liz came the night before I left and offered to help me pack up... I was so confused and worried I turned the help down... wish I had not... that is life...

This is my last Sunday here... have many friends and many that wave and say hello... in the RV park we are all in the same boat away from family so we make new friends for a season... love hearing their stories...

Could tell the weather was changing here as I woke up at 4 with a lot of pain... ugh please do not start again you ugly pain I chase it away but it comes back...

Well this is a good day and I trust you will each find a bit of sunshine where ever you are...
Kathleen

Good -morning, Kathleen and Everyone on this bright , but cloudy , overcast day, with more rain and storms on their way !!!!! I woke up this morning, so its a gooooood day :)  We have rain in our forcast for most of this next week. I don't mind the rain, but the thunder, lightening storms, are a little unsettling, especially at night. Maggie, gets so upset that is what worries me the most, with her heart condition.

Kathleen, I am so sorry, you are having more pain, when the rain comes, I understand that thoroughly, I just keep all my joints moving. I don't have the serious problems you do, but I do know what pain is and I am sooooo sorry, you have started another day feeling it. I'm sorry your time in the south is coming to a close, take it slow going home, so maybe the weather will be better time you get there.

Not much happening here worth writing about, just wanted to wish you all a Very Good Sunday, have a Great day everyone. Time to get myself moving and get ready for church.
For those traveling, Stay safe and enjoy for all of us.
CArol :)

GOOD MORNING KATH, ALICE, CAROL, AND ALL!

Sorry about that pain, Kath---sure hope it goes away fast.

Alice, I can't wait to see your van!

Carol, hug litle Maggie closely, and pray that little heart keeps on ticking for a while longer. She has lived a wonderful doggy life with you, and I know what worry you have for her. It's tough to not worry every day when our four-footers have already out-lived their 'normal' lifespans. Molly is only 8 (possibly 9) this year, and I already worry about the day I will no longer have her company. I know, "Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow; it only saps today of its strength." But my mind does its own thing! I think we humans never really learned to live in the present once we were able to contemplate both the past and the future. Which is why I love Kath's signature so much!

I'm back in St. Cloud to get a couple of days of swimming in the new pool before the much-needed rains arrive later this afternon or tonight and early morning. It got into the 90s in the sun yesterday, and I LOVED it! However, summers down here I think would be intolerable without going from your air conditioned car to your air conditioned house, and, as I really do not like AC, I would be like a rat in a trap! I hope you have a wonderful trip back to Normal, Kath, and that you find milder weather than Beth has found in PA, so far. It's good that the campground has provided her with both electricity and gas, however, so she can keep warm either way.

I am really planning on how to resurrect my old camper back home to get it road-ready for summer camping. I will definitely put new tires all around on it, that's 4 of them, grease the axles, and then tow it to the RV dealer that has worked on it in years past to have them do a thorough exam. It doesn't leak at all -----I painted the roof with rubber a few years ago----I love the layout of the floor plan inside, and the last time I tried both the refrigerator and the furnace, they both worked like champs. I have removed most of the split copper water pipes and bought the new plastic piping and fittings to install to see if I can get water for boondocking at bluegrass festivals. I have no clue if the sewer tank (I believe there is only one) will hold water, or not. If water cannot be fixed, I have no care, as I am so used to carrying my water in jugs and using my porta potty. I will request that they install me a fitting to screw onto a TV cable at a campground, and install a crank-up antenna for free over-the-air channels. I am excited about using this nice vintage camper again!

I talked to my friend Richard, the roofer (tiler) last night, and he says the cold and snow over there in VT have been tougher than he can remember----lots of power losses, very cold, tons of snow, etc. He was stoking his woodstove as we talked! He's really looking forward to camping this summer---he is living for that. He wants me to be sure to have my Ruckus, so I really need to begin planning for that. Perhaps when this rain hits I will have time inside back in Orlando to update my website.

I'm off to hose-vacuum the bottom of the pool here as the wind the other day blew quite a bit of sand in there before the kids could get the cover on! Then I will lie back in my new lounger in the water for some easy-livin' time!

P.S. Molly's itchies are all gone as of this morning!

Good morning Kathleen, Alice, Carolinagal & everyone that follows,

Kathleen, I am so sorry you are hurting and hope the aches & pains subside real soon for you.

Alice, it's such a pain when you lose a post. I copy all mine just in case that happens. My frustration level is very low.

Carolinagal, I hope your storms aren't too bad and that your weather clears soon.

I missed posting yesterday but weekends are always so busy trying to catch up on doing things I don't take the time to do after I get home from work.

The weather in MD is cold and we had flurries over night and early this morning. The sun is trying to come out but it's going to be cold today and we'll have below normal temperatures all week. Have I said before I am so ready for spring?

Later this morning, we will be taking a turkey dinner I prepared yesterday to my parents house. When we get back, hubby is going to take the house batteries out of the motorhome so I can take them into town tomorrow to get new ones. Later in the day, I will finish putting the lasagna together. The sauce was made yesterday so the bulk of the dish is done. If we have time, I'd like to take a dish of it to my sister who has severe Lupus & RA. Her hubby & my hubby installed a stair chairlift in their house last week as she has problems walking on a level floor, let alone stairs.

Take care everyone and enjoy the last day of the weekend.

good morning ladies, coffee is so good this morning and really hits the spot :D
seems like its always raining somewhere, I'm wishing for you girls to get some nice
weather so you can enjoy it for a spell.
So sorry your hurting Kath, I went through alot of that when I lived in Colorado but
since I moved to Arizona the pain has subsided and only showed it ugliness briefly
on occasion. I think its the mild temps and dryness but could also be less stress.
Plans for the day????? well, lets see now, still need to do up my uniform shirts and
get them ready for the new week and of course there is always dishes to be done.
Have a few bags packed up of clothes that don't fit or I just don't wear and will
probably get those dumped in the collection box when I go to the grocery store.
Then I'll pull out some more clothes to try on and if they just don't fit the way I
want them to...out they go! I'm tired of hanging on to items I "think" I might wear
someday. Serves me no purpose and just takes up valuable space.
Got my yarn out the other day and started a little project that I work on during my
off time at the school district. HA! I know it sounds funny, but I've missed doing
my crochet and it feels good to get back into it.
I also noticed the walls in the kitchen are starting to look a little grimy so that is on
my list to do as well. I picked up some rubber gloves last weekend as I knew that chore
was on the horizon. I just can't stand looking at grimy walls. When the kids were little,
I was the mom who always carried a wet rag around to wipe down light switches and
door sills, and I'm not even a neat freak! Guess its something I picked up from my
mother as she was always washing walls.
Ok, enough rambling and time to get the laundry together.
Enjoy your day and I'll continue to hope for nice weather for you girls.

We have sun!! It's pretty chilly out there but the sun is sure better than the clouds, rain and snow showers we were having!
Sorry you lost your post Alice, did you get a new van? I noticed Soos mentioned something about it in her post. I think all the lost posts are causing a lot of members to give up, I noticed the activity on the forum is down quite a bit. Wonder what is causing the server being too busy problem?
Carol, have you asked your vet for pills for Maggie, my little Winnie is terrified of storms and I have pills to calm her, only thing is you need to give them about a half hour before the storm hits.
Kathleen hope you feel better and that everyone has a good day ahead.

Just a reminder, as there seems to be a lot of disappearing posts lately - while your cursor is still in the white box in which you're typing your post, hit <CTRL-A>, which will select ALL, and then <CTRL-C> which will copy it ALL into your clipboard.

IF you lose your post, just start again, and, with your cursor inside the white box, hit <CTRL-V>, which will paste everything you previously copied into your clipboard. VOILA - it's all back!

Good afternoon everyone. It was a foggy morning here, but is now sunny and warm. I've been sitting outside watching a red shouldered hawk hunting for prey. Last evening there was a bald eagle harassing an osprey...forcing him to drop his fish, then stealing it. No picture, but fun to watch.

We had a nice church service and fellowship dinner today. Thought I would share this little video of our own talented singer, Kathleen, as she sang a special with a small group during service today. The video is from practice last week...I didn't get a good video of today's performance, but it looked just like it. We'll miss her as she heads back toward home in IL this week.

Sorry about those lost posts, Alice....that is frustrating!

Ava you should post a picture of some of your crochet projects...we have a thread for that and would enjoy seeing them.

Irmi, it seems like you are taking care of everyone around you....wish I was around you. :D

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of your day, whatever state you are in.

That's one of my favortie songs and so fun to sing in a group! Thanks for sharing that.

Tried to walk Choco this AM but didn't get far as it started raining, again. Yesterday cold fronts kept moving thru and each time we got small hail. This is like last Winter all over again. I remember Liz and Joselyn visiting me in May and I still hadn't cleaned the patio nor gotten my patio furniture out to have a place to sit. We also couldn't leave the patio door open so our dogs could run in and out as it was too cold.

I haven't been feeling well these past couple days. Not sure what it is, but if I still had my female plumbing and was younger, I'd say I was having menstrual cramping. Feels just like it. Just real achy across that section. I did take some meds thinking I might be constipated but all seems ok there. I might make a trip to my Dr in the AM.

Safe travels everyone, praying good weather for our nation, too!

Well, we're back on the road again. Pulled up stakes from our winter home in Sarasota and hit the road. Will have to get use to checking batteries, doors, etc. After sitting for 6 months it's almost like starting over. We made it to Marianna, FL and found a small RV park for the evening. Gas is HIGH. We might review our travel plans. For now, we are heading toward Benson, AZ to visit my sister and BIL around the 18th. Not sure where we will be stopping along the way. tGM is taking the helm on this trip, since I did the last one. Working on setting up the satellite, since it's been dormant the last 6 months. Had a great time last night at the tennis tournament party-great food and dancing. Didn't leave until 10:30. OK, off to enjoy a glass of wine, reset my clocks for central time, and relax. carold
