Full-timing Friday

Good morning everybody!

I'm up and excited this beautiful day because this is the day I will sever the tether to my stick home and officially become a full-timer! I have reservations for the next two weeks at Sportsman's Cove in McIntosh. My site is on the shore of Orange Lake, with an eastern facing view of sunrise over the lake. Can't think of a better place to begin my full-timing life.

I met with the neighbors and their Aunt Bea (the house buyer) and now have a written agreement for purchase and down payment, until the rest of the money goes through GA probate. I'm satisfied with that, and can go and enjoy my new life.

I have a few errands to do in Ocala, then will move my RV 30 miles north to McIntosh.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good-morning !! Oh Liz, I know you are so excited, and I am for you. I don't have much luck on the morning thread, but just have to try. You are starting a very busy life now, keeping all of us up on all of your adventures. I pray there are many and that you thoroughly enjoy every minute of them.

God Bless,
CArol :)

Good Morning Liz and all,

Liz, that's great news. I can just feel your excitement. Image Image You have been waiting and waiting and wanting to get on with this new stage in your life. Now you can go. Congrats and enjoy. I will certainly be enjoying your wonderful pictures as you journey through the country, footloose and fancy free.

It's a beautiful sunny morning here at the 45th, although a bit on the cold side. -8 again. This is unseasonable for this time of year, but it's on the way out. And after the big storm on Wednesday, that dumped us with 12 inches of snow, drifted it higher in places and closed schools, bussing systems etc., yesterday was just the opposite. Everybody had been out, plowed, shoveled, blew and what not to clean up, schools were back in session and by afternoon, our roads were all clear and dry. Only reminders of the storm are the high piles of snow everywhere and of course the snow on the ground. My drive is even clear right down to the blacktop. Mother Nature even helped despite being in the 20's, the sun is really warm. And I lucked out in that my nice neighbor across the road had the plow truck and also did my next door neighbors, so I didn't have to blow out her drive :) . Just did the sidewalk alongside the garage to the porch, which was drifted knee deep, and shoveled off the steps (2) and part of the porch past the door. There's enough room along that sidewalk that I can get my big blower in there and it made quick work of that knee high drift. So hopefully this will be the last time I will be talking about these monotonous tales of snow and snow removal in the north country this winter.

It will be much more fun to talk about RVing, which is what we shoud be doing, when it isn't snowing, cold, raining, windy, or trying to sell homes, businesses etc. etc. etc. As for me, it's FUN DAY today. I am heading to Traverse City in a awhile here to go to a small RV show over there. And look and browse and be among like minded people. It's not a big show, maybe 50 rigs from a few dealers around the area, and a few vendors, mostly campgrounds etc. But at least I can enjoy the RV lifestyle for a few hours. And no, I am not taking my checkbook  The big Camping World south of me will not be there as they are having their own on site RV show, but not the greatest week for that. I will not be going down there. Wouldn't surprise me if they extend it though as their lot is buried in snow.

So I am off the get cleaned up, wash hair and get ready to roll. It's about an hours drive over, but I will be taking my time as it's cold and will have to watch for black ice on the roads from the melting snow running across them. Got all day, what the heck. Show doesn't open till 11 anyway. Girls have been out, pottied and now are curled up sleeping. Tessa on the floor and Sassy curled up in the doggie bed by my computer here. All snug and warm.

Have a great day all. Beth, safe travels for your final miles to LIW. You are tangles up with that storm that just hit us.

GOOD MORNING LIZ AND ALL!

What wonderful news, Liz!!! I am so excited for you! Now your nice little home-on-wheels, Silver Lining, is your home, period! And that campground sounds as if it is beautiful-----maybe I can get a chance to get up that way for a visit before you go, with just my truck to try that out for overnighting with the tent attatched. Enjoy your new life and the freedom it will bring you! I am still keeping an eye out for a used truck camper, so if anyone spots one, please let me know.

Molly's itchies are back with a vengeance, so I am going to drive her to the nearest vet, right here at my shopping center, to see if there is something she could take or get sprayed on to alleviate the agony of the itch. The magic blue spray I have seems to help to keep it in check, somewhat, but I am wondering if they have a pill she could take for allergies, as well.

Other than that. I plan to head back to St. Cloud to mind the shop over there while the kids travel to Tampa for the weekend. Melissa's prego sister, with a thousand complaints about how horrible it is to be a pregnant person, is flying in from the west coast to complain to anyone who will listen. I hope my son, not known for patience, is able to keep his mouth shut while they are there! The sister sounds like a totally spoiled child who needs to be ignored! I really feel for her husband!

I bought some new and different type of double-sided tape to try to fasten my blinds for the truck camper top, and I am praying it might work. I tried to install the vinyl boot that goes between the sliding window in each yesterday, and it will take a gully-washer rainstorm to test that out and make sure it doesn't leak! The window film that Lowes had was useless, as it allowed too much seeing through for me to feel comfortable in there at night. I found others online that I am hoping might be better, but have to wait for more money before ordering some of that.

Hope all are having a good day, and that we hear from each and every one of you before the day is out.

Congratulations Liz!! I am so happy you are officially a full timer. I'll be thinking about you today and hoping it is spectacular.
It's cloudy and cold here again today. If it weren't for all the trees and daffodils in bloom I'd think those wonderful warm spring days were a dream. ACK I just heard a strange noise and looked outside, it is sleeting :x Guess it's housework or dog grooming again today for me, Sue wish you were here to help as yours is all done!
Have a great day everyone.
Soos hope you can get something to make Molly more comfortable today.

Good morning everyone!

Liz, congratulations! I am so happy for you that things worked out on the sale of the house so you can begin this new phase of your life.

Sue, I hope this last snow will be the last one for you and that warmer spring temperatures will be in your area soon. Enjoy yourslef at the RV show.

Soos, I hope you find something to help with Molly's itching.

It's another chilly day in MD and the sun is shining. Temperatures will be in the 40's today and tomorrow. There is moisture moving in tomorrow night and along with dropping temperatures, we could have up to an inch of snow Sunday with temperatures only in the 30's. What happened to spring?

I'll be putting a turkey in the brine this afternoon to cook up tomorrow. I'll prepare all the sides to go with it and will put everything into containers to take to my parents house. I also want to put a pan of lasagna together for another meal. I will take some of that to my sister who has Lupus and is struggling to get around.

I hope everyone has a great day and wonderful start to another weekend.

I am working out of the RV this morning. Nice and comfy. (Well, somewhat cold, but got the portable heater cranking.) Realizing how quickly the RV.

Rain and snow expected today, with highs in the 40's more of the same off and on over the next 10 days. sigh. Sun, where are you?!

Have a beautiful, beautiful day, wherever you are!

HELLO SISTAHS!!!

WOW! Now that sure is some good news to open the morning coffee with. I'm so happy for you that it worked you. I can just imagine how ecstatic you are! :D

Sue? I sure am glad that I'm not up north with you! Brrrrrrr.

Weather here has been crappy for the past 3 days. Overcast and gray, chilly, windy and now it's raining. YUCK!! Yesterday morning I woke up to an extra cold trailer. Sometime after 4:30am the 20amp breaker on the power post popped so both heaters were off. Still had ele to the trailer cause that's 30amp. But let me tell you it didn't take any time at all for me to get dressed after crawling out from under them warm blankies!!! Took Shade out to do her morning P and flipped that dang breaker!!! About an hour later it had warmed up in here.

Nothing much really going on around here. Except playing on the laptops and cleaning the restrooms. I HATE the floor in the men's room. It's light blue ceramic tile and shows every freaking particle of dirt and mud. AND of course the guys can never be bothered with wiping or stomping the mud off before they go in. Kelly has done a super bang up job on the men's shower stalls. WOW what a difference in them since the first day we cleaned. Instead of dingy brown/gray of the first day, they are now the cream color they are suppose to be!!! I mean she has really put in some work and lots of elbow grease on those things. She ended up sitting in the bottom of the showers and making a paste of Ajax and water then scrubbing with scotchbrite pads. She's wore a pack of 6 pads out. But by goodness by time we leave they will be as good as new!!!

OK, off to do some more reading and catching up on ya'll. Hope everyone has a wonderful day doing exactly as they want! Be safe too.

Love to all
