What! It is 8:25 a.m. and nobody's up and posted yet this morning Yoo hoo, Good Morning you sleepy heads, it's daylight in the swamps, time to rise and shine. Coffee's on and I have already had breakfast. Better get it while it's hot.
A few snow flurries or actually a snow shower out there this morning. After yesterdays beautiful start to March, winter is back to it's fickle ways again. Ah well, we all knnow it's not going to last much longer.
The local weather folks were talking about snow totals yesterday for the season and showing how much different areas of the state up here had. It was amazing to see how low the totals were for most of us. Averaging anywhere from 40-50 inches below normal. We are sitting at just under 90 inches and our normal is around 150.
So after running around and enjoying the day "up north" I am heading into Gaylord to do some shopping and restock my larder a bit. Need to take care of some business as well. Then maybe later on today, the furkids and I will go over to the park and take a walk. Will depend on how cold that wind is. Sometimes it's better to just stay here and do the roads thing as it can get cold with the wind coming across that lake ice over there.
So it's off to get started with the day here. Have a wonderful one, whatever you are in to.

GOOD MORNING SUE AND ALL!
I've been up, tossing around my trip to Kissimmee to view that neat Road Trek, and, the more I thought about it, the more I realized I simply can't afford to get into debt again right now. My son can't afford to buy my truck by taking over the payments, and I don't have enough equity in it to make selling it worth while. Also, if I were to sell that, I'd have nothing to haul my trailer anywhere any more. I concluded that my best bet is still to try to find a slide-in truck camper, used, preferably, to make the trips back and forth to my summer and winter areas. That way I can keep my truck, which I thoroughly love.
I called the really nice sounding man to let him know I had changed my mind. Now I have been looking again, as usual, for a used truck camper that I could get to to view, and that I can afford. No luck anywhere near me at all. Sigh.
It's cooler today, and slightly windy, which is not good for the firemen fighting those wildfires along Route 95. They seem to be making some progress in getting it under control, but they are still burning like crazy. I hope the coastal winds don't blow the smoke my way.
I finished the living room screen yesterday, and it's nice to have the option of keeping that window open now. Both huge front windows now have screens, and the porch is all re-screened, but for the door out there. Perhaps I will do that today. I have yet to get out my guitar and practice some campfire music! That's always an option, as is practicing my fiddling music. Molly and I will go for a long woods walk today, too.
Happy Wednesday, all!

Good morning all! I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed checking in here each day.
I just finished my 2nd cup of coffee and will get up for a 3rd here in a moment. Practiced some yoga, folded some laundry, answered some emails and now off to do a sinkful of dishes. I'll be dealing with the fallout from our landlord today - one of the emails in my inbox this morning. Wish me luck!
Also on tap today personal training client, core strength & cardio class to teach, administrative biz stuff and I think I'll sneak in a soak in the hot tub with that 3rd cup of coffee.
We've been enjoying spring-like weather these last couple of days. It's looking gorgeous so far this morning. I dare not look at a weather forecast or depression might set in. I'll just enjoy it as it comes.
Enjoy the day!

Beautiful sunny morning here, a bit cool but not bad. The owls woke me this morning hooting in the trees outside my window, hadn't heard them for awhile. Since the awful storm that took down so many trees in the neighborhood I don't hear them as often. They can sure make a lot of noise and sometimes the sounds change a lot not sure if it's mating calls or fighting! I'm hoping the hawks choose another tree to nest in this year. Their nest from last year is right over where we park our vehicles, what a mess that was!!
Sorry the Roadtrek didn't work for you Soos, but understand how you feel.
Good to see you back khenrie, hope things settle down for you soon.
I just noticed the flashing ad's at the top of the page, is that new or am I not very observant

Good morning ladies!
It was very brisk with temperatures in the low 30's early this morning but we're in the low 40's now, with lots of sunshine, but the winds are blowing at about 20 MPH.
I'm hoping the temperatures will warm up some as I made reservations yesterday to go to our "local to us" campground for their opening weekend the first weekend in April. It's a beautiful family oriented campground, very wooded with spacious sites. We know a lot of the seasonals there and always have a great time catching up on how everyone is.
I'm going to pick up our tax returns this afternoon on my way to our local Curves. I meant to that Monday but it was raining. At least they're done and it's one more thing I check off my to-do list.
Take care & have a good day.

Good Morning All from cool foggy Playa Matanchen, Mexico - Almost - almost - too cool to have the door open but we'll tough it out.
I wondered about the ads too - but haven't been on for a couple of days - Been busy running around the country - to Puerto Vallarta on Monday and to Tepic yesterday.
Mechanic is here now working on brakes so if Jennie gets shifted very much I'll lose internet signal and have to relocate it.
Soos you sure are talented - fiddle and guitar. And screening! You can come visit us anytime -
We've gone out to dinner a couple of times to a restaurant in San Blas that has a chef from New Jersey - last night had veal scallopini with home made cheese ravoli - luscious.
Hope the worst of winter is done - seems to have been a bad year all over.

Ads are new this morning - will change occasionally, probably -
I'm all alone here at Blue Cypress Lake now. Birdie pulled out today, as did the 2 others that were here since I got here. I'm sure someone will pull in - but if not, that's ok with me. Two more night here for me. Ah, have a limpkin that just settled in across from me. Will sit here watching him for awhile.

Quick G'morning!
Need to shower and get to my eye Dr appt!
We are setting rain records here in the valley, snow/blizzard effects in the passes. Today is forecast for high winds (up to 70mph on the coast), and a possible T-storm!
I'd love a thunderstorm, but with it will be the winds and with the grounds so saturated that means possible toppled trees. Always something..
Wishing everyone a great day and safe travels!

Kind of late getting on here today...slept in this morning and just getting caught up on posts here. Had some very odd dreams last night!
Cloudy and upper 60's here today. Have the next two days off from work so am thinking about a day trip somewhere one or both days. Not sure if I will head to Palm Springs for some hiking or head to the beach!
I went to a meet-up class last night on hormones and natural ways to balance them. It was very interesting! My menopause symptoms are raising their ugly heads again! Back on the progesterone cream! The place where I go to these classes I take, is called the Cottage, and since I first started going there, there was a black and white kitten that was hanging around there and always wanting to come inside when the classes were going on. I felt bad for her being outside all the time. Well, they finally decided to adopt her and let her inside. She loves the people and all the attention from everyone in the class. However, she decided that she really wanted to lay on my lap and sleep thru most of the class!
Also found a couple other activities I want to do. One is "Wine Tasting for Dummies" at one of the wineries in Temecula. It is very basic, obviously. But I know nothing about wine, so thought it would be a good way to get a little knowledge on it. It is only $10 so my roommate and I may do that next week.
Then I found an ad in the paper for a women's golf group starting up at the end of March. They only play once a month but it sounds like a fun group and will finally get me out playing golf again and meeting new people. So will sign up for that too.
My hours have been cut back some at work since things are a little slower this time of year, so I have to be more careful with money for awhile. It should pick up again in April for spring break time.
I will be going back to MN in April for a few days to visit family, friends and mostly to see my daughter. She will be 10 on March 29th!
Glad spring is around the corner and sounds like everyone is making plans and on the move again for summer!

They are really neat - and pretty much only in FL - I have pics on my blog from my last trip here of them. Will have lots more when I get this trip done. They talk a LOT.
