Friday Stormy Weather

Good Friday Morning... very nice day here in Florida but the nation is full of storms... my daughter said they were expecting 6 in of snow in Normal... well please come in and sit down and have some pumpkin spice coffee... will not take the place of pumpkin pie but it is ok...
I have been up since 6 not sure why this shoulder keeps acting up... today I will try to finish pinning the lace... it is not easy without a table... but it is a project that I can do slowly... some of you ladies with a vast experience may know how to easily do lace panels without the pins on the floor when you fold them... I have found this is not easy in a MH... :D
Does anyone remember the song that is Fridays eye opener?
I trust you will have a great Friday...
Kathleen

GOOD MORNING KATH AND ALL!

Pumpkin spice coffee tastes yummy! Thanks! Sorry your shoulder is giving you some problems, and hope they clear up soon. And I hope you will be peaasantly surprised to see dryness around your water heater. :)

It should get very warm today, so, rather than return to my trailer where there is no swimming until the pond and St. Cloud Beach both gain some water so swimming will be possible, I will simply stay right here and ride my bike to the club pool this afternoon! What a tough February this has been! The pool is the perfect temperature for swimming now, yet only one other brave (and young) girl was swimming. I love my huge private pool with all those people to take care of it for me!

I got a call from my daughter yesterday, letting me know that she and Joe got engaged the last night of the winter carnival. No wedding plans whatsoever as yet, like my son and Melissa, but am really looking forward to some grandkids somewhere down the line. I am hoping both kids have chosen their soulmates for life, and that they will have much happiness. I certainly plan to be present at the reception parties!

Michael Jackson's kids are being interviewed this morning, with their grandma, and it's nice to see them looking and acting like normal kids their age. I am so very glad their grandma has custody of them, as it appears she is right on the ball and loves them a lot.

Sorry about your new camper, Anita, but am glad you are sticking to your guns. Will you be selling your truck camper when you get this new rig? I beg all of you to keep your eyes peeled for a used, but good shape, slide-in truck camper that will fit a short bed truck. I am definitely in the market for one.

Off I go to see what I can do to improve this house today----I didn't get to the screening on the eaves yet, so perhaps that will be my morning chore. I hope to hear from many of you before the day is over.

Good Morning Kathleen and all who follow,

Yes, it does seem like the whole country is having storms of one kind or another. Up here at the 45th, it is quiet, cloudy, about 20 degrees and just enough breeze to barely make my flag stir. The storm that is dumping the snow on your daughters, is going south of here again. From mid Michigan south. There is however another storm coming in late on Sunday and into Monday, but at moment they are not sure just who is going to get what. Depends on it's track. Getting to be that time of year when we can get rain, snow or both. March is transition month. But it looks like another quiet weekend on the snowmobile front, so my friends motel will probably sit empty again. Course there are a few die hards who will ride on an inch of the stuff.

As for me, I am cleaning house this morning  Then later it will be time for the girls and I to take our daily walk before our "furry" guest arrives later today. Maybe I will work on my little sign too and probably spend some time going over the road maps for my trip to Gettysbury in June. I know it seems kind of early, but once spring get here, there are things to do outside and work will be coming up if all goes well. Course if gas prices get up to $4 a gallon, then that trip to Gettysbury will have to be rethought. But in the meantime I am laying out my plans and waiting for the day when I can uncover my TT and open it up again.

Had a nice time with my friend yesterday. She and hubby have taken their 32ft 5er all over the country, so she told me about a lot of things. Gave me an application for Passport America which I will send in. Will give them another$10 off on a camping site. One deed leads to another. Right now they are home for awhile as hubby is working in Michigan's thumb area researching gas and oil leases. Hopefully if all goes well, they may spend this next winter in TX and AZ. Been to FL, time to see someplace else. Depends on how long this job lasts that he has and money as well. They want to sell their house and get a smaller one a bit down toward the middle of the state. So they will always have a home base here in MI. Grandkids miss them too much when they are gone all winter, so they won't full time it.

So I guess I had better get my act in gear around here. Tessa is sleeping in her bed and Sassy is outside laying on the deck, where she loves to be. Will come in eventually and take her morning nap too. Have fun with your lace panels Kath. Where are you putting them by the way?

Have a nice day all.

Good-morning, Ladies, We had a few mins. of a bad rain storm go through early hours this morning, woke me up and after it flew through here, I fell back to sleep, so am late getting my morning going. Oh well, no rush for anything. Maggie, has been outside, we've been pilled :) , breakfast is over, so we're already for the rest of the day, which ever way it decides to go.

Seems you all have plans for your day. Ours is supposed to be a really nice sunshining day here, so when that happens, will decide if I work inside or outside. In the meantime, I'm off to see what everyone is up to on the forum.

So have a Great Day Everyone,

CArol :)

Good morning ladies
Kathleen, there is only one Friday song I know and it goes like this...
Friday, Friday
Friday is my favorite day,
Monday is a bummer,
Tuesdays only fair
Wednesdays getting better
and Thursdays almost there,
but, FRIDAY FRIDAY
FRIDAY IS MY FAVORITE DAY

used to hear that on the radio every Friday morning back in Colorado on my way to work.
Speaking of work, today is another day off from the school district and it certainly feels
good. (I do have to go to work at Blue Sky this evening)
We're back into a cold snap and the weather report says cold and rainy and chance of
snow ?? on Saturday. Not often it snows in Phoenix, had a few flurries twice that I've
been here in the last 10 years. Will get some more stuff done outside today while the
sun shines and hopefully get closer to having the fence done so the girls can get some
running around time out in the yard. It seems like its taking forever to get that
accomplished even though its easy enough, I only have those times during the heat
of the day to do it. The hard part is making the attachment to the brick. Had to use
some stuff called loc-tite, its like liquid nails only made specifically for brick and morter
to attach to wood. Have to wait until the sun shines on the surface and warms it up
to over 40 and then it takes 24 hours to cure. Yesterdays attachment should be cured
this afternoon and I can set the back panel, then I just have the carport panel to set.
Anyway, hoping this stuff does the job, its construction grade and suppose to be the
best.
Don't know if I mentioned it, but son got a promotion at work. Supervisor and trainer and
a wage increase with keys to the building comes with it. Its a big deal but not overly big
as they only have a handful of employees but it will certainly look good on his resume
for any future companies.
Guess I've just been rambling, and its time for another cup of coffee. Enjoy your day
and hopefully you'll be inside out of the weather, and those down in Florida..enjoy the
sunshine :P everybody be safe.

Good morning everyone!

It's a wet, windy day in MD. The harder rains and stronger winds will hit us a little later in the day with wind gusts blowing at 60 MPH. It will be so nice when this weather settles down with sunshine and more spring like temperatures. Although it's supposed to be clear tomorrow, temperatures will only be in the 40's and could reach closer to 50 on Sunday.

I need to call my parents to see if they're ready for me to prepare some more meals for them. Other than running some food to their house, I don't have any plans for the weekend.

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Good Morning all,
There is a song from probably the 40's called Stormy Weather that Frank Sinatra and Lena Horn made popular. My Mom and our neighbor had all the sheet music and both played the piano so I know almost all the lyrics to the popular songs from back then. Here is the words (I cheated and Googled these).

Don't know why
There's no sun up in the sky
Stormy weather
Since my gal and I ain't together
Keeps raining all the time
Life is bare
Gloom and misery everywhere
Stormy weather
Just can't get my poor old self together
I'm weary all the time
Every time
So weary all of the time
When she went away
The blues walked in and then they met me
If she stays away
That old rocking chair's bound to get me
All I do is pray
The lord above will let me
Just walk in that sun again
Can't go on
Everything I had is gone
Stormy Weather
Since my gal and I ain't together
Keeps raining all the time
Keeps raining all of the time

We had rain until late last night, made driving to my class a bit of a challenge as the road were starting to be covered in places. Only about half of the class showed so let out an hour early and the instructor said he will add a class on at the end. He is 89 and in the 4+ years I've been taking hypnosis classes from him he has never missed and always comes in a suit an a tie. He also delivers meals on wheels, hope I am that active at that age!

Morning!
Sorry your shoulder is giving you fits, Kathleen. Take care.
Ava, that great news on your son's promotion!! :D
Soos, congrats to your DD and future SIL!! :D

Well, it's 17* this AM. I-5 just north of here is iced over with ice so thick that the lane lines are obscured. Semis are chaining up!! Weird, wild weather! My 2 GDs school is closed again today as they live right in the middle of all that icy area. They also live up on the top of a very high hill so I bet their street is iced over and I know what it like to try driving down it when it's icy.

Mitch, I never did reply to your question about the memory foam I ordered. I got the 2" and I got an email from UPS that an order is being shipped so I'm assuming it's the pad as there wasn't any other info, just something weighing 13 lbs was being sent from Wisconsin. Question: has anyone using memory foam and with furbabies had any problems with their pets chewing up the foam? That would be my only fear. Not sure how my dog will react to it. ;)

Some of you are going thru some yucky, scary weather. Please take care!

Good morning all!

Well, I'm playing hookey (sp?) again today so I can get an early start on my camping trip with RVW. I know ... the weather's supposed to be wild, with possible SNOW as low as 1000-1500 feet! We don't get snow in Southern California like that! I think that by going further south for the camping trip we'll dodge that bullet, but it's supposed to be pretty cold and wet. Kind of wish I was staying home, just to see if we get snow here. I've asked friends to take pictures if we get some.

I won't have wi-fi or cell phone coverage at this campground, so I'll have to catch up with you all when I get home on Sunday. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Laura probably won't see this, but the elevation where she lives is about 800 feet, and the elevation where she is camping is 1330 feet, so she is more likely to see snow there, than at home! Hope she took her camera! I am at about 1200 feet so I could see some flakes here too (no, not referring to my neighbors  ). Ack!!!!
