Okay, what's up with the forum header. :o All kinds of crazy warnings, and computer junk about the header being out of wack. I can still post though I notice. The ORS site is blanked out on the Forum page, so no postings going on there. Something must have put a bug in the system. Hopefully poor Beth can figure it out. What a way to end the year.

Cloudy day here today. Gonna get warmer as week progresses. Upper 20's, low 30's today and up a bit more tomorrow. Rain showers for Friday and then colder with some snow behind it, but stlll no sign of Arctic air. We won't write winter off yet. There's still 3 months left and here it can go into April and has been know to snow even in May especially around Mother's Day. But by February you can already feel the warmth in the sun more and more.

I have trouble getting going these mornngs this time of year when it's still kind of gray at 9 a.m. Feels like it's earlier than it actually is. I don't like being in jammies all morning, so as soon as I finish this posting, I am off to take a quick bath and hit the road in awhle. Going to visit some friends down the road about 30 miles.

Had a nice surprise yesterday. Took the girls over to the park to walk around for a bit and discovered that my boss had gone through the north campground with a snowmobile and packed the road down hard. So we can walk all over in there now. Whoooppppppeeee. Neat. He starts out from behind the HQ buildings and goes up our service road and out that way, so the snowmobilers who use the park main road to access the lake, don't see the tracks and head off for a run. No snowmobiles allowed in the park except on the access corridor. So hopefully we will be able to keep going over there a few times a week for a change of scenery. Roads around here are getting boring. But we have enough places to keep walking right now as long as we can get through our paths.

Otherwise not much going on here. Picked up some more stuff from Hobby Loby for my scrapebook. With 50% off on all of it, I am saving a nice little bundle of money right now. Gone about as far as I can there right now. Need to find a state silhoutte for one page, but will get it eventually. Have checked on the interenet but some of them won't print off right, so I stopped doing that for now. I knw of a source to order one, and may do that.

So have a great day everyone, and hopefully our sites will be back to normal before long.

good morning ladies
hopefully you girls will find your way back after the "glitch" and we'll see what ya'll are
up to today. Myself...I was forced to go to walmart cause I had nothing better to do
Its nippy and cold out, but sunshiny so by the afternoon it should feel pretty good. Will
enjoy it today and tomorrow and then the weatherguesser says we're having a bitter
cold snap on Thursday.
Did a little more carpet cleaning this morning in the bedroom, worked on a greasy spot
from the previous guy and its coming out pretty good. Will do more spots later.
Extra laundry today, time for the sheets and stuff like that, and put a clean set on the
bed.
Thats about it from my world.
Enjoy your day and hope ya'll stay warm and don't get snowed in.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

It's a bright sun shiny morning out there today. Thermometer says it's about 42f but feels warmer cause of the sun! Feels extra nice knowing that later in the week it's suppose to go down to 0 - 5f. Brrrrr! So I'm gonna enjoy it while it's sunny.

Shade and I were outside about an hour ago and saw a rock slide behind the houses that are in the golf course and built at the base of the cliffs. Heard the rumble and looked at just the right place at just the right time! What a cloud of dust and what not. No freaking way would anyone get me to live in one of those houses!!!! I might be dumb sometimes but I sure ain't stupid!! There's still a slab of rock sitting up on the face of the cliff that sure the heck looks to be ready to come down. The slab looks to be 'resting' on a bunch of gravel. Wonder how long it will be before it comes down. Hope they have real good insurance!

Nothing much going on here. Think I will run to the grocery store and pick up some carrots? I have a nice beef roast that we picked up when we got groceries as it was on a good sale. YUM! I'll do that up in the crockpot for tomorrows supper. But as yet I don't have a clue what I'm gonna fix tonight! Need to think about it and get something out of the freezer, unless I declare a "fend for yourself" night! ;) And of course there's always dishes to wash! ~sigh~

OK, I'm outta here. Gonna go read any other postings to see what ya'll been up to! Have a great day and please stay safe!!!

Love to all

Here's the morning post I was not able to enter this morning on this site, due to some weird glitch! I am now back in my house at Orlando. I left the furnace and hot water heater on back in the trailer, and refilled my propane tank. It was only half empty, so that's not too bad. I will probably stay here until Thursday, and then go back to get the trailer ready for camping, if the kids are still up for it.

GOOD MORNING ALL FROM FROSTY ST. CLOUD!

It was 22 degrees this morning at dawn, and was below freezing since 8:00 last night when it was already down to 30 degrees. Here are a couple more pictures of what it looked like.

Image
Another shot of very frosty yard at dawn.

Frosty truck.

This has broken records all over FL, from what the news is saying. I can't imagine how cold it got further north, where Liz and Kathleen are! My only consolation is watching the blizzard conditions in the northeast, although, I am thinking that would be more fun than worrying about pipes freezing down here where there is no snow.

I'm not sure if I will go back to Orlando today or if I will wait until tomorrow when the weather is supposed to ease up and get warm again. I should save the gas money, I think. I sure do wish my retirement check would come early this month, but I'm sure it won't! I need to refill my propane tanks today, no matter what else I do, so we will have full tanks for the camping trip, if we indeed do it. I'll probably head back to Orlando tomorrow to pick up my bike, check on the plants and orange trees over there to see if they are still alive, or not.

I haven't yet read any posts from yesterday as it was too cold to sit outside on the porch, so I will read them all this morning from inside here as both kids are off working today. The trailer was warm last night, but the poor furnace had to run every 20 minutes, or so, all night. My hot water heater also came on several times, trying to keep the tank hot and frost-free. This tank of propane has lasted very well.

I hope you all are shoveled out, if you were in the blizzard, or warming up if you were in the heavy frosts and coldness. Let's hope for a warmer January!

It is not morning, but felt I should tell you all about Maggie and alllll my snow on the morning thread. Sorry, it wasn't earlier today, but couldn't be helped,

Maggie, seems to be acting what to her is normal, she loves this snow and running and nosing around in it. I am wondering "IF " it was the pressure that was associated with that storm. She tried so hard to get her nose under my neck and rub her ears on my shoulder, when I rubbed her head she was still, except for quivering all over like she does when there is a storm. Until someone mentioned it, I didn't associate any storm actions to her. But if a rain is coming she will just shake all over. Bad snow storm, that we were only prepared for 2 inches and have ended up with 36 hrs of it coming down amounted to over a foot, I was just so floored about all of that and the sky was looking really scary too, but with all of this, the heater goes off.. Too much at once to comprehend what was really happening.

Heater is fixed, old guy came right out, Macho like, he has a 4 wheel drive :) I'm glad for him and me. He showed me what to try if it does it again, because of course, after being off , it started right up for him. I tried turning it back on and did all I could think of BEFORE calling him, and nothing, he turns breaker on and it starts right up. Why does this always happen to women? Anyway, I'm warm again

We are expecting rain Wed., so hopefully that will get the 8 inches of snow off my car and wash the ice away on it. I cleaned some of it off and found an inch or so of ice and said forget it. It would take my whole bottle of de icer to clean it up, but temp is and has been way below freezing so no need to waste it. I don't want to go anywhere anyway.

I will take Maggie, as soon as roads are better and as soon as I can get out of my driveway, just to be sure she is ok, almost time for her regular visit anyway.
I hope this all makes sense enough that you all know that I think Maggie is ok, and heater is working but I am still snowed in and the 2ft or more long icicles hanging from the eaves of my house are almost gone and none clunked me on the head when I went out. :o  For the period of time I have been here, this is the most snow and such I have had to deal with, so excuse me for being not quite right in the head ok? ;)

Have a nice evening everyone, I hope too, unless I have burnt my meal

CArol :)

That's a $%&*load of snow for your part of the country, Carol! No wonder little Maggie was acting strange, as I am sure she felt the pressure changes as well as your anxiety as the snow kept falling and falling and falling!

I am very glad to hear your heater is working, and that the two of you are staying warm! Be careful of shoveling all that heavy snow----it's a real dangerous job, as I am sure you are well aware of, for human hearts and circulatory systems.
