Let's start our day with a good morning here.

NOT A BAD TUESDAY

Good Morning out there,

My goodness, is everybody sleeping in this morning. It's almost 8 a.m. and nobody's posted yet. Staying all nice and snug in your warm beds.

I wook up at 5 a.m., all bright eyed and bushy tailed. Tessa wanted out and so we headed for the door, followed by Sassy. I did go back to bed for a bit, but decided to heck with it and stayed up They didn't stay out too long as it's only around 10 degrees with a -6 wind chill. But looks like another nice day on tap. Nice sunshine almost all day yesterday and no snow.

Got all my snowblowing done yesterday and everythings cleaned up from the storm. Life is pretty much back to normal up here now. All schools are open with a few exceptions yet.

Got to head into town in a bit here. Chiropractor appt. and then to KMart for a few special Christmas cards. Out to the vet's to make dog appt. Sassy is due for yearly shot. Tessa need nail trim etc. After that I head home and get into whatever. Nothing special planned. Oh yeah, I have to make stop at P.O. for stamps so I can mail my Christmas letters.

Otherwise nothing much going on around here. Keep warm, those of you who are in the south where it's been rather chilly. And everyone, enjoy your day, whatever it brings.

Oh, forgot to mention, the Memory Stick and both adapters are here. So now it's back to the Photography business. Hooray. Those of you, wishing for a White Christmas scene, I will post some when mom nature puts some glisten on the treetops. Right now things are kind of bland.

Good-morning ! I can't believe this, its 3 degrees here, and I have to take Maggie out in this? Not much traffic, everyone who can is advised to stay home or to really drive carefully, so many wrecks in the morning news out on I-75 and I-24 in Chattanooga. I, of course, am staying home, nothing I need bad enough to get out on those roads. The southern states don't get the allotment of sand or salt for our roads, so these mountain roads, are almost impossible to travel on days such as this. The DOT, has to try to keep the interstates salted or sanded for all you guys up north that want to head farther south, don't stop here, though

Several things on the to do list, nothing new here, except for the temp, that surprised me. Stay warm and safe everyone, Tina, your description of driving home from Mi. gave me shrivers, I have been and done that but for only a couple of miles. So glad you and your furry friends are all safe. Barbie, such great news, about the job, not the roomy moving out though, hope you get someone you get along with in there. Did you sign a lease agreement or just something with that roomy, I think you like your place, so hope all works out for you. Kathleen, stay warm, sorry its so cold for you down there. Beth, I was glad to hear your time is getting short there, with your heater not working, I've wondered how you were making out. I hope also that when you head to Huntsville, that the road conditions are better then they are now.

What BJ, stated yesterday and Mitch and Lenora said  ;)  What a riot the old boyfriend of Li caused on here, I laughed my head off. You gals are great on here. I wondered when he said the rig was so pretty, why he didn't first comment how Great you looked, Li.? Keep us posted ;) ;) :) :P

Have a Great day everyone, stay safe, and warm, and enjoy !!

Good Morning All - if it makes any of you feel better - I am sitting here in a sweat suit - cool and again very foggy out. Can hear the water but not see it. Even the seagulls aren't out waiting for Bill to feed them. Yesterday the fog never burned off until around 2:00.
Got an e-mail from our house sitter started out - " Welcome from the Artic" - guess it is about 2 degrees there. He also let us know we had a letter from our bank - telling us something we discovered yesterday - Our bank - in their wonderfulness - has put a freeze on our ATM bank cards for fraud - because they are being used in WHERE ELSE Mexico - guess who we told before we left that we were going to Mexico for the winter - THE BANK So how can we solve it? why call them of course - and here on the beach we have NO cellphone service! Our friend/manager in the branch at home could have called them for us but he is out of the office until Friday (we can reach him by email.) So either today we go into town where the phone hopefully works well enough to get through to them or wait until Friday and have our friend do it for us. Never a dull moment.
Also mentioned the mouse button on my laptop broke. Did find a wireless mouse in town but it is same brand as Bills so they like to play with each other when both are being used. GRRRRR..
Updated the blog a couple of times yesterdau - about the fishing village farmers market and the procession we participated in. Today will add some more about Alamos and just some pictures from here in Mexico.
Had a delicious dinner last night - Chili Rellenos - yum excellent cooks here in the restaurant in the campground.

GOOD LATE MORNING TO ALL!

Sorry about your frozen water, Kath, but good to hear it thawed out by itself. It sure did get cold last night as there was frost on the grass even here in Orlando when I took Molly out early on. I am hoping my remaining oranges, which I left on the trees, won't be ruined. I picked and brought in a bunch of them to make some fresh juice for this week. The sun is warmer today as the winds have died down considerably, thank goodness.

Carol, you definitely need some Yak Trax for walking on ice----so easy to velcro on your boot soles, and amazingly efficient at providing traction. I sold my brother on getting some last year for walking on his steep driveway while snow blowing, and he no longer has to get on his hands and knees to navigate the hill! Make sure to get the REAL spiral-traks of Yak Trax, and not the cheaper versions sold under other names you can find at Kinney's Drugs, and other places. Those spirals are the ticket for the good traction.

Anita sounds as if she is having a wonderful winter out in the deserts on those sand-buggies, or whatever they are called! I am still looking for an inexpensive slide-in truck camper like you have, for my trip home in the spring, and for summer camping back there. They are lacking in the classifieds down here, and on Craig's List. The thought of having to haul that TT back makes me cringe, but, if I have to in order to have a camper next summer, I might have to bite the bullet and do it.

Today I will look for some Christmas CDs and something to play them on, if I can find any decent sales in the area. The only thing I miss here at this house now is a CD player, and radio. The music options on my cable aren't the greatest, and the teensy little speakers on my 19 inch TV leave a lot to be desired!

Molly and I will go for a long walk somewhere today, avoid the aligators in the pond, and get some much-needed exercise. If the winds stay down, I will atempt to ride my bike around the community, too.

I will be looking forward to seeing some pretty snow pictures, Sue, now that you are back in business!

The kids have decided that Thursday evening will be the one for us to visit the doings at Disney and see all the lights there, as it's supposed to warm up some by then. They will come from work, which is far closer to this house than to their new house, and stay overnight to save on gas money. I will go back to the trailer one day before then to make sure all is well there, to pick up some things I forgot (like my guitar and fiddle music) and some warmer clothes.

I hope you all are staying warm, wherever you are, and whatever you are doing. Beth is nearing the end of her work-stint, and must be looking forward to some time off again. I am looking forward to the GTG in January up north of here.

Later.........
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

[color=#800080]Good morning Ladies

Thought I would drop in early today instead of just in the evening. It is raining here and the wind is really blowing. Ron is still sleeping (9:38 a.m.) that doesn't happen very often. Hope he is not getting sick. I am sitting by the window to see if any customers come by. I doubt it with the nasty weather we are having.

I think I will enjoy warm weather next winter when we are in Hondo, TX. Can't believe we are really moving. Guess it will become more real after we are back in Blaine and packing things up to take with us.

I don't know much else this morning. Boy is it dark outside... car just stopped and looked and then kept driving. Guess they don't want a tree right now.

Have a great day![/color

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Got pretty chilly last night as it was all frosted up this morning when Shade and I first went out the door. But the sun is shining brightly and it's warming up nicely. Yeah!!!

Made potato soup last night, Kelly and I both made oinks of ourselves. Have been really hungry for it and it turned out fantastic too! YUM Gave a container of it to the neighbor. She said she had already eaten but that she would eat it today. There isn't much left over which is a bummer as then we could have it as supper again! :D ;)

Ended up not going anywhere yesterday so today I will hit the lumber store to buy the roof sealant and get that done as we are suppose to have some rain/snow coming later in the week and Kelly is gonna get shuffled off to do some laundry! Here at the park it only costs 75 cents per load! YAY

I see that there were some posting of goings on that I know nothing about so I am gonna scoot and find out what's up. Hope everyone has a great day, that they warm up and stay safe!

Love to all

Tis a great day here in Central Texas. Temp now is at 68 per my thermometer. It sure is windy however and the lake has white caps. Have the window open to let the food smells and cooking heat out. Made a pot of vegetable beef soup. Cooked up some other things and put them in the freezer so they will be easy to fix. Should be set for the week now on food. Found a jar or mincemeat and will make a pie for Christmas for the family GTG. Been ages since I have eaten mincemeat.

Since I didn't clean house yesterday, I did do the laundry, must do that this afternoon. Need to fix yard furniture as the wind has blown over the chair, bird water pan, and the patio rug. Then I'll start on the Chirstmas gifts...need to box, sack or wrap them. That's the part I really don't like to do. But I checked and no one else here to do it.

All stay safe, warm and have fun.
