Thought I would be the first in to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving.

And I'll be number two! Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

A very Happy Thanksgiving to each and every one of you. One thing I'll be thankful for today are all you special people on this forum - many I've met, more I hope to meet!

I love Thanksgiving - gives me time to reflect on everything I'm thankful for - and it's a LOT. While most of you are getting ready or heading out - I'll be thankful for my bed and the sleep I'll be getting.

Hope you are all happy and whether alone, with family or friends (or family and friends) please, enjoy this special day.

Good morning ladies, and Happy Thanksgiving to all, I'm so very thankful
for my friends and family and many other things as well.
No warmed over coffee this morning, made a fresh pot as the slide is in
and no access to the microwave to warm up yesterdays pot. (Something I
will put on my list for the future "new" rv when I get it)
No word from the parking company I applied at, so guess I didn't get one
of those positions, but there is till hope that they will hold it and call on
me if they need me.
I'll spend the morning packing up the last minute stuff to transfer over to
Ron's, like my clock radio, god forbid I forget that! and deliver over there
on my way to my date with a turkey
Will spend tomorrow pulling down my dog panels and stowing inside and
then the move happens saturday.
Linda, wages are lower here than other places, I'm just now making the
same wages as when I quit in Colorado in 2000 and that was 10 years
ago. Is it possible to accept the other job at the lower wage and build
up some "gas money" to get you to Sacramento? Also check Backpage.com
for jobs, its similar to craigslist.
Ok, its time for breakfast, and that would be apple pie

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, everybody. My goodness. At this early hour on a holiday (it's 6:36 a.m.) I didn't think there would be anyone on this site this early. Guess I was wrong. Everybody got thoughts of turkey floating around in their heads, so can't sleep Some of you I know are making dinner, others are staying home and having whatever the whim strikes, and others are going to friends or relatives. Whatever you do, have a very happy and enjoyable day.

And I'm sure some of you are making plans for Black Friday. Got those shopping lists all set to go or will have after dinner is over and everybody sits down to figure out who is going to hit what store and buy whatever. I don't have to Christmas shop. Some of the bargains look terrific, but I don't have green to spend right now. Plus we have snow and wind for tomorrow. Wlll stay nice and snug in my house here and pull the wallpaper off the soffits. And fix my turkey so I can have leftovers.

Gee, it's dark out. And wet. Not sure if it's rain or a mix, but it's doing something. They say to watch the roads this morning for icy conditions. But otherwise it's going to be aquiet day. Sloppy travel conditions in the areas where the front is still going through. The wrap around comes in later tonight. I'll head for my cousin's later this afternoon. Have to run over to the park and feed our "park cat". He's a stray that my boss let in about 7 years or so ago due to below zero weather. Had been hanging around for awhile I guess. Technically we are not supposed to have animals in state buildings, but he kept this one around. Says he was a good mouser and chipmunk cat. Kept them out of the garage and shop etc. Well, he used to. But he's gotten older and spoiled now, so he pretty much doesn't bother with them, not to say he doesn't nail one once in awhile. He's a good cat. Loveable and one of those crawl in your lap and sleep cats. Somebody either lost a good cat and threw him out. But the permanent staff are all going out of town for holiday this year, so asked if I would mind. No problem, it's only about 3 miles up the road here.

Good Morning from Cullman Alabama... it will be 75 today... Wendy and Sarah will be here later and we will have dinner together and gab... we sure know how to do that... I am looking forward to meeting Wendy I met Sarah at the Fl GTG last year...
My blessings are to numerous to count... and I am thankful for each one... especial the people in my life... family friends and many I have never met yet...

[color=#800000][b]A VERY WONDERFUL AND HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF US!!!

As I am reading that the temperature at home is standing at 15 degrees F., it is in the high 70s here already, with a wonderful breeze and low humidity. I know it's Thanksgiving Day as Melissa is busy in the kitchen making preparations, but it just doesn't feel like it weather-wise! It's forecast to get into the 80s today, and, if that happens, I will get into the pond so I can say I went swimming on Thanksgiving for the first time in my life! Goog has been out in his canoe on his pond, fishing and catching bass and crappies, and I have been watching him on the bank with Molly as I had never seen a crappie before. They are a beautifully spectacular fish with gold all over them!

We are having turkey, pumpkin pie, home-made cranberry sauce with a 'secret ingredient', mashed potatoes, gravy, turnip, pole beans stuffing, and who-knows-what else might be on the menu! Melissa is making everything from scratch for her first Thanksgiving dinner she has ever made. She is very organized, and very determined to make this perfect!

I can't remember if I told anyone about the fact that I now own that beautiful 'pine' (which I believe is maple as it's way too dense and heavy to be pine) table and 4-chair dining set. I managed to get them to come down from the original 195.00 price tag to 150 yesterday. That set has been calling out my name ever since I saw it last Friday at the auction. WhenI get it back to my house, and all set up, I will take some pics of it. It looks very much like Sue's pretty set. It has a good-sized leaf with it to allow it to go from round to oval when needed.

My job for the day is to cut up (machete) the turnip and cook that. I can handle that much work!

Later, we will all go to the lakeside park and walk along the water, to get rid of some of the excess calories we will consume.

I hope everyone has a day to be thankful for, for whatever the reasons. I am so very thankful for all of you out there in camperland, or would-be camperland. Without you all, I would not be down here today. Thank you all for being the neatest group of people I have ever been fortunate enough to meet.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! After reading dpf's post at the moment I am very thankful that it isn't 1 degree here! It is still raining and I am hearing a strange drip drip drip and hoping it is from outside and not the roof leaking. It isn't too cold now but temps to drop during the day and turn to winter mix this evening.
We are staying home and I plan to bake a small pork loin later. I cooked my DH some Lugania sausage this morning so he is a happy man. Lugania is an Italian sausage that I get in a small market that only makes it for a few months out of the year.
I've been doing dog baths this week, two down and one to go whew. Yesterday I ended up having to clean the whole bathroom. Starting with the drain, then of course scrub the tub, then finally the floor! I was pooped. Winnie said I was going to have to sleep on the floor if I didn't get my bath. I had to walk everyone this morning, when it rains they refuse to go unless I take them, yes these dogs spoiled, I am so well trained.
I too am thankful for this forum and all my friends.

Happy Thanksgiving from Pigeon Forge, TN. The turkey's in the oven here in our mountain cabin, and everyone is bustling about working on the side dishes. My contribution is the green bean casserole which is ready for the oven when the time comes. It's a beautiful sunny 66 degrees, so a hike to the top of the mountain is in order for this afternoon. Tomorrow rain, and a cold front is predicted with temps dropping to the 20s. Snow, instead of rain, if it happens would be fun.

Yesterday we were similarly blessed with nice weather for our tour through Cades Cove, and we enjoyed a fun evening at Dolly Parton'e Dixie Stampede...."Christmas in the Smokies", show.

I am blessed and thankful to be living the life I do, able to have good times with family and friends, and to share it all with my best friends ever....all of you. May your day be blessed with God's riches.

Happy Thanksgiving to all on the forum. I am grateful for all my family and friends. We are going to have Thanksgiving on Friday because my son in law has full time duty on the Coast Guard cutter and won't be off duty untyl tomorrow. I am thankful for the heater in my daughter's house, as it is still very chilly. Hope all of you well and good eats.

GOOD TURKEY DAY MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Brrrrrr it was freaking cold last night and this morning. Took Shade outside to P. She sure the heck didn't waste any time squatting and wanting back into the trailer! LOL With blowing her coat the way she did she is feeling the cold. Might have to drag out some fleece and make her a little over coat! Probably use red for her little coat.

Left the sink trickling last night. ~sigh~ It wasn't enough. So I will be taking the hose off and bringing it inside to thaw then will attack the faucet and possibly crawl under the trailer to attack the pipes with the hair dryer. OH JOY. Leaving the water dribble has been working just fine but must have just not left it dribbling enough last night with the extra cold temps. Dang it!!

Picked up a small 10lb turkey yesterday. As soon as it thaws and is wiggly and squishy it will fit in the crockpot. I am so looking forward to it. YUM! Also went to the biggie thrift store called Deseret Ind. and got a microwave!!! WooHoo I am really stoked to have gotten it. They only had one and it was only $20. Went and snitched a coffee cup off the shelf and had Kelly go to the women's room to fill it with water to see if it worked before buying it. YAY, needless to say it did! Now to get it out of the truck and in here in the cabinet where it belongs. See doesn't take a whole lot to perk me up and make for happiness in my day!

I so hope everyone will have a decent day. I think just about all of us are having issues to deal with now buti t's a good day to remember things to be Thankful for in your life. So take a few minutes to be thoughtful and then Thankful! If your traveling for any reason today for goodness sake be careful and watch out for the crazies!

Happy Turkey Day, gobble, gobble!

Precious, my new kitty, came out from under the bed last night and hopped up next to me. She is really a sweet, loving, purring kitty! Loves to be petted, rubbed and scratched! She is now checking out the rest of the apartment. She is cute! She has this low growl as she stays low to the floor and checks things out!

I am very thankful for many things this year! Not the least of which is this forum and you ladies! I would not be here living my dream in Southern California if I hadn't met you all, especially Linda (Bikerchik). I am thankful for my job, my health, my apartment, my sweet roommate, my new kitty, my car that has traveled many miles to get me here safely, my view out of my bedroom window of the mountains, the 60 degree weather here this morning, etc...

My dad called last night and told me that last weekend they had an ice storm and he went out to get the mail and slipped and fell. He luckily broke his fall with his hand but thought he broke a finger. Turns out it was just dislocated and will be fine. So at 84 years old, he is very lucky! He is planning on coming out here for my birthday in January.

Hope you all get stuffed and have nice naps afterward!
