GOOD MORNING ALL-----and I think it really is Tuesday today, yes?? According to my task bar on this laptop, it is indeed! Sorry about my day thing, and I actually wondered why I hadn't seen any post from Sue! Sigh---life is more confusing than ever down here in wherever I am!
The washing machine repair man came yesterday, replaced a huge top-of-the-tub gasket, tried the machine out----no leaks. As soon as he left, I put a load of clothes in. Leaked all over the place! Got immediately on the phone to call him back and it was lunch hour-----nobody available! Decided to try Orange County Utilities (water and wastewater) once again, for the fourth or fifth time, to get them to allow me to log onto my new account that they charged me 16.00 to set up. That 16 dollars was now due, so I paid that over the phone. They said that by tonight I should be able to once again set up an account online using my email address as required. We shall see.
Meanwhile, I was able to get the repair man back out here and he has now ordered another gasket-like thing for the bttom of the tub. Hmmm.....the old machine really does a bangup job of cleaning clothes, and I would rather keep it than replace it with one of the newer, tin foil models they make now. Until that get installed, I will just mop up the floor when I do a wash. It's out in the garage, so doesn't matter.
We had the first rain yesterday that I have seen since I arrived here. Luckily I always keep a raincoat in the truck so I went into Publix super market in a torrential downpour and stayed dry. Unfortunately, the rain didn't last long enough to make a difference in the drought.
I am up early this morning as I wanted to make sure I put all the garbage out by the road. I am wondering if Carol is up, as she says she usually is at this hour. Hi Carol!
Today I'm off to Lowes to exchange the garbage disposal unit (Weldon and Melissa forgot to tell me that the dishwasher dumps into that defunct old disposal, and, as I wanted to see if the washer worked, I tried it out! More flooding in the kitchen this time!) And I need a ladder to get up and clean out the rain gutters and drains that the squirrels have stopped up.
Then I hope to spend some time in the pool and spa before heading back to St. Cloud. I can't believe it's Thanksgiving, and it's warm enough to swim!
Hope your trek is going smoothly, Kath! It sounds as if Pete has been busy getting the glitches out of his huge new rig. And Bobby is just plain as sarcastic as ever! Sue is also very busy, and so is Karen with her wonderful Mac!
Here's hoping you all are having a family-planning feast day for whatever day that comes on! Happy travels and experiences to all!
