What a beautiful Thursday morning in Kerrville. Was supposed to get really cold, about 31 and it didn't! This morning it was only about 36. It will be another clear, cloudless day. My list for today includes grocery shopping; getting a few 'needs' from WallyWorld; putting my license tag on the car; washing my car; doing a load of laundry; and tearing down the rig for tomorrow's travel day. Told Karen and Sharon that I would do dinner tonight so will get that ready for a fun dinner. Will be headed to Schertz in the morning along with Karen and Sharon. Be glad to see some more of the sistahs over there.
Got up early and had my shower and got all ready for my day. So come on sunshine. Having French Vanilla coffee after the orange that I peeled. So come on in and enjoy the coffee, sun and friendship.

GOOD MORNING, BIRDIE, AND ALL!
My desktop temperature thingy says it's 33 degrees at home, and my trailer thermometer says it's about 67 degrees here, with the sun still under fog cover this morning. It's supposed to be about a 75 degree day here later----how perfect is that?!
I had the nightmare of my life come true last night when I made my driving debut with Orlando International Airport! First off, when we were about half way there, I realized I had forgotten to bring my purse with all my credit cards, money, and driver's license with us! That alone put the fear of hell in me! I chose a really great route to get there from St. Cloud, and it was perfect-----until we missed an important 'bear right' and ended up way off course, having to get onto a toll road, and go into the airport from a direction I wasn't counting on. I knew I would never be able to find my way out of there without having gone the way my mind was imprinted with the route map. The roads we took were just like my roads at home, one lane each way, with places to turn left, a couple of lights, and some minor construction. We were about the only cars on the road at that time......beautiful way to go. BUT----when we mssed whatever road/veer-off we missed, all hell broke loose. We finally did get there, thanks to some money Sue had to pay the dollar toll for the meager mile and a half we spent on the toll road. The airport is designed with a circular route that surrounds it, and other roads to the various terminals merging off that. We actually found the Jet Blue terminal, which had cars lined up 3 across in front as people were letting others out and saying goodbye. All the while I was wondering how on earth I was going to find my way home. I never thought to re-program Tom Tom for Goog's home address as I was sitting there, so he thought we were still going to the airport!
Anyway, I finally got out of the terminal area, and Goog had said to follow the SOUTH exit out of there and it should bring me right to Boggy Creek Road, which is what I wanted. Suddenly, after following the south exit signs, I saw a sign saying I was about to get on a toll road to Cape Canaveral! I had one exit before that road, and then was on a road all by myself, no signs anywhere, no speed limit, no nothing......just me in limbo-land! I tried to pull over into a little pull-off area to call Goog and reprogram Tom Tom, but a sign said no parking at any time. Remembering I had no license with me, on I trucked....into nowhere land. I finally managed to call Goog, but had no idea where I was so he couldn't help me! I traveled on and finally realized I was back on the roads to the terminals of the airport! I once again followed the signs to south exit, managed to avoid getting onto a toll road that would have taken me to St. Cloud, but, as I had no money and no license, that was a no-go. After crying and feeling as if I were in the beltway around Washington DC, a circle to nowhere, I finally circled yet another time, managed to go under that toll road that time, and discovered Boggy Creek Road! You will never know my relief! By then, it was dark, rush hour, and the road was packed for as far as one could see with bumper-to-bumper traffic, and I didn't care as I could relax and sit back and inch along!
From now on, if anyone wishes to come visit via plane, I will happily pay for the cab fare to get from there and back!!!
I just lost most of my message due to something, and I have no patience to type all over, so I am out of here now-----I so hate to do that. Until later.......have a good day all.

Good morning all, it is cool and cloudy here, even got a tiny bit of rain overnight! I'm sharing a bowl of oat bran with Winnie, one of her favs.
I'm thinking of you this morning Kathleen and hope your feeling ok after the dentist visit. I know you are glad to have the tooth out and not have to worry about doing it later. Also I hope you are all finished packing up and ready to roll. Sounds as though Soos has lots of good weather to share and is having a great time in the sun, well at least most of the time. Soos I keep a bit of mad money in my van for emergencies, you just have to remember where you hide it!
My mouth is finally feeling better after I threw out the #&$* mouthwash they told me to use, it made my whole entire mouth & tongue sore. Of course it was the generic brand with lord knows what in it, the name brand needed to be ordered which would have taken a couple of days...a friend used to be a pharmaceutical rep and saw all recall rates on the generic stuff which our wonderful system has decided is good enough for the masses. I bought some goldenseal powder at the Coop and using that to brush with, tastes awful but my mouth is much better. The part that really ticked me off was when I called the dentist to say I thought the mouthwash was making sores in my mouth they said, oh you don't need it now...you would think they would have said use for X number of days. Since it had 1 refill I figured I was to use it longer than a week. Well gees I guess I needed to get that out sorry for ranting so early in the morning. I did have a wonderful massage yesterday! And received a really cute video of my friends baby taking his first steps with a huge smile on his face.
Birdie hope you all enjoy Schertz.

Good Morning early birds and late birds... sounds like you are having a mini caravan toward a gtg Birdie... Wow Soos that is the air port that I drove my old MH to so John and Pete could drive it back... once you get it figured out you are ready to leave... but you made it great for you... if you had your Tom Tom you could have just put your sons address in it and it would program from where you were... the satellite picks up where you are at...
Oh BJ so sorry for the tooth problems... mine are better after I lost two days... but that is fine will leave Sat or Sun and be fine...
My son is doing good now he has to go to cardiac rehab and cannot go back to work until Dec 6... long time... and he had used all of his sick time earlier this year when he was sick... just think he has never used his sick time... he simply would go in and forget what ever ailment was bothering him and work... now that is a different story...
Now that I can carry things again I will be done with Bright Beauty this afternoon... Will get the license plate, tag and drivers license this morning... when that was on my list it did not get done my face was way to swollen to do that on Tuesday... Shadow was a pain last night he slept in his kennel in the kitchen and was up at 6am throwing his blanket and chasing back and forth... silly dog...
We have clouds and a cool day here... coffee is good am finishing the rest of the Star Bucks...
Have a safe travel day and enjoy
Kathleen

Soos, I'd be nervous without my purse too. But police are usually pretty gracious when things like that happen and will just ask you to either bring ID to a local precinct when you get home or let it go altogether.
Whenever I've moved to a new area (and I've done a fair amount of that in my life) I fill the gas tank up, pack a lunch, and then head out on the roads just to see where they'll take me. As long as I've got gas I don't feel worried. Think of getting lost as an adventure and a way to see new sights. It's all in how you look at it. I do the same thing when I'm traveling, too. As long as I know the general direction I want to go and have enough gas I just let the roads take me. I did that coming home this summer from the NW. Granted, there are a couple of main freeways that'll get me from north to south pretty easily, but knowing that I'll be okay really gives me the freedom to enjoy the scenery.
Soos, I wish for you some patience for yourself to enjoy being somewhere unfamiliar to you. Getting uptight about it takes all the fun out of the change of pace and scenery. And I'm going to pray that you look for ways to laugh at your circumstances instead of allowing them to raise your blood pressure (speaking as a high BP sufferer also).
Hang in there. Enjoy the weather, your family, and the fact that you're not stuck in a job you didn't like. It certainly could be worse.

Relax & enjoy the perfect sun-shiny day today, Soos. I hate driving to the Orlando Airport too. I suck-up and pay the tolls, but still worry about making the wrong turn in downtown...have done that.
Not much happening here today. Had an early haircut appt., did some grocery shopping after. There's always cleaning, etc. that I could do in the house, or yard trimming....but I'm in the middle of a good book, so...
My dd says the weather forecast is for cold & rain in TN next week where we'll be. Maybe it'll get cold enough to snow instead of rain, so we can at least play in it. It'll be fun anyway.
Wish I knew what "Schertz" is, so I'd know what I'm missing.
Praying for good news on job searches, lost cat, etc.

Morning!
Poured rain most of the night but seems clearer this AM. I don't think it's to last long, tho. The mountain passes are getting hammered. Skiers are happy. Later with week we are to get below freezing at night.
Yesterday I went back to my pharmacy to get my meds that I forgot the day before. While in line I saw they were running a special on flu shots, 19.99. The gal in front of me was signing up and we got to talking and I decided to check into it. I've had only one flu shot in my life and that was 45 yrs ago and it made me and my siblings so sick I have never gotten another one. I shared this with the pharmacist and she assured me that it's much different now. The deal breaker would be if my insurance wouldn't pay for it. She called and they pay 100%, so I went ahead. My shoulder is pretty sore, hard to sleep, but she warned me about that. Said the serum would take 2 wks to kick in. So we'll see how it goes.
Nothing planned for today. Guess i'll do some reading.
Looking forward to reading about your travel south, Kathleen. Bet you are excited.
Sarah, saw a commercial on TV yesterday about the recall on the hip replacements!
Carol, glad you made it to LV safely. Enjoy your time with the family.
Looks like some of the sistahs are haveing a GTG near Kerrville. Pictures required!
Awaiting news on AVa's driving job and also Barbie's lost kitty.

Hello Sistahs!
It's late enought that I wasn't gonna post in here but after reading and laughing at Soos misadventure going to and from the airport? I just had to post. I wasn't laughing in meanness Soos, but I was laughing in sympathy. I have so been there done that. I did it in Atlanta GA then had to drive to a satellite military base and back to the airport. What fun! Laura has the right of it. It's scary without your purse but learning to chillax is empowering. When I get in those situations if I don't catch myself first I get angry and frustrated so then I cry. Catching myself first I don't give a crap about anyone or anything, I pull over and do some deep breathing. As to the sign that said NO PARKING? Bah you weren't gonna "park". What you were gonna be doing is what they call "STANDING". Parking, you turn off the vehicle and walk away from it leaving it there. Standing is when you stay with the vehicle, whether it's on or off. Just think in a couple of months you will come to know the roads down there too and you'll be buzzing all over the place.
Pick yourself up a area/county map and stash it in your glovebox, it will make ya feel better and help ya out too.
It was simply a beautiful day here today. Nice sun shine, wispy cloud cover, baby breezes couldn't really ask for better for November. Loved every minute of it. Hope everyone had great day today. Hope you spent time on yourself doing what you wanted or needed.
Love to everyone
