CLOUDY SUNDAY MORNING

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

CLOUDY SUNDAY MORNING

Postby Colliemom » Sun Nov 14, 2010 7:36 am

Good morning everyone,

Looks like I'm the first one up this morning. Just breaking daylight out there now. Cloudy and windy. Gonna be a good stay inside day once I get home from church and make a stop at WalMart.

Thinking I"m going to start washing the kitchen walls down from removing the wallpaper yesterday and pull out stove and frig and get the paper out from behind them if time permits. Furry kids are going to want to go for a walk and we shall do that later this afternoon. Got to check out my painting supplies to see what I need besides the paint. Think I have enough primer and spackling.

All the snow went west of Michigan into MN and the western U.P. Seems like we have or had somebody on this site who lived in northern MN. Probably got dumped on. Oh, we will get our turn eventually.

Keep thinking how nice it would be to start spending winters down south. Might get to that point in another year or two. My total instincts say to sell this house, but where to from here remains the question and therefore the stopping point. I like this area, would like to stay around here, but nothing for sale that I can afford at the moment and also small enough to downsize in. If I had extra money, I would buy a piece of property and have a small cabin built. Dream on. But I would like to cut expenses. Thought about selling the house and spend some time traveling around but not sure if I want to not have a home base someplace. Decisions, decisions.

Well, off to a bowl of blackberries and whipped cream.

Good morning Sue and all that read this... it is 32 now and the sun is shining so it must have been colder than that... burrrrrrr will only be in the low 50s for high... this is my week to make sure things are all in Bright Hope... then head south where it is a bit warmer...
I will gather things together like my lace, thread, scissors, other less important things but I think I cannot live with out them... like my Bose love that and some other movies that I do not have out there yet... not sure if I will get cable this year it is an extra cost that I do not want... but time will tell...
Sue you are a busy bee that sounds like a lot of work...
Everyone in the cold weather sit down and watch a good movie or read a book... be sure to stay warm...

good morning ladies
coffee is good this morning and a little bowl of oatmeal to stick to the ribs will
get me through to lunch time.
Its no where near warm and nice down here in AZ right now. I ran out of propane :x
I must not have put it on tight or there is something wrong with it cause I just
filled it on Wednesday and the furnace didn't run all that much, only in the early
morning and the last bottle lasted me a whole month just running in the early
morning as well. The little electric space heater is doing just fine to keep my
immediate area warm. Don't think I want to get any more propane. It will be
easier to use the electricity and get a credit for what is left over on the meter
when I'm done.
It finally feels like I'm making headway and that helps me push on. Taking the
girls xpen over to Rons today as I will need it over there. He has "stuff" in the
back yard that I won't want the girls to get hurt on.
Time for another cup of coffee and chow down on my oatmeal. Enjoy your day
and everyone stay safe. Hoping Echo is not froze up up there in the north.

Good morning from wet Whatcom County.

Have a busy day planned today. First breakfast with Kristen at Big Al's ~ a local diner that has great breakfasts. Then off to church where Ron & I will be sharing how the Lord provided for us and worked in our lives while we were with the carnival this past summer. I think I am going to do a blog post on what we share. Then it is off to lunch at Paso Del Norte ~ the local Mexican restaurant. We have known the family owners for over 12 years now. A great family who makes a pretty mean enchilada. Then not sure what we will be doing.

Take care and have a great day.

Morning,
It warmed up during the night here and is near 50 with drizzle. I think today I'll make squash soup.
Chatted with my DD last night. She is in Maui on a layover (flight attendant). Last week she was in Boston and the week before Austin.
Sometimes it's hard to keep up with where she is!
Looking forward to Christmas this year as my DS and his family are going to try driving up from CA. Being in the military things can change quickly, but pray all goes as planned and we can all celebrate together at my DDs house.
Guess that's it from my neck of the woods.
Wishing everyone a great day!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!

Brrrrr, chilly here but it didn't get down to the freezing temp of 32f at least. My high tech cup of water thermometer didn't freeze! Was pretty windy last night and this morning tho. Sitting in the trailer we can hear the leaves rattle around outside, dang they sure can get noisy.

Ava, that really bites about running out of propane way before time!!! But your right the electric heaters do pretty good. We have one that is sitting on the dinette table and a small one down the hall that points to my bedroom. Only use the small one at night when the temps drop. But between the two of them it nice and toasty in here.

Hey Sue? If ya sold the house and did some traveling around wouldn't the 5er be your home base? If you sell the house would that give you enough money to be able to buy a small piece of property? Could do small cabin or set it up to park the 5er??? ;) ideas flitting thru my head. :D

Doing some cleaning here today and gonna finally hook up the water hose. But got to go get some of that foam rubber wrap for it first. Gonna talk to the maintenance man first to see if I also will be needing a heat tape. Other than that we are pretty much open for the day.

Hope everyone has a super fantastic day but remember to stay safe.

Love to all

I'm the one (formerly) from Minnesota. Lived just 30 miles west of Minneapolis. Called my dad tonight and they got a foot of heavy wet snow yesterday, and lots of trees and power lines came down from the weight of the snow. Over 400 accidents and 400 more cars in ditches! I am grateful to be out here in CA with sunshine and 80 degrees!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

He probably wishes he were out there with you Barbie. Watching that mess on the news, I'm glad I'm not there either. Heavy wet snow is no fun. Causes lots of headaches as we can see. Plus when it first snows, people forget how to drive too. That stuff is tricky to drive through as is.

Echo, I don't have a 5er. I just have a little TT. But that idea has gone through my head too, many times. However, I think I would rather have a regular stick house. And some places don't allow TT's to be used as second homes or even permanaent homes unless the area is zoned for it. But it has merit. There is a small log cabin over the other side of the highway from me that I have had my eye on for a few years. If I see a For Sale sign in front of it someday, I'll be right over.

Why wait for a sign? Go ask if they would be interested in selling.

Some friends of mine bought the house they have now that way. And I bought a business that way. My sister and bil sold it the same way. Never hurts to ask!
