WARM MONDAY

GOOD MORNING ALL!

I was kinda hoping to see a morning coffee table set by Barbzee today, but I guess she needs to get settled in better first! I hope the visit to Urgicare yesterday wnet well, and that your hubby just has to keep his ankle raised for a while, allowing you, of course, to do all the unpacking!

It's much warmer out there this morning, and forecast to get really warm as the day progresses. Perhaps it will be a good day to try to get my tire pressure monitors installed. I have the receiver all charged up, so it's just a matter of reading the manual and figuring out how to set it after I get the sensors screwed on the tires. Pete has the same system on his rig, so I know it's possible to do it! If it works, it will be another safety measure for me to know if my tires are losing air on this trip.

Some day this week I will go get my gas tank full, get some groceries to make me a huge batch of Slum Goo to heat and eat during the trip, and a couple of those already-roasted chickens for sandwiches. That's about it, I suppose---until I think of something else that needs to be done around here. It's hard to imagine that I might be coming to the end of my endless lists! I need to check the water level in my batteries, too, and replace the used propane tank with the other full one.

I will finish packing the back of the truck after I get the shopping and getting gas done. There isn't much more to put in there, other than my bike and a few last minute clothes.

I am having nightmares about getting lost and onto back roads I can't get out of. Let's hope those remain just nightmares and not reality!

Hope you all are having a good day whatever your plans may be----whether you will be staying put or heading out onto the busy roads.

Happy Monday to us all!

Yeah, Barbzee, I second what Soos said. Hope it was just a bad sprain.

Clooudy mornng here this morning. Was raining lightly when I got up, but looks like it has since stopped.
Moving late this morning. Rough night last night. All was well when we went to bed except Tessa wasn't happy cause Sparky hogged her favorite spot, so I took care of that. We all settled down and went to sleep till it was doggie wants out time around midnight. All out, all in. Nobody back on bed with wet feet. So I was able to stretch and enjoy a whole bed to myself. Was sleeping like a log when Sparky jumped up on bed around 3 a.m. followed by Tessa and Sassy who both wanted up. Bed's too high for them to jump up. So I hauled everybody in. Guess reason was due to a storm moving through. Funny, I never saw lightenng or anything, but I left my bedroom lamp on for a bi and thought I did see what might have been a flash. Tessa goes berserk when a storm comes through and she did her crawling and panting act for awhile. Even Sparky left cause he got tired of her climbing all over him too. Finally settled down and all went to sleep. None of us stirred before 8 this morning. YAWWWWNNNNNN. Does it sound like I"m having fun here.....

If the weather cooperates this morning, I want to move my mailbox or at least sometime today. Looks like the sun is trying to come out although they say no. Predicted winds are to arrive tomorrow morning along with more rain. Sustained speeds to be 20-30 miles an hour with gusts to 50-60 range until at least Thursday. Might have some heavy rains on Wednesday causing visibililty problems due to the winds along with it. In snow that would be a "whiteout" condition. What do that call it in rain, a "rainout"

Am planning on checking out the new Hobby Lobby craft store that is having Grand Opening today. Later this afternoon. Have a great day.

A few low clouds this morning and looks like the sun will come out later. Was windy most of the day. Park was full, AGAIN, this past weekend and lots of noise going on. Don't those folks know that this is my private park  Guess not as they checked out over 100 yesterday and about 50 came in but are or quieter yesterday. Have had 2 or more row leave already. Oh, well that's the way it goes.

Will head to town to do my laundry, then by Hobby Lobby to see if I can find some little things for my eyeglass neck strap(s) as the little rubber thing has worn thru on a couple of them. I'll look for straps to float my glasses if they fall off while in the water. Taking some stuff to storage and it will be time to come by then. How did I do this when I did this (4 letter word) W O R K and it's tough while I am doing the other 4 letter word (P L A Y).

Need to finish planning Thanksgiving at the beach :!: :!: Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning early birds and sleepy heads... clear after the storm here everything is wet but the sun is shining and there is a nice breeze so things will dry out fast... I have both doors open to change the air inside as it got quite muggy inside last evening... could have been the chatting we were doing...

Shadow and I will feel a bit lonely this afternoon as Peaches and Beth will be on the road heading to Olnay to see the white squirrels and then head east and south to her two month destination... I have so enjoyed the visit... how fun it is meeting people that you only hear their voices in the forum... I will look for them in January at the GTG in Florida... yippie.... :D

Glad your lists are short ones Soos mine are extremely long... but will plod along and finish as I can...

I trust everyone is up and going now and that whatever you do do it with all of your might...

Good morning Ladies!

We are up early this morning (early for us 7:15 instead of 9:00 or so) as we have to get things ready to leave and then hit the road. We are leaving Lewiston and going to Palouse Falls and then onto Crescent Bar TT preserve. Crescent Bar is near Quincy, WA. It will be about a 200 mile day.

It has rained off/on through the night but I see the sun peeking out. It sure was windy here yesterday. We had a good day yesterday ~ went to church then had the grands over for a few hours. Christopher took a nap and then we went swimming. In the evening we were back at their house, did a load of laundry and ate a delicious dinner that Brandon & Danalyn made. It was baked honey ham, green beans, mashed potatoes and a fruit salad. We watched football and visited before calling it a night. It was hard to drive away knowing we won't see them for a couple of months. If all goes well we hope to be back over here for a couple of weeks in early January.

Well Ron is putting stuff away so I had better get off here and get busy myself. Will check in later this evening or tomorrow morning before we head to Leavenworth tomorrow.

Wishing everyone a blessed day!

Oh, if you want to check out our last weekend with the kids and grands use the link below to my blog. I have learned how to load multiple pictures in my blog which is nice and now just need to learn how to get the videos up (know it can be done because I did it once LOL).

I joined the end of August and just want you to know how much I have enjoyed reading your accounts of preparing for your southerly trek. As for where you live, I must tell you it was this time of year 1995 my husband loaded me up in a 18 wheeler for 3 weeks of adventure (for me). We didn't know where we would be sent but first pop was Quebec with me trying to watch for low overpasses  to shorten story our travel up was breathtaking for me through the Adirondacks, back was a different story in a horrible snow storm. You are fortunate to have homes in two wonderful areas of country but I certainly understand wanting to go south now. Now you have just about dotted your i's and crossed your t's and about ready to leave. A little apprehension is understandable also :) :( I don't hear many of the girls talking about staying at WM but this is my favorite. I feel pretty safe just getting in with the other RV'ers. There is usually a security guy driving around too. Since I'm driving a 24' foot mh, I usually park close with the shoppers, go in and walk up and down aisles to stretch my legs, buy a few things of course, then park for the night with the others. I have stayed many nights at truckstops when with my husband and he was amused at how I loved to sleep with a big diesel running on either side  I wouldn't feel confident without 'Rachele', my GPS and a compass.
Just try to enjoy the ride and drive...An adventure is always a mixed bag..don't you think part of the draw is the tiniest bit of fear and our instinctive need to push through it to the sheer joy that comes with the view from your windshield :D Another thought is us lovers of red probably have the lure of adventure running deep in our soul. If I were on your route I would flag you down with a cup of coffee and piece of my famous Flan Cheese Cake 8-) :D

Shadow and I are alone now... washing machine and dishwasher are humming... the manager of the park where I live came up just as the little white car was rounding the bend... he had not seen my beautiful Bright Hope yet so I gave him a tour and he had not seen the faucet my daughter had put in... he had not seen my fireplace that my son in law put in either (shows how long it has been since he made rounds) he is an excellent manager and this park is nice if not great to live in...

Oh ANA your post was so good... please write again soon... I like you am happy to read all the posts... however I do not keep up with all of them...

The sun is playing peak a boo now most likely will be more boo than peek... no word from Barbzzzz yet...
enjoy everyone...

Yep, Mitch found the slum goo recipe----short for slum gullion, I believe, is what my grandmother told me. I use hamburger, beef broth, stew or soup flavorings, and toss in as many veggies and potatoes that my big pot will hold. It's never exactly the same each time I make it, as I like to use the veggies that I can buy fresh when they are in season. But frozen and/or canned veggies work just as well. I like to melt cream cheese over the top of mine, or extra sharp cheddar----both are scrumptious!

This time I will put it into storage containers that will fit into my refrigerator in my trailer, and zap one each night when it's time to eat. That is, if I can figure out how to run my generator in the bed of the pickup with the tailgate partially up so I don't have to unhitch. Otherwise, I will heat it in a pan on the stove.
