TUESDAY AT 19 DEG. F.!

GOOD MORNING ALL!
Do you all have to put your countertop stuff into bins to travel down the road like I have to do? I guess some of you maybe have under-cover spots to stow all that sort of stuff, whereas my lack of storage space for spices, scissors, stereo speakers, etc. makes for always having to stow a lot of stuff in bins. My two kitchen sinks are usually good for what stays around them when we come to a stop, but my computer desk always requires some stowing of sutff, some bungy=ing of storage cabinet drawers, etc.
This is our coldest morning so far this fall as we were standing at 19 degrees F. when I got up. It's only up to 21 now. My woodfire is feeling ever so good!
My friend from CA had her first bout with her chemotherapy and radiation yesterday, so her battle has begun. She was pleasantly surprised to discover that the chemicals didn't cause unbearable burning pain when they opened the port into her veins. She was actually able to read a bit, watch some TV, munch on some good snacks she had brought, walk to the bathroom wheeling her bag-rack, and sleep through part of that long first day infusion. They gave her two major cancer killing meds along with much anti-nausea and saline solution to keep her hydrated and peeing. Our other friend from our group who is staying with her these first several days of treatments said Kathy wanted to drive home, and she did do the driving. So that was good news to hear. I am sure that as the treatments progress, 5 days a week for two solid months, she will get very worn out and will need to be driven to the hospital and back. The best news is that she is apparently NOT allergic to any of the chemicals they opted to use.
Today for me will be more organizing and shuffling of stuff from house to trailer and truck. I decided to wait for my SS check to get deposited tomorrow so I can pay more bills before I head to town to do last minute chores there. I also need to install my tire pressure monitor thingies. I am really hoping that nice sun will warm things up a bit out there!
Coffee is hot and Hazlenut, as per my usual favorite flavor! I hope you will have happy trips down the roads to your wintering-over sites, and I plan to stop by and visit people in FL when I get there and get established enough to begin my FL winter life! Happy Tuesday to all!
