GOOD MORNING ALL!
With fall now officially here, and the days as long/short as the nights, I am getting up later and later and going to bed earlier and earlier! I love being able to go by the sunshine schedule. Night sleeps up here in the north country are very long, very cold, and sort of like hibernating! I am hoping to avoid this type of nights this year, if I get out of here and head to FL!
I am very glad that a storm went south of us last night, and we were able to see that wonderful, full harvest moon! Molly and I stayed outside for quite a while before we entered the trailer for the night. We didn't need any heat last night, either.
Today will be the day I tackle the cellar with the shop vac, as I was able to get a new bag/filter for it yesterday. I would like to have that chore done for when the alarm system guy comes tomorrow morning. I will also organize as I vacuum today. ACK!
I also found a good buy on a large cyclonic ceramic electric heater for the cellar to keep pipes from freezing this winter. WOW----what a lot of hot air that puts out with its fan! It is thermostatically controlled, has a remote (which, of course, won't be needed for this use) but which would be fantastic for my trailer! When it gets really cold again out there, I intend to give it a tryout! It's very quiet on the low fan setting, too, unlike my trailer furnace which is like sleeping under a jet runway when it is operating! It's a Lasko brand, for anyone interested in looking at it.
If it warms up later, and it should as the sun is out and bright today, I'll finish emptying the leanto and readying it for the winter. In between and all around I carry stuff from the shelter to the barn, and firewood from the pile into my log rack in here.
No more lollygagging around this coffee-----time to get moving! Oh yes, I also have a mouse to release that my trailer live trap caught last night. No mice in traps in the house today.
Hope you all have a wonderful first day of fall! The colors are getting photographicable now, and I will take some today to post tomorrow.
