GOOD MORNING ALL!
It's really cold out there at 27 degrees this morning, but the sun is coming up and burning off the low-hanging fog and clouds over my back field. My electric heater is keeping Molly and me semi-warm in here! The phone rang bright and early, before dawn, and I nestled down farther into my sleeping bag and just let 'er ring! There's a message on my machine that I'll listen to when I get inside, but I know it was a call to sub at one of the schools. I have too much to do today to leap out of bed and head off. I will call the school offices and let them know not to call me unless they know the night before about jobs. I REALLY hate being called at the last minute. The oe job I have lined up I have known about for weeks now, and that's the way I like it! Can you guess how much I miss getting out of bed in the middle of the night to head off to work?!! NOT!!!!
I will call the alarm system guy today, and the bank to inquire about safe-deposit boxes. Then I will begin to tackle the cellar with my shop vac to make it a bit better for the guy when he looks at what he will need to install for me. My daughter will come here the first week in October to help move heavy stuff around, like getting the paddleboat out of the pond and covered for the winter. So much to do, and so little time is becoming more the mantra every year I live. I am wondering if Kellie and the wonder dog will be showing up today, or if she is moving on. I forgot to tell her she could haul up here and camp right here in my yard! I hope you read this, Kellie, and I hope to see you today!
Coffee is hot, so stop in and check in and tell us about your day! Happy Monday!

Good Morning Soos and All.... Finally I'm able to sit at the puter and make some sense of what is happening... well sort of.. It's so nice to be able to just sit down and not see strange pages ..flashing colors and then the "Blue Screen"... Yes, I saw my existence pass before me.. all my wonderful goodies that I had saved... float on by.. now I did back up several days prior to all this happening.. and Thank Goodness for that.. it's now slowly putting things in place and enjoying my conversations with "DELL" and "how Delhi is "... Yes, I've explored the regions of New Delhi.. and then some.. HA !
Have enjoyed doing some catching up on all you "Sistah's" all the great adventures and fun.. only to wish I was with you all ... Oh, and I've checked out the recipe boards to see if any of you passed some of that good stuff along.. Yep, Marslet.. I saw your Cornbread Salad... might have known ya done that one
Well, now I'm on to the next phase of getting it all up and ready.. I'll have my last visit to Docs this week and then it's waiting on my Mabeline to be finished.. pack up and GET OUT OF TOWN....heading due south and really anxious too..
Mitch and Vickie, you gals put on a great GTG...have been enjoying those pictures...I hope I can make the next one.. betcha you'll have a bigger crowd too...
Ok, it's time for me to hit (not really) the streets...and get some chores done..
God Bless... Safe Adventures

Good Morning... yikes it will be summer again for a few days it is 63 now will be 86 later and 92 tomorrow.... well it will cool down by the weekend...
The neighbors dog woke me up this morning before 7... tried to go back to sleep but no such luck... by then Shadow wanted out so fixed coffee and came in to see what has been happening in the forum... I hope the down time has past for those that went to the GTG and now you can mellow out and enjoy the memories... from the pictures posted you all had a spectacular time...
Today will be slower than slow for me... I do have to go pull the plug on the water heater in the MH and drain the water tank so Mark can winterize my MH... I never did make a reservation for the county park so this summer has been a bust... did not go all summer... next year will be better... For some unknown reason I am not real excited about FL this year... maybe after I get all of the things done that I need to before I go that will help... I plan on even shutting down the frig in here as I want my electric and gas to be very low while I am gone... last year even with the furnace set on 50 my bill was not much lower than if I had been here... guess the cold was the reason...
I hope all you hardy souls on the road will take care and those of us at home will also...
Kathleen

Zeee, you have more patience than I do. The last time I called Dell for help will truly be the last time I ever call Dell. This is the 3rd dell computer we have had and I paid for in-home repair when I bought it. I called because I couldn't get online and got someone I could hardly understand and he wanted me to take the modem out in my bedroom floor. Not happening. When I bought my laptop I got it from a local guy because I have know him since he was in High School and I know where to find him. And he speaks English. I guess I was spoiled when I was working. We had a great computer system and department and if I had a problem they would get in high and fix it.
Kathleen, I don't know if you have an electric or gas water heater but around here it costs about $50 a month to run an electric water heater. My son has a trailer that is seldom used and when he's gone I turn off the water heater. If you are going to be gone all winter it would probably be a good idea to turn off the water if you can in case something would break.

Good Morning...
Been crazy the last couple of weeks, trying to get back into the fall routine and school. There are so many adjustments when all the older ones head off to school. They are gone all day and I miss them for several reasons. One is the when they are all there...it only takes about 30 mins each morning to get all the household chores done for the day. Now it takes DS and I about 1 1/2 hours to get it all done. I can say I am going to be researching more crock pot meals..the couple days I did crock pot meals it was so nice to have dinner started in the morning and out of the way and not have to worry about doing it later. DS has football from 5:30-7:30 (i think they are change it to 5:00-7:00 due to days getting shorter ..that is right smack dab in the dinner hour...so it would be nice to have meals for that night, that can be ready..and stay warm as we end up with some having dinner shifts..as those that are home will eat at 5:30, DS 1 gets home from work about 6:30 and then DH and youngest DS get home about 7:30-8:00ish.
Everything else is going well. We will be taking the trailer in to get repaired and winterized. Well I need to get going I will check in later.

Thank you for trying to help Martha, but mine is gas, I drain the system and because there is no bi pass when Mark puts the anti freeze into the system the water heater fills up with anti freeze... that has been ok for the years I have had the MH...

I wasn't clear about what I was talking about. When I said my son's trailer, I meant mobile home. I was talking about turning the water heater off in a house.

Ok Martha got it now... I live in a mobile home also... we shut the water supply to the home off and turn the water heater off then before I get home my daughter comes and turns everything back on and has Mark turn on the water... gets a bit confusing between Mobile and motor ... we also open all the faucets so if the heat tape fails there is some room for expansion... it is always good to give ideas even if the person has done things before one never knows... thanks again...
