FROSTY SATURDAY

GOOD FROSTY MORNING TO ALL!

We have frost all over the yard this morning----crispy grass, and all. It got down to about 29 last night, according to my max/min thermometer. The wood fire in here feels really good! It was comfy in the trailer, too, with just a low setting on my oil-filled electric heater. I am glad I drained my water system in there yesterday afternoon, and put antifreeze in the traps. It seems very early for my having to do this, but oh well.

Today I will make a dump run, then get stuff from the leanto and make that place winter-proof as possible. I so regret not getting that outhouse fixed this summer, and not getting a new roof on the leanto. Maybe there will still be some warm days for the roof chore. I need to bring in some wood for my stove up here---a chore I will NOT miss in the dead of the winter this year!

Coffee is hot---hazlenut with vanilla creamer----and my hot mug feels good on my hands. Stop in and let us know what's going on in your world. I especially would love to hear about the GTG in Branson! Pete, Bob, Beth, and perhaps some others of us from ORS are there this weekend. Happy Saturday to everyone!

Chilly here this morning! Got my space heater going! Now just waiting for that guy to show up again for my bedroom set (this time I will not miss him!).

I am starting to get really nervous about moving! It is finally hitting me that I am up and moving across the country to a whole new, fairly unfamiliar place! I hope I don't get too homesick when I get out there! But I am really excited about starting a new adventure and exploring southern California. I sure hope Linda finds a place to work and stay out there for the winter so I won't be all by myself! It always helps to have a friend around to keep from getting lonely.

Very tired today. Stayed up late watching movies at Steve's last night. Didn't sleep well after that. Had some strange dreams! But have a ton of things on my list of things to do today so no time for naps!

Have a good one!

I knew there was a reason I decided to head east with Carol instead of going diamond hunting. She's having brake (I think) problems again. We stopped yesterday afternoon at the AR Welcome Center and her back tires were smoking. Ended up boondocking there over night. (Which is permissible, by the way...for future reference). Had it looked at this morning but man was not able to help, so are now at a shop south of Memphis near I-55. I'll follow her until I know she can make it home safely Or, follow her home, if necessary.

Yesterday we stopped at the Louisiana Purchase State Park. Very interesting...will post later on my blog.

Hope the Branson shows are great, and lots of diamonds being found.

Ouch, I hope Carole doesn't have more problems! She doesn't need them, that's for sure.

4 of our group went to a show today. Tina, Karen and I headed down to the "strip" and purchased tickets for the shows as needed for everyone that we didn't get on the phone. We are set. Then we went to another area to visit, and to an overlook. Oh, stopped for lunch at a Japanese restaurant and forgot to get pics there, my bad. Anyway - going to try to get my blog up-to-date from the get together, then will be able to get Branson going on there. I let myself get behind, so now have to play catch up!
