GOOD MORNING TO ALL!
I imagine those rabble-rousing GTGers are still asleep! It sounds as if a wonderful time is being had by all! It puts my GTGs to shame when I see all the preps and gifts and goodies and whatnot that you all are getting down there! I guess my Ruckus is just that----a country Ruckus with no fancies! I may have to rethink for next year when we will celebrate my retirement!
The sun is up here today, it's warming up nicely from a low of 40 degrees last night, and I guess Kathy and I will visit the Tupper Lake Museum today, perhaps, when we get moving.
Coffee is hot, so stop in and tell us about your plans, trials, tribulations, joys, celebrations----you name it! We love to hear about them all. I am going to get going here now, as I slept way too late this morning----even missed the deer at the apple tree.
Happy Wednesday----SS Day, for me!!! YIPPEE!!!

I have a tribulation this morning, I am NOT posting from the GTG
For the first time in almost three years of doing yoga I injured myself. I pulled a muscle in my back and developed a stiff neck from a pose I did last Saturday. Thinking I could make it, I packed my car and headed out yesterday morning but about 100 miles down the road realized the pain was just more than I'd be able to handle for another 300 miles,so I headed back.It took me a long time to get home with all the stops I had to make to get out and walk around to try and stop the muscle spasms. I don't do well with pain meds, 3 baby aspirin is about my max so thankfully I was able to get a massage appointment at noon today.

I hope the massage helps, BJ, and you will be feeling better this afternoon. I was really looking forward to finally meeting you, and am as sorry as you are that you couldn't make it. But, I know about pain too, so can understand the need to turn around. we'll meet at some other gtg or mini-gtg sometime.
Today, some of the group is planning an excursion to Hot Springs. They may have already left. I got up late
since I was awake during the night and posted pictures instead of wasting time tossing and turning. Roe has had a short walk. Roe and Bandit are sitting outside enjoying a pretty morning while I enjoy a leisurely breakfast and read the forum. Then I think there'll be another kayak trip around the lake.
Enjoy your day!

BJ, that is too bad you couldn't get to the GTG! But driving in pain is miserable! I have been having some pain in my bad (right) knee the past few days so have been wearing a knee brace. Can't have that bothering me when I start driving to CA!
Got an e-mail from Linda last night. Her job at Joshua Tree National Park fell thru. So now she is scrambling to find another place to park her rig out there for the winter. Hopefully, she will find something even better that pays her, in addition to her site. Cross your fingers for her!
I still have tons to do yet! Only 2 weeks left before I head to Des Moines (via Rock Island, IL to visit some cousins). I think the Goodwill is going to get a couple of carloads of stuff this weekend!
Better get going here. Got a few things to do before I head off to work. Would like to go back to bed for a couple hours tho!
Oh, I almost forgot! I finally set up my new blog last night! It is: weaselwardancer.blogspot.com

Good Morning... we will be in the mid 80s today and tomorrow will be 72... I will like tomorrow better than today...
So sorry BJ... I know you were looking forward to going to the GTG... better to be in your own bed when you are in pain...
Oh Liz and Tina thanks for the great pictures... looks like a perfect place to hold a GTG... Soos from all I have heard your GTG is very unique... don't change a thing... each one puts their own touch on a GTG it would get pretty boring if they were all the same...
Shadow rolled in something and he smells very bad... so guess what I will have to do today... I need to take him someplace and get his nails cut... he no longer lets me do it...
Enjoy the dog days of summer everyone...
Kathleen

Oh gosh.
I am so sorry to hear about your injury and not able to make it to the GTG.
I know you were looking forward to it. I know that feeling, too! I pray you have a speedy recovery. Keep us posted on your recovery.
Edit to add: BJ, I had to cancel my first planned RV trip because I had pulled a muscle in my back securing the chair in the RV. I was homebound about 2 weeks or so.

good morning ladies, its is still morning here, at least for another hour.
Sitting around the coffee lounge at work just kicking back. Although I'm a little
tired and could really use a nap, I missed a couple hourse of sleep when I was
awakened in the night last night. My poor Pixie was having a seizure, a bad
one this time. I've got painful scratches on the back of my leg from her
thrashing as I woke up and realized what was happening. Poor girl, took a
good 20 minutes to just calm down and then she threw up. Later when she
could walk around she crawled into the dog bed on the floor and stayed there
till I got her up this morning for breakfast. She only nibbled at it and then
went back to bed. I'm hoping she is ok but won't know until I get home
from work. Its only the third one she's had since I got her (couple years ago)
and vet says they are idiopathic and that they would only put her on meds
if it happened several times a week. So for now its just a heart wrenching
sight when we go through this.
Although our weather is hot again in the day, it cools off at night so its getting
comfortable and bearable.
I can see you girls are having a great time at the get together and I dream of
the day I can join you all. Have a fun day and be safe

Ava, I know just what you are going thru! It was awful to watch Buster going thru his seizures! He would get so sick afterward and would wimper, which just broke my heart, since there was nothing I could do for him but just be there for him and reassure him.
I hope Pixie will be alright for awhile now.
