MONDAY WITH SOME CLOUDS

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

MONDAY WITH SOME CLOUDS

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Cloudy morning again today, but nice and warm out there at 52 degrees. Kathy is still asleep, so I'm wondering if she got up in the night for a while, as we both went to bed at about 9:00 after a TV show about the origin of dogs----very interesting show. Molly and I slept in the trailer, and didn't need any heat at all---in fact, I opened the window by my bed. I think we may have slept beyond the arrival of the deer today, however, as they come for apples earlier than this.

Yesterday, I took Kathy for a whirlwind tour of the roads over the shoulder of Whiteface, along the Eastern Branch of the Ausable River, through Lake Placid, had lunch at Pizza Hut, back to visit Issy for a while, and then back here for some of my home-made chili. I took my new GPS SPOT toy, named Yodie, with us, and it tracked us on our journey! could get online afterwards, follow the link it emailed me to Google maps, and see just where we had gone in the car! I love that gadget! I need to get the kids to make sure the email address it sends via is on their 'accept' list for their email, so they can get all the messages and links to follow. I think it sends text messages as well, but I can't check those as I have no cell service here and, furthermore, I have no idea if I have text service or not.

I don't know what's in store for us today, but Issy gave us some money-off tickets for the Wild Center Museum in Tupper Lake that we can visit somethime this week. Kathy can't walk very far, due to back/sciata problems, so we will need a day when we don't have to run through the rain. Today is pretty nice, so far.

Coffee is hot, so stop in and tell us about your plans----I know many are on the roads and off to new adventures, so be very careful out there. I had a scary dream last night, about driving a small motor home I had, trying to find a campground I had the directions to. My son, who was in the back of it, said, "Mom, why don't you take that curtain down from the front windshield so you can see where you are going!" I suddenly realized I had the entire windshield blocked out, and then wondered how I had been driving at all! I suppose that means I feel as if I drive blindly most of the time!

Happy Monday!

Funny dream, Soos, but perhaps a scary one too. Glad you are having a good time with your friend.

Roe and I are up, had coffee and breakfast. After one last cup of coffee for me and a run through the forum, we'll be off to do one of the hiking trails here before it gets too hot.

Today is moving day for Carol and me. We'll move from our temporary weekend sites in Section B over to our reserved GTG sites in section A, where all the other GTG Rvs are. We'll also make a run to a grocery store (down off the mountain into town) for some last minute stuff. We are expecting Carolyn & Carold to arrive today, BJ tomorrow. We already have a large gathering.

I'm looking forward to dropping off my kayak near Mitch's site by the lake and getting in it later today.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning... my body does not want to get going at all today... it is 65 now but will be 85 late... think fall left and pushed us back to summer... Soos and Liz you are early birds... :) it didn't take me long after I retired two almost three now years ago to learn to sleep late.... my eyes and fingers will not cooperate it is taking far to long to write a few words...
Hope all of the ladies at the GTG (huge one I might add) are up and starting their day... WOW.... those pictures are nice...
I made my reservations for FL yesterday will not be driving my MH this year but will stay in a one bedroom unit where I was last year at Sportsman's Cove in McIntosh...
Drive safe those on the road and the rest of us will enjoy our day also...
