GOOD MORNING TO ALL!
The story of that little premature baby, born 3 months early to the Australian couple and pronounced dead, was just on the NBC Morning News, and it has me in awe and weeping. It makes me wonder how many other little newborns might be kept alive by handing them right to their moms rather than putting them in incubators right off the bat. What a true miracle for those parents and that child...or could it happen more often, given the chance? I will be anxious to see if any brain damage occurred. Apparently he can see and hear just fine, so that is a good sign. It must be that there was breathing so soft and low,and a heartbeat not perceptible to the doc, that allowed the strength to return to the baby. Whatever it was, it is a wonderful thing to behold.
It's 60 degrees here this morning, and the sun is coming up into a clear sky. The coast of the eastern seaboard is experiencing some wild winds and rains from Earl this morning, and I hope, if any of you were near there, that you found safety. I am starting the day with the lowest blood pressure I can ever remember taking, and I am a happy camper! I began taking the higher dose of meds last night, and have no bad side effects and only good results.
Now, I have to work on my TRAILER refrigerator, as I found frozen things in there again this morning. The thought of having to unhook, stow all my stuff, hitch up, and haul to the dealers a good 40 miles away does not make me happy. But I suspect that will have to happen. Sigh.
I will probably work some more on painting and staining my house, and maybe go back to the pond this afternoon. I have some apples I picked from this old, wild apple tree that I could make some apple crisp with, and I might do that, too.
My huge chest freezer down in the cellar needs to be cleaned out and defrosted and restocked, but that will be tomorrow when the dump is open. Heaven only knows what lurks in the layers of old food in that thing!
Coffee is hot, so stop in and let us know what's going on with you and yours. I hope you all have a happy Friday!
