RABBITS!!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

RABBITS!!

GOOD MORNING TO US ALL!

I shouted RABBITS when I got up in the night at the pond and discovered it was about 2:00 am! All the critters anywhere nearby must have startled, as did Molly, who jumped out of my bed and looked all around for the danged bunnies!

Another fine cool night at the pond, and then an early-morning drive back here to check my new Tin Cat live mouse traps. No mouse in this trailer one, but haven't checked in the house as yet.

67 degrees already out there at 8:00, and the sun is rising from behind the trees. Molly and I have had a pretty doe visiting the old apple tree this morning, as well as several bunnies all over the yard, munching on grass and clover. All in all, a very pretty morning.

Today is the first day of school for the teachers----those dreaded first-day meetings and assemblies, and then some time to get your room, or working areas, in shape for the kids who will come next Tuesday. A friend of mine from down the road called me last evening, and realized she wouldn't have to save a seat for me in the auditorium tomorrow (today)! That was an eye opener that I guess I am really retired!

I managed to paint my front door and the frame around it yesterday, as well as my front screen door----all in the house. I also went to town to get some painting supplies and a few groceries. I also got three fine-tuner thingies for my fiddle, to make it easier to keep it in tune. I will install those this morning and try out my new tuner device as well. Then there will be NO reason for me to not practice and learn how to play the danged thing!

Then I found two more Tin Cat live mouse traps, which allow me to catch more than one mouse at a time, which is all the Havaharts allow.

I guess I will attempt to paint the siding on the side of the house I can reach without a ladder, or with just a step ladder. After that, who knows what chore I will tackle! I have a doc appointment this afternoon to update the info and meds on my blood pressure. It's been very good for me this past week, but still not low enough for him, I know, so I will probably begin the stronger dose of the same med this evening after I leave him.

My refrigerator is still not cycling on and off to keep my food from freezing, so I need to call my RV dealer today, too, and set up an appointment to get that problem fixed before I head south next month. I tested this thermometer in my inside refrigerator and discovered it does read low to begin with, so should not worry when it reads 20 as that must still be above 32. But when it gets down to 10, that's when things begin to freeze. And freeze they do if I don't turn the thing off to allow it to warm up a bit. So I will empty it today and leave it off after one more try at letting it run. Sigh----It's so bothersome when things malfunction, eh? Especially when it's something I guess I can't fix on my own.

Coffee is ready and tastes good, as usual. I hope you all are having a good day, wherever you are. Those of you on the east coast, keep an eye to the skies and batten down your hatches, if necessary. It seems as if Earl is staying closer to the coast than they had thought. Happy Wednesday!

Got alot done yesterday with sorting and packing but still a long way to go to be ready for my moving sale on Sat and Sun. Went thru all my books again last night and was very good about letting a lot more of them go. What I don't sell will go to the library for their fall sale.

It is cooling off again around here. The highs here for the next 5 days are only going to be in the low 70's and high 60's, so a big change from what it has been! Had the windows open over night and had a nice cool breeze coming in which was very nice! Even remembered to say 'rabbits' this morning!

Hope you all have a great day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

good morning soos and barb and all who are up and about... it is 68 this morning... we had rain in the night and will get more today with a high of maybe 82... guess that makes things like a steam bath...

things are going good with my shoulder not near as painful and I will try some of the exercises that do not take a lot of motion.... then the rest on Friday...

I have clothes to fold and will change my bed today... I did the bed spread yesterday... I will also go and pay my lot rent seems like I just paid it...

oh barb I got rid of my books all but one shelf at the garage sale... very few sold so now the library is the proud owner of many boxes filled full... I have a few that I kept but that is but maybe one shelf full...

Liz hope the parts for your MH come in today... everyone have a good day and safe travels to all who are on the road...
