WETTER MONDAY!

GOOD MORNING ALL!
I remember the day our music died, back in Feb. of 1959, and we sure did lose three wonderful musicians back then. It was a very sad time.....the first time for me that I can remember losing someone famous whom I loved. "All I want is a Party Doll" still can bring back some very poignant memories, including my mother's wondering why on earth I liked that particular song----I guess she was afraid I was wanting to be a 'party doll' although those words didn't mean to me what they meant to her, I suppose!
I was sorry to miss the bluegrass festival, Carol, but I really had to get to the doc and have it out with him. I will call again today and make sure he changed my prescription to the lesser of the two doses of that new medication, and this time I will try it during the daytime when I can keep track of what it does to me. I suppose, if it lowers my BP to where it should be, I will go with it. Although the past two days it has been very acceptable for me. It would be fun to have you at the musics fests next year!
We had a very noisy and wild night of very heavy rains, heavy winds, and this trailer was a rockin' and a rollin'! So far today it's raining softly now, and the winds have abated. More thunderstorms have skirted us, for which Molly and I are very thankful!
In the rain yesterday, I managed to go through just one bureau/dressing table of the set in my upstairs bedroom. I found so many lost/saved treasures that I got all wrapped up in going through them all! I even found a set of baby clothes that my mother had saved that had been mine as a newborn. Also found 3 years worth of old yearbooks from high school which brought back many happy memories as well as sad ones to realize that some of my friends from back then who had signed it are no longer alive.
I talked to my son who had received thier first electric bill after living in their new house for 34 days now, and, although he held his breath when he opened it, he was pleasantly shocked to see that, although the temperatures haven't been below 100+ degrees for the entire month, they owe only 110.00 dollars! That's a huge savings from the old house, which is way smaller but has a way older AC unit in it. He said they have been very comfortable inside in this hot spell, so they are both ecstatic about that bill. I guess when I move down to the old house, I will need to upgrade that AC unit which is over 30 years old now. Electricity is their only utility bill now, as there is no natural gas in that area and their garbage pickup and taxes and insurance are figured into their mortgage payments. They both breathed a huge sigh of relief when they discovered they can well afford it! They also got a Verizon internet card for their computer service, thanks to the advice of you all, and are finding out how much (time/band space/whatever) they will use of that before they send me any updated pics of the new house. Melissa gets a 10% discount for the card as a public employee for Orlando, so they pay a total of 60.00 permonth, taxes and fees included. They think they really need unlimited service, but Verizon said no way to that. Hopefully, they will discover they will have more than enough to use it as they need to or want to. I know they don't download any movies.
I guess I will go back to the upstairs bedroom, after I go to Kinney's to get my new prescription filled, and start going through the next bureau up there. I know there are clothes in that one I haven't worn in years! I also need to call that storage unit company to inquire about prices for such a service.
How about those little warning icons that flash up on your dashboard about your car! I have never seen the low tire one on this new truck, but I know the 'door ajar' icon looks like a penguin to me! I am wondering who designs those little thingies!
It's late, as I wanted to sleep through the torrential rains, and, of course, avoid any house work and sorting through 'stuff'!! I hope we all have a great Monday.
