GOOD MORNING TO US ALL!

This has been a great week hearing from some members who have been absent for a while----I love it that you posted some updates so that we know all is well with you. I do know that it takes some time to type even a few lines, but the network of us campers across the entire country is awesome. Just give us a HELLO now and then! Now that the possibility of my being on the roads is a reality, I will want to keep track of who is where so I can visit now and then.

It's much warmer than yesterday morning here, and raining softly after some real good soaking downpours last night. Luckily for Molly and me, the thunderstorms skirted us again, but they did give us some needed rains. Today will be a day of working inside.

I saw a wonderful, large outdoor storage bin on someone's property yesterday on my way to the dump, took down the name of the company and the phone number printed on the outside of it, so tomorrow I will call and ask about getting such a unit delivered----how much it would cost per month to have this option to clear out some of my 'stuff' from the house, making it more user-friendly to anyone wanting to stay there! Then I could gradually go over the 'stuff' each year, weeding out slowly the things I have no need for. I think that the 'stuff' I really don't want, that can be dumped, can be hauled there in the utility trailer that belongs to the kids' grandmother. Perhaps about two loads should do it. The other things I can get appraised to know their worth, and then sell the stuff no one wants to use.

I have decided to go with the local house security system, rather than ADT, as the cost per month of monitoring is about half. (About 20.00 per month) I would need to buy the equipment, and pay to have it installed, but then I would own it all, and have no contracts to honor for 3 years like ADT requires. ADT would install the equipment for free, but then I would need to sign their contract. This local guy made the point that if I choose to not monitor my house for certain months, I could call and opt out until I need the service again. He sounded very intelligent, was very up front with his costs, and I just wish he could do the same for my house in FL as well! (It will cost about 1200.00 dollars for the installation and equipment. For me, the peace of mind it will provide me is well worth it.)

Last night, after Molly and I went for our walk again, my BP was lower than it's been in a long while----actually in the 120s over the 70s! My pulse was normal, about 68, rather than corpse-low, so I went to bed feeling rather good. And I still haven't taken any of that new drug. Hmmmmmm......we shall see what the future will be. Less anxiety will be a huge factor, I am sure, as my mental states have a direct bearing on my circulatory system. Luckily, I won't be able to monitor it as I am hauling my trailer through a large city, or over a steep mountain!

Hope we hear from more of you today as you go about your busy lives. Coffee is hot now, Hazlenut flavored, and there are still two pistachio muffins sitting here, staring me in the face! Stop by and tell us about your lives!

Good Morning Soos and everyone else that is alive and kicking... the sun is out with 70 temp heading for 87...

The garage sale is history... my son in law took all that was left except the electronics to Homes of Hope an organization here that helps people get started after various things have happened or they are just starting out... Margie and I took the boxes and boxes of books to the Library they will use them also the talking books there were so many of them but I do not have a cassette player anymore... also all of the vhs movies there were boxes of them also... yes it is history but there is a huge part of my life gone but not forgotten... I have talked for a couple of years how I was going through things... well my daughter Jackie helped me do it in a little more than two weeks... all of you that have done this purging know how much it takes out of you... but the end result is a new clean environment...

I am getting ready for church then will do some laundry as it needs to be done...

My arm lasted through exercises this morning but it is bad... I put ice on it last night... that did calm it down some... physical therapy tomorrow...

It looks like a day that I can spend a bit of time on the deck admiring the yard and giving Shadow a time with his owner... poor dog has been cooped up so much these past days...

Have a safe day all you travelers and those of us that are home enjoy your home...
Kathleen

ts late I know, but I have a question. WHERE IS EVERYONE?, NOT HERE, SO DO HOPE YOU'RE HAVING SO MUCH FUN YOU HAVE NO TIME FOR MORNING COFFEE. OK OK, i KNOW, i AM IN THIS BUNCH, i'M NOT REALLY HAVING FUN, AM WAITING AROUND ROBBINSVILLE, N.C. FOR THE FINISH JOB ON MY BRAKES. HAVING IT ALL DONE, BUT HAD TO WAIT FOR THE BRAKE LINES. THIS IS MOUNTAINOUS COUNTRY AND I DON'T WANT TO DO MUCH DRIVING WITH OUT THE NEW LINES IN. MECHANIC, SAID IT WOULD BE OK, BUT, !!!! hE'D COME GET ME IF I HAD TROUBLE, WE FOUND A NICE NAT'L FOREST PARK, SET UP TO FAR FROM THE WATER THOUGH, SO BOTH LIZ AND I, ARE DISAPPOINTED IN THAT. SHE DECIDED TO STAY WITH ME, UNTIL TUESDAY MORN. WHEN I WILL GO BACK TO SHOP AND SHE WILL PROBABLY HEAD OUT. i WAS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW I DROVE MY RIG ON THE CHEROHALA SKYWAY, I HAVE DRIVEN THE ROCKIES, WELL, THE MECHANIC SAID IT WAS MY CALIPERS (MISP), PROBABLY NOT MY DRIVING, SO THAT MADE ME FEEL BETTER, AS I HAD BEEN KICKING MY BUTT ALL OVER THE PLACE, THINKING SOMEHOW I HAD DONE SOMETHING WRONG. THEY WERE OLD AND GOT TO HOT, IT WAS A SWELTERING DAY OF COURSE, TOO.

TOMORROW, WE ARE OFF FOR AN ADVENTURE, LIZ, HAS FOUND SEVERAL PLACES OF INTEREST, SO YOU'LL HAVE TO TUNE IN TOMORROW TO SEE WHERE WE'VE BEEN AND WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TOO.

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE HAD A GREAT DAY AND THAT YOU WILL TOMORROW TOO,
CArolT
OH ! MIGHT AS WELL ADD THAT MY A/C HAS DECIDED TO TAKE A BREAK TOO, QUIT YESTERDAY EVENING, AND IT WAS WARMISH HERE HA,HA. SO ANOTHER STOP AT MY R.V. GUYS TO SEE THE VERDICT ON THAT. CROSS SOME FINGERS AND TOES OUT THERE, PLEASE, THANKS !!!!!! i THINK I AM GLAD THIS IS ALL HAPPENING NOW.

Oh, Carol, owiee. I'm glad you're waiting and getting the entire brakes fixed right. How dare the ac quit, too? At least it should be somewhat cooler there at night - and if not cool enough, Liz has a 2nd bed. :)

Happy to learn you are getting an entire brake job, Carol! I don't want you and Maggie to have to use those truck escape routes to stop each time you head home!

I don't imagine an AC failure repair will be a quicky job either, eh? Not to mention the expense of it! I will not want to be somewhere that I will HAVE to have AC in order to live without roasting. I would rather be somewhere freezing as I could wrap up in stuff to stay warm. There is only so much to take off in order to try to cool off! Sigh----all things to consider as I head out into my new life.

Keep in touch, and let us know when you are safely home!

I agree, Soos, I would not want to use one of those truck places either, besides they are never where you need them.

But what happens to me or anyone, doesn't ever mean you will have those problems, you'll have your own. Have a good road service , and enjoy each trip, when something happen, then put your brain to work as to how to take care of it. Until then don't sweat the small stuff, as the saying goes. Life is to short.

My brain isn't to the AC problem yet, have to finish the brakes first. :) I will go home to my r.v. guy and see what he says about it. Went yesterday and bought a large fan, which helps some. Praying for cooler weather in Ark, with or without AC. I had planned to head west way before I needed to and visit along the way, so don't have much time, for repairs , or I would travel on up with Liz some of the Blue Ridge. Think it is cooler up there.

Thanks for sympathy on my problem Tina , Beth, and Soos. Really going to take more then this to keep me from the GTG. :) As long as the rig goes, and now I can stop it, Maggie and I, will be there  :D

You just get there, Carol, we know "somebody" who likes to lay in the road and you can use her to stop your rv!
