Saturday & It's Raining Frogs

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday & It's Raining Frogs

Postby Redetotry » Sat Aug 14, 2010 8:22 am

When I walked out the front door this morning a tiny frog landed on my arm. Not sure where he came from but felt as though he fell from the sky. We had another lovely rain around four this morning and at the first thunder boomer Winnie was pawing on the side of the bed wanting up. I'm not sure if she is really that afraid or if she's figured out it's a good trick. Too bad the rain couldn't last a couple of days but I'm grateful for what we did get. The heat is supposed to be with us until sometime tomorrow so probably not much on my dance card this morning, but maybe the clouds will stay around long enough for me to go to yoga class.
I was up by six, sure wish I could sleep longer. I envy those of you who can sleep late.
Coffee is hot, blueberry pancakes on the griddle, stop by for a visit.

Good Morning ladies
blueberry pancakes sure sound good, yum yum
lots of chores for me today, laundry, house cleaning and have already trimmed up on the oleanders.
Suppose to be a record breaking temps today so trying to get things done before it gets too hot.
Enjoy your day and be safe.

Morning, BJ and everyone else.
Quiet morning at the table. I can share a bowl of oatmeal and some fruit.
Today I'm getting all the last minute stuff done and then later will drive up to me DDs to spend the night so we can leave early in the AM for my son's in CA.
They are trailering their motorcycles down to go riding with my son around the Napa Valley. Kind of ominous as I just got a text from my sister in Illinois that my brother-in-law's brother was killed yesterday on his motorcycle. This is also the same brother-in-law that was married to my sister that just passed away in May, so that family is getting hit hard. What's almost ironic is the oldest brother became a grandpa to twins yesterday also.
We are getting hit with excessive heat for the next 4 days and then back to normal temps in the 80s. July and Aug we never expect any rain and so far it's lived up to that, but come next month we'll start and it will keep up until next Spring, so we don't grumble too much.
Blessings to you all today!

Good morning everyone! Weather is nice here right now, but will be quite a bit warmer later. No worries tho, I'm headed over to the BF's since we have a HOG meeting tomorrow morning and he has a pool...so guess where I'll be spending my afternoon? LOL! Going to make up a recipe called Bean Pot and throw it in the crockpot for dinner tonite, that and a pan of cornbread plus a really yummy cantalope I got at the farmers market yesterday. Zumba class this morning before I go, tho. Not much else doing around here in this part of the country. Pretty boring in fact, so I'm really anxious to get on the road. Sure hope the weather is better than last year!

Frogs falling out of the sky, BJ? That's a first! Hope it cools off for you.

Ava, I heard on the news that you were really getting hit with the temps this summer, hope it cools a bit for you, too.

I'm not used to early mornings. Looked at this thread a bit ago and it only had one post - and I was thinking - geez, everyone waiting till bedtime to post to the morning thread? Well, here it is an hour later and not noon here - could have fooled me lol

Love the raining frogs image in my head.

Really enjoying having Liz to kayak with - even tho we often go our own ways out there. We did that hiking, sometimes, too. We know the other person is there and we keep our eyes out for each other - make sure we both get back safely.

Hope for good weather for tonight for us - we have plans!!!!

Sharon, I'd like your beanpot recipe - sounds good - would love to try it.
