NO! IT CAN'T BE OVER YET!

Breakfast yesterday morning in the warm sunrise after another cold night.
The breakfast chef hard at work.
Hi there, pancake chef!
Some of the breakfast ingredients----sausages and butter and maple syrup. The blueberry pancakes are on the griddle!
Sigh----what an empty campsite here this morning.
GOOD MORNING ALL!
Nancy and Kathy pulled out yesterday morning after the annual pancake breakfast and a trip to the pond. I see they made it home safe and sound----thanks for all you did, you two!
Pete got on the road at a little before 7:00 am today, and I am hoping he has good weather for his return trip to his home in Ohio. He has the damage the storms did to his deck and electrical service to deal with when he gets back there. I am so happy he didn't have to leave early to get back there and deal with everything.
I took Weldon and Melissa to the airport last night for a seven o'clock flight home to the Sanford, FL airport. They made it home by 9:30, and called to check in when they got to their house.
I think we had one of the finest Ruckuses yet, at least from my point of view, and I hope the others felt the same way. Although many could not make it this year, for whatever reasons, and those of us who were here missed them, we still had a wonderful time. I felt way more relaxed than in ruckuses past, for some reason----I guess practice helps! The weather was nearly perfect, with just one windy, sporadically rain-stormy day, (yes, in one of the pictures on the slide show we are all running for cover when the wind and rain came up!) The sun was with us 99% of the time, the bugs were nearly non-existent but for some mosquitoes one warm night until Connie brought out her newest OFF personal bug fan thingy! It drove them away from us all!
Last night's supper, in the rain, was steak, corn, mashed potatoes and snacks cooked on my covered front deck and eaten in the house. Richard, Pete, Mandy, Joe, and I chatted and dined. The steak was wonderful, I thought.
Richard will leave this morning to head for a campground in Vermont and meet with some friends, and then head for the Allburgh Bluegrass festival where I will catch up with him on Wednesday morning for a week of boondocking and live music. My friend, Laura, will come with me.
Each year, when the Ruckus is over, I suffer a let-down of something wonderful being over-----like Christmas morning when all the presents have been opened! But this year, I have the option to head south in late fall and meet up with others again!
I hope this Monday finds all in good health and safe on the roads. Coffee is hot, so stop by and tell us about your day!

Yes, your life is about to start whole new "seasons" of measuring time. Enjoy the planning and the travels ahead as much as you have enjoyed your Ruckus
The joy of friendships available year round! Thank you for sharing your pictures. Makes me hungry this morning.

Sure looks like it was a great GTG Soos! One of these days I'll make it up there for some of Cathy's pancakes and a sniff of your special recipe.

Soos, I can see why you will miss everyone. Looks to have been a great time! But Tina is right. Now that you are retired you will be meeting up with them and others along the way to FL and places beyond! Enjoy!

Hey Soos,
Glad you had such a good time at your ruckus. Now you need to plan to come down to Petit Jean and visit with this loopy bunch of women. Man are we gonna have a good time and I have a shooter of Alligator Piss for you. You can't fall in the campfire, because we can't build any. You may fall in all the propane fires we are gonna have though.

Soos, Glad all went well and the pictures were great.
Yesterday cleared a bit so we went to the beach in the afternoon, the tide was in so we only stayed for a little bit, then went to a different park for the snacks I packed. Now when we were taking the trail to the beach a younger lady on a cell phone had a Boise State Sweat shirt on..I had my Boise State t-shirt on..we pointed at each other...Like HOW cool is that. Then we get down to the beach...after navigating right through the middle of a wedding..they had not started yet. DH was like, less go the other way..there is no other way unless we drive back to the boat launch area. Then someone waved us to come through. We get down there and there is our friend "Peter piper" piping for the wedding.
Then we head toward the other end of the beach and there is Coach Hatch, spots DS (he coached DS at his baseball camp in puts on, he is one of the local high school coaches). I chat with his wife for a bit. Then the younger lady in the Boise State sweatshirt appears again. IT was Coach Hatches Daughter. How odd is that, so then we talked for a bit. She said you must be from Idaho, I was like, yes I was born and raised there. It was just funny thing.
Well today we will be working on rounding up all the fair entries. The fair starts next Monday, we have to have everything there on Saturday AM. It is fun..I keep saying every year, I am going to get a box and put all the fair stuff in it...so we are not searching for the items the week before...but it never happens that way.
The kids enter art, crafts, photography, this year we are going to do some cupcakes and cookies also. They love doing it...more so because they earn $$ on the ribbons.
Well I should get off here and get started with the day.

Hey Soos - glad it all went so well - and even more glad that you have a whole bunch of options available to you now - and that it seems you are getting more comfortable with that. Now - tell Cedar I miss her pancakes!
Have a great day, everyone.
