GOOD MORNING TO US ALL!
This should be the week I get my first retirement check, although it won't be the actual amount I will get for the rest of my life as it takes many months to finish calculating it all, so I am told. Also, as I was paid for one day last month, that amount will now be subtracted from this month's check. It is nervewracking, to say the least!
It is 50 degrees here today, so far, but the sun is bright and the sky is totally clear! Forecast is for it to warm up and get summer-like again. I will be going to the dentist this morning, and after that, who knows! I would choose today to go visit Cedar and Kathy, but my electrical part will probably not be there until tomorrow or the next day. I am hoping for tomorrow.
Lilly and Hope met up with Lilly's mom, June, again yesterday, but this time Lilly and Hope fled the area and stuck together! Things are looking good for those two, at least for right now. (Bears I am talking about here, for anyone who might be a newbie and not know those names!)
Coffee is hot and Hazlenut, both caffeinated and decafe, so stop by and share a cup with the rest of us. I need to read some email, check my latest Facebook stuff, and get dressed to get my teeth cleaned! Catch you all later, and have a happy Monday.

Good Morning! Can't believe I'm going to be the second poster (unless somebody else is typing at the same time) Not much going on here today, it's supposed to rain again and again and again.... It hasn't started yet, but I do hear the rumbling of thunder. I guess I'll clean house today, anybody want to help? Yesterday was my great-niece's 5th birthday, so we had a party at my sister's house. She lives two doors down from me. She said they were going to their camp this weekend at Toledo Bend and asked if we wanted to join them, so I'll be checking into that. We need to get new fishing licenses as ours expired the end of June. All I have to offer this morning is Community coffee with French Vanilla creamer and Cheerio's with soy milk.

I'm here, Vickie!
Just quickly checking in as I need to get my day going and pack up Little Missy. Will be home Wed, late AM.
Added another picture of my GDs to my post in the General thread. There trophies were awesome, made of cut out metal.
Going to be another hot one here. Hope all are staying away from those awful storms on the news.
Stay safe, be happy!!

Good Morning Ladies, we have sunshine and will be 85 today... not bad considering the hot we have been having... just hope the heat warnings are gone...
Yesterday was an off day... but today will be better... had my coffee and will have cereal later... must do some laundry and vacuum as well as dust... I threw away most of my vhs and cassette tapes there was no way to play them at least I have none... and most of them were very old... kind of like purging... I put some of the cassette tape books in the for sale box... I have a lot of them as I used to listen while I drove many hundreds of miles working for Olan Mills Church Division... good way to pass the time...
Soos you do more than 10 people... wow you are always busy... Carolina gal you sure sound like you have recuperated fast... glad you can do more now... No help from me here Vicky
hmmmm maybe on the other hand that would be fun to work together...
Have a good day where ever you are and what ever you are doing be safe...
Kathleen

Was sad here yesterday - with a 15 year old girl dying from a lightning strike in the water. Her mom and sister are both critical. I put it on my blog last night for my friends and family who might have seen news and been worried about me. I had intended to have my maiden kayak voyage yesterday. But somewhere far distant, I heard thunder - and I learned with the motels I managed - if you hear it anywhere - you close the outside pools. Came inside - and without anything closer to us - all of a sudden - a big boom - and that strike was in the water here. 5 people were pulled from the water - 2 were taken to the hospital and I believe released - the 1 taken and pronounced dead and the other 2 in critical condition but expected now to survive.
I'm only saying all this here - because we travel a lot and we all seem to like the water - so remember - be careful out there! It's not just lightning that is dangerous. We can't live without water, and it's probably the most potent and dangerous force in our lives, also.
That said - Mother Nature brings us the beauty we see, and strikes terror into us all at other times. Today, it was a beautiful morning and I got my maiden voyage in the kayak. Wow. This, to me, is more a toy. I will probably never be a true kayaker. But I'll sure enjoy the time I can get out and simply be. I posted a couple pics on my blog just now, if you're interested.
Now, Soos, I do agree with you - it's a Marvelous Monday!
