GOOD MORNING TO US ALL!

It's a cool 62 degrees out there, and still very overcast and foggy. We ended up geting another 3 inches of rain yesterday while I was off in the truck shopping in the city. It's supposed to be nice again today, and, if it is, it's leanto day for me. I will need to go back to WalMart to exchange the fold-up chair I bought yesterday for the shorter model of the same. I don't know what I was thinking when I went for the too-tall one! The shorter one is ten dollars cheaper, also.

I've had a fun time this morning watching digital videos my daughter in OR has on her Facebook page of her at Easter when her daughter and two grandkids were visiting her. It's really neat to be able to share things like that on Facebook----the site I swore I would NEVER join again! Never say never.

Lily and Hope are still together as of last night, anyway. It is a real mystery why Lily seems to enjoy losing Hope and has a fit when the cub locates her again, for a short while, anyway. What a learning experience for all. Bears seem to share more human emotions than we ever believed-----"How can I lose this pesky, demanding, time-consuming little whippersnapper?" Of course, most human moms don't actually do it, thank heavens, but I am sure we have all had our moments when we wish we were free and single once again!

When the fog burns off, and the sun comes out, Molly and I will head to the pond to work on the leanto. If it stays a bit rainy, maybe I will return the WalMart chair. Either/or----maybe/maybe not-----yes/no-----now/later-----work/play! New feelings for me as I realize I have some time to pick my activities these days!

I had a long talk with Melissa in FL last night, and those two are so excited about working on their new property! A garden tractor with 57 inch mower is arriving on Thursday, from Lowes, who has the 12 month/no interest deal going. Weldon has already torn out a section of the fence they didn't need, poles and all, with no equipment other than his arms and hands----rolled the fencing up onto the poles, to clear an area to more easily mow and view their pond. He checked out the pump and other well on the other side of the property, (originally was two-house property before last owners tore down old places and built this new house) and found the other septic system which they are saying are mine to use when I come down for the winters! He said everything is a go there---pump works great, and water is great quality! Also a spot to install me a 30 amp plug where I will be located! What an amazing place to spend the winter this year! I am not sure who is more excited---them, or me!

I hope we all have a fun day doing something we like to do. Coffee is hot, so stop by and tell us about where you are.
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Soos, how much are they charging per campsite per nite? I'm looking for a winter location this year too! Just (sort of) kidding!  Looks like a really nice property and nice setting. I'm sure they are totally excited about making it "their own"! Would never have thought to use mullein as TP! Learn something new every day!

ANOTHER hot and humid day here in MD. Sure wish we would get a break from it.

I found this 'short' chair at Lowe's the other day. It has straps so you can carry it like a backpack. It's really comfortable, and 20 bucks. Can't see it in the picture very well, but there's even an adjustable headrest cushion.

I am so frustrated with this blankety blank computer  I'm about ready to throw it in the flood water!!! I had a post all composed and then it decided to shut down to update Windows 7. What??? Anyone else having problems with this version? I hate it so far!!! I think it is the source of my computer problems.

I have had my Kashi Cinnamon Harvest cereal with fresh peaches for breakfast. No coffee...just my usual organic apple cider vinegar in filtered water, with a little grape juice to keep my acid reflux away and wash down my Estroven, allergy pill, and supplements. May need some coffee, though. I'm about ready to throw my weather radio into the flood water! I should just turn it off and listen for the sirens...but now they go off if the weather hits a certain velocity! Took Rags out to go potty, but didn't take a long walk yet. GD is still sawing logs so thought I would let her sleep in a bit so I can enjoy the quiet for awhile longer ;) Not used to the constant chatter, but I'm sure I will miss it when she goes home. I'm surprised she doesn't talk in her sleep

I added your FB friends to my FB friends, Soos, so I can keep up with the escapades. I wonder if Lily is acting any different because she is being so closely monitored or if she would be doing this anyway? I'm glad you have a space with your kids in FL this winter :D I'm with Paulette...If they open it up for other RVers, and the price is right, I'm in! Hey, we could have a winter long GTG  That flower looks like something that grows wild here. Did you plant it? Just don't use those 3 leaf plants for TP :o

Well, I better get back to job hunting! I have a post on the "Work Camping" thread so if anyone has any ideas, please chime in! Have a great day, girls!!!

Rainy Good Morning to all you Ladies... finally the heat broke yesterday and we got rain it is raining today also... looks like no swimming for Sekana before she goes home tomorrow...

My daughter cut my hair yesterday it looks good and feels better... we didn't do much else... had left overs for dinner and ate a lot of the things that are in the frig... too soon it will be lonely here... I have had a busy summer with the girls visiting...

Today will be laundry and making sure there are no clothes in places we do not normally put them... Jackie will pack the suit cases and they will shower so they can just put clothes on in the morning and be ready for the train ride to MI... Years ago when I was young my grandma used to ride the train from FL where she lived to MI where we lived she was afraid to fly... that always seemed like it would be an adventure...

Soos sounds like things are going good for the young ones in FL... I am glad you will have a place to park and be near family but separate from them... sounds like you have your work cut out for the day...

Mitch that looks like a great chair to relax in I can see the neck head cushion fine...

I have never had Kashi cereal but have wondered what it tastes like...

Liz your travel pictures are great as usual... keep keeping us posted...

Thats all that is happening here in my little world...

Have a great day everyone...

Good morning all, it's cloudy here again this AM still no rain for us, it gets very close and we end up with just a few sprinkles. Oh well the clouds keep the heat down a bit thankfully.
I just heard on the radio this AM that for the first time eBooks have out sold hardbacks. Also Amazon has lowered the price on their Kindles. I use my iPhone but I know some have been looking at eBook options.

Good morning everybody
wow Soos, that is one tall weed, reminds me of a giant lambs ear plant. Lambs ear
had smaller leaves but were known to also be natures tp and natures bandaid as
well. The plant grew just like that but with purple flowers and silvery fuzzy leaves.
So glad to hear your sons place finally closed, are there any pictures to share?
Its still hot here, that will of course last a couple more months yet, but we do what
we have to and putting up with it is a "have to" thing. (for now anyway)
The heat has melted the seal on my door window and the glass has slipped down
about an inch, have put a little duct tape on the gap to block off the gap and
will have to do some research with Carriage to see about getting a new one and
reset the glass. Hope it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg.
Coffee is good and I think I'll have toast for breakfast. No errands to run today.
Enjoy your day

Slept in this morning. Got an e-mail from the guy with the car top carrier. I may go there tonight to check it out. He said he will even put it on my car for me! He has a Ford Taurus wagon so almost the same car as mine, just a little bigger, so it should fit on mine just fine! He doesn't live very far from me either so that is good! One more "duck" lined up.

Linda, are you going to abandon me by going to Florida instead??? Or will I have to follow you there? (My girlfriend Cathy in FL would love that! But it is not my dream location. More humidity!!!)

Got bills to pay and laundry to do today :( . Played golf last night but didn't do very well. It wasn't very hot out but the humidity was high so I was feeling slow and sticky the whole time. But still had fun chatting with the other girls in my foursome.

No breakfast yet. Maybe some cereal in awhile. Have a great day everyone!

Morning!
Looks to be another perfect day here in our neck of the PNW!
Did I mention that the gal that was coming sometime after noon yesterday cancelled because of a dental emergency? I so could have went walking around the lake near/with my DD and GDs instead of hanging around here. The scheduling just called and she is coming today. Well she has to as the permits have to be in before they can do the install tomorrow!
Yesterday I called my Dr to let her know how my BP meds were giving me a horrendous dry cough and her nurse called to say she phoned in a new prescription for me. So I waited 4 hrs as I thought that would give them plenty of time to fill it. So I give the pharmacy my name and she pulls up my account on the computer and tells me it's not ready because my insurance won't pay for it!! She said it was probably because it's a more expensive med. Anyway, the pharmacy faxed my Dr and told them that they need to contact my insurance and see what to do. I guess I hadn't realized that insurance companies can turn down med perscriptions. So now I do the waiting game and checking back as I'm sure no one will bother to contact me of what's going on. Why do I feel like I'm doing everyone else's job!?
Ok, done whining for now. Thanks for letting me vent. :)
On a happier note, my Kindle should be arriving today! I'll let you know how I like it. I did download a few free kids books to my iPhone Kindle so my GDs will have something to read on our trip to CA next month. Found a few horse story books as they both love horses. Any books I've downloaded to the iPhone Kindle will automatically transfer to the new one. I think I'm going to like having it on the iPhone still as it is smaller and I can read from it if I'm stuck in line somewhere or at the Dr's office.
We've gone 18 days without any rain after going thru the wettest Spring in history. Some lawns are starting to brown up. I run my sprinkler system 3xs a week now.
Ok, everyone take care. Looking forward to the PA GTG!! Safe travels getting there, ladies!

Is it padded? I used to have one similar that I got at Walgreens and was called a Brazilian Lawn chair. I think they sell them at K-mart (like the one I had). This one looks nicer tho.

Barbie...I would still go to FL if I got a job offer there and not in CA. I'm still trying for CA, but either way, you can follow! We could have a ball in FL, too! Right, Liz?
