BEAUTIFUL SATURDAY

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

BEAUTIFUL SATURDAY

Postby Nasoosie » Sat Jul 17, 2010 7:49 am

GOOD MORNING ALL!

I have already released a live-trapped mouse from my house under the sink, played with Molly in the yard, checked my Facebook pages (I still don't understand those!) clipped some tent caterpillars from my ancient apple tree to burn them, made coffee, and now I am ready to type a few messages!

One RV salesman told me that I should every so often remove the gasket strip covering the screws holding my sides together and give them some turns. I never have, but suppose it would be a good idea.

I can't believe it's only a couple of weeks before the Ruckus! I suppose I need to get the grills ready, the tables set up, my menu planned and the groceries listed that I will need. I still have the banner this time, as nobody in the East has had a major GTG since last year. I also need to make sure my riser-pole will work for the wires over the driveway. I may have to cut a new pole, as I think I broke it last year when I took it down by myself. I am hoping some strong arms will arrive a bit early to give me some help! !(Hint hint!)

I hope everybody is having the perfect summer weather we are having up here this JUly----I have been loving it!

This may be the clean the leanto day, after one load of laundry and perhaps some staining on my house if it stays cool enough yet warm enough to do it.

Stop and tell us what's up with you all----everybody have a wonderful Saturday----which are now like all other days for me
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

good morning ladies
wonderful morning indeed, I slept in! The monsoon rolled in and the sky opened up
last evening. It was wonderful, however had to run over to daughters to feed the
cat after the storm, it was like a sauna out there! But it certainly cooled things off
a little, we went from 115 to 105 :D Hoping for another storm today.
Nothing planned today, will keep on cleaning out little nooks and crannies. Did the
bathroom cabinet shelves and drawers yesterday, today I suppose I'll tackle the
bedroom ones.
Coffee is ready and a little yogurt cup for breakfast :P

Good Morning all... it is warm already here but not like ava has it wow!! I would be moving soon from that hot place...
We watched some movies last night... after getting dog food, gas, going to the post office and getting boxes... then getting take out at steak n shake...
The boxes were for the books and other finishing 'touches' on the whole house clean up... wow it is such a nice feeling to know that everything is all finished... except the garage sale at my daughters in August...
My girlfriend T from Michigan wrote me an e-mail and said I could come today and stay as long as I wanted!!! her long time boyfriend Russ wants me to come and make 'flat' bacon... sorry that is not going to happen anytime soon... will be late August or September before I can go... my friend Jere in MI has cancer and he is having treatments soon... but he may tell them he does not want to do them... that is kind of mixed up and T wants me to come and be there... cancer is such an ugly disease...
It is 11 and I am just finished with my first cup of coffee... have to make potato salad, coleslaw and a cake for tomorrow... two of my grandsons are coming over after church for dinner... we will have chicken on the grill... they are eaters so have to have a table of food for them...
Time to get the second cup of coffee and put the eggs and potatoes on to cook...
Have a great day everyone...

It rained late yesterday afternoon and Peaches and I then enjoyed a cooler walk into sunset last night. The humidity was back up high this morning and just a few minutes ago - the raindrops started falling on my roof, again - love that sound. Hoping it cools of the day a bit when it stops. Then again, I don't have anywhere I need to be today and my roof leak is fixed - let it rain today. Let it rain all week. I ordered a less expensive inflatable kayak, expect to get it next weekend - so the following week - I want sunny days to play.

Hot Saturday here in IA :o It's already about 90 and it's still morning! The humidity is high, too, so it feels more like summer in FL. Walked half of my morning walk with Rags on the shady bike trail, but the other half in the sun. Was soaked by the time I got home! GD, Maddie, rode her bike so she gets a little breeze, but I have to keep an eye on her as she tends to overheat easily.

I finally got to move back to my previously flooded site yesterday :D It feels so good to be home!!! The recreation area is still closed to the public so I'm still not working and still haven't got my paycheck for June. Trying not to worry about the money and remember to leave it in God's hands. Things always work out somehow. Hey, I have my computer back, so that is a good thing, right? Found out we could move back at about 2:00 PM. Had already put my awning back out and toted black and grey water up to the dump station! I didn't keep my phone with me so finally checked it and had a voice mail message from my boss and DXH. DXH saw me toting and didn't flag me down. I told him to remember what goes around comes around. Maddie and I really kicked it into gear when I got the message and we worked hard the rest of the afternoon. Took several truck runs to bring stuff back over and then go back and get Myrtle and get her set up in her spot again. Had to blow the crap out of my shed again before I put stuff back in it. That is a nasty job  Mice nesting always blows out of the nooks and crannies, so I wear a bandana over my nose and mouth and goggles to protect my eyes. I was so sweaty that a lot of it stuck to my skin....YUCK! I was out in the heat so long yesterday that my back got sunburnt :( Heaped on the aloe gel after my shower.

After my morning walk, I got busy again doing outside stuff before it got unbearable. I hooked my sewer back up. I'm the only one with a septic tank so have a big PVC pipe leading to it. Had to get my supporting bricks back in place, etc. They knocked a bracket off of my shed that I had used to set my kayak on so need to rig up something else now. Maddie and I will go shopping this morning for dirt and a few flowers to replant my flower bed. Amazingly, the grass I planted in the middle, the butterfly bush, and all of the moss roses survived! If you could see how high the water was in here, you would be surprised, too! There is a water line halfway up my privacy fence. My day lilies are doing well and blooming so I have something pretty to look at out my window. Got the bird feeders all up and the birds are back already :D I really missed my birds! There wasn't the variety of birds up at the campground that I have here.

Well, better get a shower and go shopping with the money I don't have :? Promised Maddie that we would have a fire tonight and roast weenies. Have a great day and maybe I'll see you at the campfire tonight ;)

Good Morning everybody! I don't post in the morning coffee room often, but wanted you to join in our thanks for the milestone this day. Twenty two years ago, today, Ronnie was a passenger in a car that was ran off the road about 2am. The other auto didn't stop, when somebody finally did, they found him in the ditch, the driver had minor scrapes, but Ronnie had C6&7 spinal cord injury. They didn't expect him to live 24 hours, but now, 22 years later he's still going strong, much to be thankful for!

Vickie - it's a terrible anniversay- and also a good one - as he survived and you have had him with you all this time. So glad for that. Now - as to my feelings for the driver that left him in that ditch....

Happy Anniversary. And I hope to be here when you double those years to 44.

Hope I get to meet you both on the roads.

Yep, a happy and a sad milestone all rolled up in one, and tons to be thankful for. Sure am glad he's still around and I'm positive you're one of the reasons. I'm sure he'll be around for another 22 years if for no other reason than the rvwomen GTG's!! (That boy does love to eat and we eat well!) And of course for his beautiful (inside and out) and caring spouse. Kudos to you and his will to live.

Well, see he's one lucky man (and you one lucky lady). You might not have fallen in love with the man he was before the accident - what happens to us changes us - hopefully for the better most of the time. I'll look forward to your 22 year anniversary :) in 10 1/2 years.
