LAST JUNE 2010 SUNDAY

Hope on June 25th at her feeding tree, playing cautious, which is a good thing. Her custom-made little break-away GPS collar has arrived at the research center, and Sue and Lynn are hoping to get it on her so they can know where she goes and what she does all by herself in the woods of Ely, MN. The blueberries are getting ripe there, as are the Juneberries, so there is plenty of wild food for the little bear cub now. She still needs that bear milk supplement, too, however.

PEEKABOO AND GOOD MORNING!

It's about 56 degrees outside, but the sky is much brighter than it was all day yesterday....it would be great to see some sun, and I need to mow parts of the lawn again. I'm going to try to get my daughter to stay around for one more day to rest before she takes to the road to go to her grandmother's family reunion in West VA. She had about three major events going on in her life yesterday, and has been going nonstop for days now. I would like for her to even fib a bit and tell her grandma that she got sick and can't come at this time. She is planning to drive by herself, and come right back by the 4th, when she has something else scheduled. That's a long trip to squish into so few days. And they recently told her she will probably be staying in a tent while she's down there. Holy cow, the temperatures have been in the triple digits! It's not that I don't have about 10 tents she can choose from, but a tent in that heat would be horrible!

Molly is all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed again this morning, which is good to see. I hate to see my fur babies sick, and it's always worrisome. I know I will never be without a furry body to hold as I enter this new chapter of my life.

I see the sun trying to peek through the morning fog and mist----YAY!

Coffee is hot, so stop in and let us know where you are and what you're doing! Happy last Sunday of June 2010.

good morning ladies, I'm not quite awake yet, little more coffee is in order but soon
enough I'll be busy with routine chores (laundry, dishes, dump, etc). I have a friend
coming over EARLY to do up a resume for him on my computer. That will probably
take up the better part of my day, then brainstorm myself how to get him a hard copy
as I have no printer connected to my computer. Guess I could go out to the shed and
find my box of electrical cords and connections and search for a usb cord. Been meaning
to do that anyway so I could hook up my printer that was given to me last year. Alrighty
then, guess thats the plan.
It seems a little overcast this morning, hoping we get a little monsoon storm come up as
the weather is predicted to just get hotter each day.
Little Hope looks good and getting fat.
Coffee is done dripping and a little cinnamon toast for breakfast and I'm good to go.
I'm awake now.
Have a good day and everyone be safe.

Good Morning Ladies
Love the update with pix on Hope.
Soos - day two of retirement!!!! Did you get to sleep late?
Another mini gtg going here. We actually managed to get a few photos loaded last night. (see Get Together thread)
I had such high hopes of sleeping in this morning. Lizzie (I'm dog sitting again) does not believe in that however. She got me and Nicky up way too early.
Not sure what Carolyn (Sunshinecrusier) and I will get into today; Beth is going to visit friend in Arab for a while so we will be lacking adult supervision for the day. Wishing all a safe and great day.

Hello everyone, I know it isn't morning, but thought this a good place to start. Have to get back into what all of you are doing. A little more comfortable setting here for a bit, and my sister has left, last Thursday morn. and my friend will leave this next Tuesday. I'm doing quite well, Thank you Lord, moving a little slow and restricted as to what I can do, but hey who wants to do work or household chores anyway? :D My friend came loaded with two bags of books, so when the chores bother me, I will get one and read into someone else's life, where maybe their homes are cleaner

I have the staples out and yes, Sharon, you were right, not bad at all. The tumor was Cancer, so will have blood work, dr. visits etc. for sometime,so far no chemo is planned. Whatever, is ahead, in between, I plan to enjoy each and everyday to the fullest. Always Blessings in everything, with this popping up into my life, don't have to make decisions on where to go for the summer. Sept.is already planned, so gosh no worries here !!!! ;)

I hope you all have a Great Sunday. I plan to stick my two cents in here and there and try to catch up after my friend leaves Tuesday. Will be lonesome here so will need to see whats happening with the rest of you here.

Take care , Safe travels for those traveling, Enjoy and don't forget the pics
CArol

Soos, the pics of Hope are adorable, thank you for posting the pics of her, I have so enjoyed them. Also, Congrats on the retirement. Anything new or changes in our lives are kind of scary but also soooo exciting too. I wish the VERY best for you and I just know you are in for the time of your life, its going to be great, and of course, you have to keep all of our inquiring minds up to date on all of it ;) :o :P

Morning...still morning here in the PNW..
Hope is one tenacious little cub! Always good to see her cute little face.
Carol, good to hear from you. Gosh, my 24 hr stomach flu seems so minor with all you have going on. Continued prayers, for sure.
My 2 DGDs left last night. I've had them here since Thursday. We've had great fun, but it's nice to be "just me" here again. Those two are at the fighting stage. Everything is a contest with them whether it's who gets the first pancake or who was sitting on what chair first! ;) I'm refereed out!!
So today I'm going to try to finish reading The Help on my iPhone Kindle. I'm so enjoying that story, then I'll look into another book someone mentioned in the Book Talk section. Sorry, I forgot who it was, but it does look like a great read. Oh, I think Janice did!
Everyone, stay safe, whether traveling or working in your yards!

Good Morning Ladies... we had more rain during the night... seems to be very wet all of the time now... that plays havoc with my body...
Oh Soos I had some hazel nut coffee this morning... it was good... I use the Keurig coffee maker and had some k-cups left... I normally use the fill it yourself cup and my own coffee... I must say the hazel nut was good...
My neighbor and her mom came over and we had coffee on the deck this morning... the humidity was and is very high... it is fun to chat with someone over coffee...
I am so looking forward to my daughter and granddaughter coming on Wednesday...
Carolina gal so nice to see you... glad you are slowly getting your strength back... it takes so long to recover as we get older...
Shadow is edgy this morning... He seems to bark at every movement outside...
Hope everyone has a good day...
smile
Kathleen

A hi to all of you and a special hi to Carol.

Carol, I know you thought in advance (or the drs did) that it would be cancerous. I'm hoping and sending positive thoughts that it's all contained and the surgery took care of every bit of it. You are such a cheerful and great lady - and I'm so so glad that you're back on the forum and with plans for Sept - and who knows what before and after. Meantime, if there is ANYTHING I (and probably lots of others here) can do - please, please, let us know.

That said, I'm just recently back from my friends. Peaches and I had a short walk with Carolyn this morning, then headed out. We did a bit of sightseeing (like we usually do when visiting this friend) and I hope to get a couple blog posts (or one long one) done soon which will catch you up on it all. I also did Jean's an my shopping and just ate some of my leftovers from Friday night's Mexican dinner with Carolyn and Sarah. Yummy. Still have one more meal from that dinner left :) I love leftovers.

Soos, is there a motel nearby your daughter could stay at? I know that's what I'd do - sometimes you have to bite the bullet and pay that bit - especially in this weather.
