FRIDAY---YAHOO!!

GOOD MORNING ALL!

It's about 47 degrees here this morning, grey, damp and dank, but not raining as yet! Although my plan was to say inside here last night, I moved to the trailer after I had a hot bath to get myself warm, and it was a perfect night out there. When I took Molly out for one last walk, the sounds of the birds going to sleep and the smell of that fresh air won me over, and I was no longer cold! I even opened up the window next to my bed----right at eye level it is----out there. Molly and I watched for that huge coyote to return, but my eyes got too heavy to keep up the watch.

Today my class will go to the big shopping mall in Plattsburgh, a city about 50 miles from the school. They will be given their earned money in envelopes with their name on them, like getting a cashed paycheck. They are told to save at least ten dollars for lunch, no matter what they do with the rest of the money. No money for lunch means they will go hungry. Part of the learning experience! I need to find a decent backpack to put my 'treasures' in as I am walking. One of the other women will take the girly-girls to the girly-girly fashion stores, and I will take my group to Gander Mountain, Dick's, Best Buy, and places like that. I am going to try to avoid K-Mart, if we get near that store, as they have a new tent that is screaming out my name! (For those who don't know, I have a tent addiction which I am going to rehab for!) We will also spend about an hour in WalMart, and maybe I can find me some clothes to pack in the trailer for my retirement garb!

Wiley brought me a set of back-out screw thingies for my wireless drill yesterday, and I plan to try to get those few remaining stubborn screws out of my dinette bench I want to remove. That will be a weekend chore. I'll store that in the cellar until I am ready to trade this trailer for another some day, along with the table top. One bench will stay in there, as the furnace is housed underneath that one. I am hoping it will make a lot of room to have that bench out of there, and nobody has EVER used it! We always eat outside, or set up little fold-away tables and sit on the sofa in the rainy weather. And I don't need the extra sleeping space the dinette affords.

Maybe I can find a neat little table/desk today, to use for a computer in that space.

Coffee is hot, so stop by and tell us about your day.

P.S.---latest on Hope from the NABC:
"Hope continues to eat what we put out for her, but spends most of her time foraging and exploring elsewhere."

good morning ladies
not so hot today, just in the 90's and continued through the weekend. Much better
than the 110 we dealt with all week.
Spent yesterday at the Diamondback game with a group from the Jaycees special ed
care center. All these students are high school age and they were so excited about
going to the baseball game. It was a fun afternoon, the entire stadium was filled
with kids from all over the metro area of Kids Club, Boys and Girls Club and other
special ed programs too, even some senior centers were there. Made for a very
long day but it was some good extra hours for me.
Today I'm suppose to be off but the special ed scheduler asked me if I wanted to
work today so of course I said yes. Have to do a dry run of a couple students that
go to a school across town. I don't pick the students up, just locate their houses,
write up some left and right directions, etc etc. These are adult special ed that
are pretty much non-functional and I will have an aide when I do the run later on
when the driver goes on vacation. Its really gonna be a gravy day cause I already
know where the one kid lives, (picked up for two weeks last summer), and I
already know where this other school is located. Extra time is extra time and I
will get it done in the early part of the day.
Soos, I'm delighted the little bear cub is holding its own and actually surviving
on its own, reminds me of that movie I saw years ago called "The Bear" , same
scenario.
Well, of off for more coffee and make a little toast and few chores and then get
myself to work.
Have a great day everybody

Good-morning, This is so nice. The forum,is here this morning. My day was not too good yesterday, I checked several times and just a big ERROR screen. One of those instants, where you never REALLY appreciate something until you don't have it. It was quite late before I found it was back on, and I had just checked before shutting down. It makes me wonder, how much am I going to miss you all while unable to get to a computer? NOT going to be good, I am soooo addicted!

I am so glad the little bear is doing well. Very independent little thing.

I hope you all had a great day yesterday and that today will be a repeat. I have last min. errands to run, trash drop off on the way into town. Library and few groceries. Want to leave and be back before our storms come in again today. I missed you all yesterday, so just had to say hi this morning.

Take care, those traveling stay safe
CArol

Good morning Ladies. It's hotter than hades down here in Paradise. Actually only about 86 but feels like 99. The humidity is tough. Will only be here about four more days and then I head north to get to TN the last of the month or first of July via AL. I'll stop at St George Island FL and hope the oil isn't messing up the beach there. Maybe I can help if with the clean-up if it is. Such a tragedy. Have a wonderful day.

Woke up to a thunderstorm this morning. Not sure what it is supposed to do the rest of the day, probably the same as all week has been - rainy and cool. I haven't had time to even check a weather forecast all week! I could really get burned out quick with this new job! I keep reminding myself about the money and the fact that I will only be there for 3 more months or so before heading off to California, so I can put up with it for that long. I love what I'm doing but they really frown on taking breaks so I have to eat my lunch one or two bites at a time in between haircuts. I don't even take time to use the bathroom all day! And when my shift is over, if there is anyone waiting for a haircut, I have to stay and take it if everyone else is busy. (Gotta keep thinking $$$$$!!)

I have today off and have lots of things at home to get caught up on, but also want to relax a little. I got a long weekend at work ahead of me!

Better get started on my list...

Have a great, safe, fun day!

Good Morning All
Hot and humid is our forecast for the entire coming week - 5 to 10 degrees above normal - actually more like Aug. than June. UGH! Shame we cannot swap some of this heat with Soos cold air. It was in the low 80s at 8:00 AM heading toward mid-90s for aternoon.
Oh my, Just heard on news that 12 people dead in campground in Ark due to flash flood - missed name of campground. It is in Montgomery county. So sad.
Soos, Loved yesterday's photo of Hope.
Stay safe out there and have fun.

Holy cow, blue! That IS a sad story.

I'm back up at the reservoir ... speaking of high water, the lake has risen EIGHT FEET in the last four days. Long cold spring, heavy snowpack. We get a day of hot weather and it all cuts loose.

Ava, I thought you were a snowbird. You actually LIVE in the summer heat down there?

My Bandit dog was bouncy and happy during our pre-breakfast walk this morning. He's the funniest boy ... before breakfast he's rarin' to go. AFTER he eats, he digs his feet in and gives me one of those "make me!" looks when I put the leash on.

AND (drum roll) I switched laptops with my roomie (they're both mine) and I've got INTERNET ACCESS up here at the park again. I've been using the teensy screen and #@!$& little virtual keyboard on my iPhone. Don't get me wrong ... it's worth its weight in gold. BUT ... I've felt so much out of the loop.
