COOLER WEDNESDAY

GOOD MORNING TO US ALL.
It's a cool one at just 43 degrees here, but everything has greened up even more since the rains of yesterday. I need to focus on the beauties of spring now, and try to get over my sorrow for my little cub, Hope, who is missing yet again and in dire shape, if she is indeed even still alive. Nobody can understand why her mom spooks so easily and leaves her little one to fend for herself like she does. It's agony to watch nature at work when you are a human with emotional attachments to those creatures who are a part of its intricate web. After all, I, too, am a part of that web, either blessed or cursed with the ability to feel empathy and sympathy. Being objective is so da&^ed hard.....impossible even. An objective detached researcher I could never have been, any more than I could have been a veterinarian whose job it is to euthanize so many 4-footers.
I am hoping that my classroom teacher will be able to be back at school today. We had two teachers absent yesterday, with one new girl subbing who had no clue what to do with our motley crew of students, and one other sub who has been in before, trying to hold down the fort with me. We had only one blow-up which I took care of, although that set the tenor for the day which was, at the very least, very iffy and trying.
I am hoping all you campers and aspiring campers out there will have a fun day wherever you may be. Coffee is hot and ready to be poured, so c'mon in and sip with me----and sob with me, please. The souls we grow to love can bring us so much joy and also have the ability wreak havoc with our emotions, can't they? I suppose that's being human. Sniff.

Gosh, tea and company sounds good. Glad you got some rain. We missed again although it looks like we might get some today later on. Hope os. My grass is all burned up. We are over 6 inches of precip. down from our normal at this time of year. That's 52% of normal we have missed already. It's bee nhot and dry. Just planted my flowers yesterday and I'm hoping mom nataure will water them. You can water all you want, but nothing's as good as rain.
This is to be a busy day for me. Chiropractor appt. this morning followed by quck run to grocery story and then home to clean house. Sunday I am leaving for Michigamme in Michigan's Upper Peninsula for a few days. Since I don't have a rig yet, I'm staying at a resort that I go to up there. My dogs love it. We have so many places we can walk. Miles of trails all over. How much walking we do reamins to be seens. I have the third dog, my houseguest here, so that's means taking three along with me. First time trip for her and I don't know how she will travel. Guess time will tell. Have a great day everybody.

Good Morning,
Nice 69 degrees here in the western New Mexico desert. Will be nice in the mountains again today. Worked in getting the garden ready yesterday. Will do some more garden stuff today. That's nice work. Will also get some good birding done off and on all day. Will then come back and get the rig ready for travel Thursday morning as I had to Tucson. Coffee here is French Vanilla, nice and hot. Everyone on the road be careful and watch out for the others. Watch your tires as the heat is just the real devil on them. Be safe above all other things.

Good Morning Ladies... cooler here also it was 65 and damp when I got up an hour ago... much better than the hot weather of yesterday...
Oh Soos I am sad also but maybe there are many things we do not understand... Hope may not be meant to survive animals know by their instincts when to let go... maybe putting them back together the other day only prolonged the inevitable...
My day will be busy running to the doctor and taking a few things back to the store that I bought in error... we got screening material for the front door and it was to small... hate that when you have to take things back!!! silly us should have measured before we went... oh an afterthought at best...
Say all of you handy women out there please answer me... how hard is it to take up the carpeting in a MH and replace it with carpet squares?... my daughter could help me by getting down when I can't... also do any of you have the rubber replaced roofs if so how expensive are they and do they hold up... picking brains this morning... lol
Have coffee will travel...
take care and drive safe everyone...

Soos, that is so sad and frustrating about Lily and Hope! Lily seems like a very insecure bear. Is this her first time being a mom? Poor Hope. I sure hope she shows up soon enough to get help again. Nature is hard to understand. I saw about a dozen tiny baby wood ducks in a pond last week with no parents around. I stopped by two days later and there were only 6 ducklings left and still no parents. The pond is inaccessible to get at to rescue the ducklings due to lots of trees and brush and a high shoreline. Yesterday, I stopped by there and saw two adult wood ducks but no babies. It made me sad that the parents would abandoned them like that. It was frustrating that I had no way to rescue the babies.
We did get some good old fashioned thunderstorms last night. I sat out on the porch for awhile and watched the lightening and rain. We needed that. We have been missed by lots of the storms that have gone just south of us lately.
Off to work now for my last day at the office. Just need to pack stuff up and say good-bye. I will miss working there.
Have a good day!

Kathleen, I took the carpet out of a Class C one time. They must put the carpet down first and install every thing on top of it so it's impossible to remove it all. I just cut it as close to the walls and cabinets as I could. They are also very free with the staples so you will have to pull a lot of them out. I have never used carpet tile so don't know how that would work. I put in the 4" vinyl wood look planks and it was like putting a puzzle together. I wouldn't use that again but would try the wider planks that float or tile.

Soos, you and I together this morning would make a sad pair. I'm sorry about Hope, and mother nature always knows best. Keep heart, again.
I am exhausted. Don't know if it's the bp meds that causing this cough or allergies. I mostly cough when lying down, so sleep is interupted and I get up with a headache. Also it's pouring rain, again. Suppose to set records, flooding, landslides possible etc. My SADDS is kicking in. Then I'm still trying to process the loss of my baby sister. I'd appreciate any good thoughts and prayers sent my way today. I feel like such a whiner.
Please, everyone traveling, stay safe and have fun. For those needing extra prayers for themselves or loved ones, I'm sending those.
Send SUN!!

Lenora, I am so sorry, you're having such a bad day. How long are you supposed to take these new BP meds, before dr. finds that they might not be the ones for you? With everything in your life right now, guess they need time for a decent trial. Sun, would do wonders for you, so prayers going up for your area to get some
I pray things will work out for you, so your days are better. Hey, you didn't sound like a whiner, just a person, who needs more sun and peace in her life.
Take care, God Bless
CArol

Lenora, You have been thru a lot recently. Don't be so hard on yourself! Rainy days always make things seem sadder and bring out the blues. We all need to just have a "sad" day once in awhile. You will have good days and bad days for quite awhile now. Grieving takes it's own time and each of us deals with it in our own very personal way. Do something nice for yourself - read a good book, take a nap, take a bubble bath, eat something you love, do some retail therapy, call a friend, take a walk (when the sun comes out), have a good cry, rent a funny movie (laughing lowers your blood pressure!), etc.
Will be thinking of you and sending positive thoughts your way!

Lenora----I am curious if you are on Norvasc for your high blood pressure? Before I got off that kind, I coughed every morning when I got up, and needed to use my inhaler whenever I lay down to sleep at night as well as several times during the daytime hours to keep my lungs open enough to breathe. This new BP med that I am on makes it so I never need my inhaler, I have no cough, and no more swelling of legs, hands, ankles, etc. The type of BP meds is really important, and seems to vary with each person. When I was on it, my BP soared to 185/110!!! My brain was getting ready to blow out. I am sure my entire body was inflated with fluids, including my heart. I could barely walk up the stairs at school. I really thought I might have a silent type of pneumonia, or something. Changed meds, and PRESTO! The lowest blood pressure I have had since I became aware of it, no swelling, no coughing, no breathlessness. I was lucky to notice I was sick and do something about it in time.
Check with your doc to see if another type of BP med might work for you.

Thank you everyone for your kind words of encouragement, thoughts and prayers.
I finally took myself to the Dr's. I had to see the "same day" Dr and was told it was going to be Dr Berberian. Remember he was the one that suggested that my tremors were Parkinsons? So I wasn't happy about that, but felt bad enough that I didn't care. As it turned out I saw a Dr St John and liked him well enough. We talked at length and he's thinking it's allergies and we are going to treat that first for a week and see if there is any change. If not, then we will know it's the bp meds.
Soos, I was on Norvasc and Atacand for years and for whatever reason my body decided that it didn't like them so was switched to Lisinopril (sp?). It seemed to work very well, no cough, but I wasn't on it for very long, only a couple weeks. Then I saw the neurologists for my tremors and he suggested trying the bp med, Inderal, as it has a beta blocker and that sometimes helps with tremors. So I switched 2 days before going to Illinois when my sister got sick. While in Illinois I got very sleepy, my ankles swelled some, and I developed a cough. The first two are side effects of the new meds and I was on a low dosage. The cough isn't on the list. When I got home I found my bp was soaring and knew I couldn't tollerate a higher dosage so asked to go back on the Lisinopril, which I did but my coughing hasn't gotten any better.
When I cough, it also starts my eyes watering, my nose running and I generally sneeze. So I'm leaning towards allergies. Will let you know.... thanks again everyone!

The sun will be there soon enough. Just think of me in my 100 degree temps sweating my brains out, unless i stay inside! BOO HOO! It did thunderstorm tonight so we got a bit of a break, but im sure it will come again w/ a vengeance, the rest of the week! (the heat)
Love ya, gal! hang in there and pet your dog a BUNCH! Mine is my life saver. After a few doggie hugs from her, I'm a new woman! God knew what He was doing when he made man's (woman's) best friend!

Lisinopril has been a life-saver for me, too! It's the first BP med that has actually worked for me, and I have been on tons of various kinds over the years. I was told a dry cough is a side effect of Lisinopril, but so far, I haven't experienced that. My cough while on Norvasc was like chronic bronchitis.
Good luck to you all with finding what works best for you.
