TEARY TUESDAY

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Cool morning and a cool night for great sleeping in the trailer with all windows and door open. It was in the mid 80s here yesterday, and totally WONDERFUL to feel heat at long last! The older I get, the more I appreciate being warm, through and through. Today is predicted to be even warmer than yesterday, so I guess I'll have to wear even cooler clothes for school. I wore just a thin denim jacket yesterday rather than one of my fleecy ones with several layers underneath that I have been wearing all winter. This is perfect summer weather for me. It's 45 outside now, so I have the doors here in the house open to add cool air which will stay in here all day while it warms up outside.....my own air conditioning process!

Very sad bear site update last night, as it seems the heavy rains Ely has had while Lily has been absent from little Hope have erased her scent for Lily to find. She searched most of yesterday morning and the night before around the big red pine where they were last seen together, but no signs of Hope anywhere. People have been notified and human search teams have been covering the woods for some sign of the 4-month old cub, but no signs at all. It's not a good sign that her mother appears to have given up after many hours of finding no scent trail. It's awful to get so involved with a wild creature as Nature is not always the benevolent force we humans wish it would be. It is what it is, and all we can do is wonder. Sue and Lynn, the biologists, are at their wits' end, trying to figure out this strange bear behavior. They need to find Hope's body if she's dead to try to figure out more in the puzzle. It's been an interesting study and an emotional several months for me. I am still happy to have learned so much about bear behavior through this site, despite the seemingly tragic outcome. Even more amazing is the comments from people on the Lily Facebook site as they struggle with their own emotions----that is a study of human nature all in itself! We are all so delicate when it comes right down to trying to be involved in a subjective study, devoid of human interference, only to discover we have a piece of us vested in the whole thing. I am sick at heart, but realize that, as my mother always told me, "Life is tough."

Off I go to pay some bills, get dressed, and head off to see what today brings in my classroom. Stop by for some coffee, and tell us what's going on in your piece of the universe.

That is sad news...and you are right it is also hard...as you think of the bears as your own.
I have to say..we watch occasional web cams and such, but we do not follow them on a regular basis. Honestly I think this is one of the reasons why. It would be so hard for my younger ones to understand.

I wish it would warm up here...and I so hear you about the getting older and wanting heat and sun. For years I was one that like summer, but enjoyed all seasons. Now the last couple of years...I am sick of the gray, rainy days and I want SUN!! I am ready for the sun.

Today is Physical Therapy for Kodie and then DS has baseball training session, with his friend, who is also homeschooled. We have an indoor baseball training center. It works out..since we have the boys buddy up, we get 2 hours worth of private lessons for the price of 1 hour. DS loves baseball, but is still in the needing some instruction to break some bad habits, that were formed. To work on his newer position of 1st base. I know some of you are thinking...is that not what the baseball coach should be doing.
Yes, but I have only seen the head coach twice. DH said he has only been at one practice (work conflict). SO then the assistance are left to run, while they both know baseball..they do not really know "how to teach/correct" things. Since DS is so close to High School...we need all the bad habits fixed by then.

I have been spending some of my spare time...off the computer and working on scrapbook and playing with my mother's day gift. It is Cricut Expression..it is basically an electronic cutter. I have a few cartridges. You insert the cartridge you want, place the key pad on there. Spell the words, or use the designs, sayings, etc that are in the cartridge..insert your paper choice and then hit the cut key. It is kinda like a personal die cut type thing, but it is electronic.

Well I should get going...I need to get breakfast going for the kids.

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

YAY, finally a morning coffee post for me! Seems like forever since I've posted on here. But then again it has been a long time. I come into work at 6am, punch in and go straight to work. Just can't seem to drag my butt in here any earlier than 5:45am and even then I punch in and start my work day. Nothing much really happening here except work. And for me that means a whole lot of dishes. And helping bus tables when needed and putting away the deliveries once in a while.

Today is our day off and we can't go anywhere. The Blazer is being repaired so that means no wheels to get to town. It's been giving me a problem with over heating and I've been feeding it antifreeze. I thought it was the thermostat and maybe a sensor? ~sigh~ $240 to just buy the radiator which really is a good price as it is "at cost". One of the guys who works up here is doing the work on it. Kinda bites today tho. We had planned on going to St George to take back a 26" TV we bought last week as the sound doesn't work, mail a card and birthday package to David, we both ordered new phones last week and were suppose to pick them up today, I need to refill one of my blood pressure prescriptions (they didn't have it last week) AND it's Kelly's Birthday today. So instead of going to town and getting needed things done and celebrating her birthday we are staying home and doing nothing much today. Anything for her birthday will have to wait until next week. ~sigh~

Oh! The guy doing the work on the Blazer has a truck he's gonna sell us. Pretty good deal, price is good and he's gonna take the Blazer as partial trade. It's only a half ton but big motor (rebuilt), heavy duty transmission (rebuilt this past winter), extra heavy suspension, extended cab, already has a hitch on it and I think it has the set up for electric brakes. So that sure is a step in the right direction! Kelly and I will need to find a cap for the box but we are really excited that we will have a pickup truck that can pull an RV when we find one we can afford!!! WOOHOO :D As a matter of fact it's a huge step in the right direction! Can't pull no RV with the Blazer as it's only a 6cl. Well maybe a pop-up? But we both want and are hoping for something a little more substantial than a tent on wheels!

Real sorry to hear about the bears. Not to surprising when it hurts after you realize how much of an emotional investment you have in it from watching for so long.

Soos?? Are you all a quiver that the days are counting down to the final day of work and then retirement??? ;)

Ok, gonna scoot and go do my nasty over full e-mail in box. I shudder to think of what all I have in my inbox n junk box. EEEEEEKKKKK! Hope everyone has a super fantastic day. Be sure that ya'll stay safe. Out here we are so freaking ready for SPRING to settle in and stay! We woke up to about 2" of snow yesterday morning. YUCK! At least my water didn't freeze this time! LOL

Love to all

Good to hear from you, Echo.
Soos - so sorry about the little missing bear. Hoping it will find its way back to mama today.
