SUNNY SUNDAY COMING UP

HAPPY SUNDAY MORNING TO US ALL!
What a perfect camping night it was out here in Little Bear! Both Molly and I had a great sleep. I need to turn on my hot water heater and be sure that is working ok before I take off on Thursday for the KOA weekend over the mountain. I made sure water ran out of it just fine before I screwed the cal rod back in it, so there shouldn't be any problem. No leaks anywhere this morning that I am aware of, and if there were any, I would hear my house pump turning on and off to refill its pressure tank inside.
I have three class days of school this week, then our field day to the bowling alley, lunch and ice cream, and finally our 4-day weekend! Soon it will be June----my last month as a full-time teacher! What a strange mixture of fear, dread, ecstacy, joy, feeling of freedom is this retirement stuff. I got my certified mail receipt from the retirement association, so I should be getting my first check deposited the last day of July. I am having them withold the most I can opt for without adding any more to see if I can exist on whatever that will amount to. My checks won't level out until the final calculation which will be the larger of the average of my final 3 years of salaries, or the average of the final 5 years of salaries plus my incentive money. Also, as my checks are never consistent due to my booking extra hours or subbing for missing teachers, etc.-----my final calculation remains to be seen. A surprise, as it were, and I am hoping a surprise that will sustain me!
My job for today will be mowing again, and that will be it. Perhaps I will get a chance to clean out the leanto also, so I can spend some nights down there. Or maybe I will just loll in the sunshine that I am hoping will soon become a reality.
I am still revelling in the joy for my son and Melissa's new property purchase! My winter home base for Little Bear has materialized! They will wing their way to Coast Rica this morning at 10:00 am, and I probably won't be able to hear from them until their return next weekend. I hope they have a super time and take tons of pictures of the different plants and animals they will encounter.
Stop by and fill us in on your day while you sip on some hazlenut coffee.
