FROSTY THURSDAY-LIKE-FRIDAY

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

Winter is back here, with frost all over the place. It's only about 32, but that's enough to make things crispy. I just went upstairs and closed the doors to those two bedrooms up there again, as I had to turn on my heater down here to warm up.

This day is like a Friday for me, because tomorrow we have a free day as we use up the next-to-last of our unused snow days! We will also get paid today! Next weekend we also get another snow day on Friday, so I will head to the KOA campground Thursday after school for the Memorial Day weekend. Maybe it will be warmer on that other side of the mountain! I need to remember to pack my bike so I can get in some riding.

Tomorrow I will go pick up my trailer, which I guess I will now call "Freedom" rather than "Hope" as I heard somebody else has already chosen that name. And I do have that twig sign I made at school that says, "Libertas" which is Freedom in Latin. So Freedom will have new shoes and I will haul it to its first campout of the year. Come to think of it, that sign I left above my window in the trailer when I hauled it the other day----sure hope it didn't fall to the floor and get wrecked.

Coffee is hot and is tasting very good as it warms my hands as well as my guts. Stop by and tell us about your day...It's so much fun to hear what's going on!

good morning
just a normal workday today, yesterday was the year end luncheon our boss
pays for at Hometown Buffet. I ate too much but not enough to suffer all
afternoon but it stayed with me into the evening. Didn't have to do anything
for dinner, just had a little applesauce and cinnamon grahams for a snack.
Tomorrow is another retirement party so more food there. We have somewhere
around 28 retiree's that are lucky enough to get out, thats including the ones
that have left already over this past month. Seniority-wise, that puts me up
around the top 35 perhaps out of 200 drivers.
One added chore these days to my daily routine....stop by daughters on the
way to work every morning and say hello to the cat. Ok, so I make sure she
has food and water too but daughter was worried more about the kitty being
lonely cause daughter is spending all her time at her boyfriends. She stops
at home before she goes to work in the late afternoon. And she will handle
the weekends. She leaves me an extra 10 bucks on the table each week. She
really wants to take her kitty over there but her boyfriend takes care of his
elderly grandfather and he is afraid the cat will trip him with that routine cats
do walking around your legs as you make your way to the kitchen.
Guess its time to get dressed, enjoy your day.

Another gorgeous day here in MN! Sunny and low 80's today! My boss at the office job is taking me and the other temp, Julie, out to lunch today, to thank us for all our hard work. Isn't that nice? Three of the girls I used to work with here (I worked for this company, Cargill, many years ago) are also getting together with me for lunch next Wednesday, so that will be fun too.

Still have to try to upload those photos from the Arboretum I took yesterday. Will be too busy today to do that, but maybe tomorrow.

Hope you all have a good day!

Soos, there is no saying 2 people can't have the same name for their rig - so go with the name you want!

Cool here in 'bama also. Although nothing like you're experiencing. You'd love this weather ;) It says it's 70 right now in Huntsville, but it's always cooler on the mountain - and since I already drove off and back up - I can attest to that. Need my sweatshirt up here still now, didn't when I got into town. What a difference a few miles (and a bit of elevation) can make.

Spent a lot of time sorting out pictures yesterday - getting prepared to scan them. I'm really excited about finally getting them transferred onto flash drives and rid of the boxes of pictures (that I never see as I can't bring with). I'll have access to all of them again. I really like lots about technology. Speaking of which, I'll post this link in the general room - but I liked reading this: 10 Things We Can't Live Without. Things have truly changed, and I feel somewhat recession proof because I already gave up so much and spend so little. But it changes for me when I spend more on rv sites, or eat out more, etc etc - anyway, will talk about it in the other thread which I'll go start now.
