FANTASTIC FRIDAY

GOOD MORNING ALL!
It's only 16 degrees out there this morning, but the sun is coming up strong in a cloudless sky. There is heavy frost all over, looking like a light snow. I am happy to have the day off----thank you, snow day lack of use!
I will call the Ford dealers this morning as they left me a message saying they might have time to finish hooking up the wiring in my truck cap that runs the top outside running ight on it and the inside reading light. We shall see. When I get back here, I will tackle the job of my lawnmower, trying to get its parts cleaned and running better than last year.
Kath, I am so sorry to hear the news about your sister. I am glad her family is able to be with her, however, even though they wish to be alone with just immediate family. It was good that you got to see her before she got to her final hours, and that could spend time with her that you both needed.
It's cold enough this morning that I ran the furnace out here to get things warmed up so the electric heater can try to keep up the temperature. I only have that running on low, and could trun it up if I need to.
After my bone scan the other day that showed an improvement in my bone density, ( )I decided to resume my once a week Fosamax regime despite hating to have to drink a glass of icky, cold water before my warm, tasty coffee! So coffee is getting ready, and I have about another 10 minutes to wait for it.
I gave my student, Kylie, a gift yesterday, as it was her last day with us. (the one whose dog was stabbed to death by her neighbor on the first day of school) After trying to decide what to give her, I took my lucky sterling silver necklace with a black pearl encased in it and put it on her, asking if she would wear it for good luck at her new home. She looked pleased with it, and thanked me, but, with Kylie, it is very hard to read her emotions as she has become so totally withdrawn and unable to feel anything. I will worry about her.
Here's hoping you all will stop by and share your day's activities with us. I will check back later this afternoon to see what's up. Those of you on the road please keep an eye to the skies in the plains states as I see tornadoes on the weather news. Happy Friday, everybody!
