Sunny Tuesday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunny Tuesday!

Postby bikerchic777 » Tue Mar 30, 2010 7:14 am

OK...I let someone else start the morning coffee yesterday, but I'm not waitin' around today! Gotta get this coffee brewin'! Besides, mine is pretty good, if I do say so myself...he he! I grind organic beans and put them in my little 5 cupper...yupper...If you are a coffee drinker, make sure you remind me to make some for you when you come see me.

Soon to be XDH actually didn't sleep until 10:30 today! He was on a mission. Took off for Lazy Days to look at mh's. Don't know what he has planned. He should just keep this beautiful mh awhile. It's new and don't think he'll get what he wants for it on a trade. I think the size and power of it intimidate him. I finally made him start driving it so he would know how when we split. Who knows!

Anyway...I have some laundry to do before we leave here so will do that after my morning walk with the boys. The divorce packet may come today so better check the mail, too. We leave here in 2 days! Time will start to go very fast now!!! God is providing us with a gorgeous day today! I may have to take a bicycle ride to the gulf later: -) The sun is shining and the high for today is 72...It doesn't get any better than this! Have a great day, girls!

Good morning! I'm having my coffee too as the sun shines in Mississippi. A bit chilly here though, and have the little elec. space heater on....which Roe is hogging as he waits for his morning walk. It'll be a quick one as we have a long day's driving ahead. We're sooo excited about our camping plans for tonight. Well, Bandit's not so excited.

What appeared to be a full moon shone in my roof windows last night and bathed the cg with moonlight. So pretty. Bandit watched out the window all night for critters. He'll be taking a nap soon.

Have a great day everyone!

(Linda....hope your dh doesn't spend the money he owes you...not good that he's so vague about it)

Liz...I think he's spending his "virtual" money...lol. There is a loan on this mh and he's taking it in the divorce. I told him I wasn't signing the papers until I had the money so he is going to have it transferred from his investment money to my checking acct this week. It feels good to not let him overpower me!!!

I'm enjoying your travels! Glad you had a good rest and ready to plug on! Drive safe and I'm looking forward to hearing about your day tonight...if you get a signal.

GOOD MORNING BIKER, LIZ, AND ALL!

It's colder, about 29 degrees here this morning, and still very overcast and grey. If we get the rain they are predicting today, it will probably be snow for us. Many spring birds are passing through, so my feeder is busy, and I hear geese passing over every day now, looking for open water. I doubt that the pond is open yet, but I've not hiked down, or skied down, in a while to check it out.

I should get my Camping World portable sattelite dish via UPS today. Now I need to explore what inverter I might need to get in order to run my receiver if I am boondocking, without running the generator all the time.

Lily and Hope left the den again yesterday, and today I can't keep that website page open long enough to see what's up there. I am glad that Lynn Rogers realized that having the live bear on TV yesterday was too much of a distraction to get his announcement about his upcoming program, and to give others the address to the webcam----IF Lily and Hope will remain there for a while longer. I'll need to get that info about the upcoming show again, if I can get the browser window to stay open.

Carol, I can't wait to see your latest curtains for your RV! Be sure to take before and after pics for us!

I am still waiting for my new truck, and am waiting for a bottom line price quote for a new trailer from my dealer. Things are pretty much on hold here right now, but I am just happy to forget about the time, the days, and am reveling in the lack of scheduling! The weather for Easter weekend should be wonderful! I decided to not go to PA as my truck tires really need to be replaced in order for me to feel safe on the roads out there for that 1,000 mile roundtrip. Perhaps the new tires, underneath my new truck, will arrive in time during this vacation for me to still be able to go. Patience is all I need!

Here's a link to the trailer on my wish-list:

Coffee is hot, so stop by and give us a few words about where you are and what you are doing......have a wonderful Tuesday, everybody!

Good Morning everyone!

I'm sitting here in my classroom, praying that everyone behaves today. Next week is our Spring Break is next week and if I don't kill anyone between now and then it'll be a miracle.

Soos, I've got a $40, 200 watt inverter that I bought at Home Depot that works my TV just fine when I dry camp. But I also have 2 group 27 batteries, so that probably helps, too. I don't dry camp that often, but it's nice to have that little inverter in case I need/want to have a little extra luxury.

Hope everyone's having a good day. I'm trying hard not to pack up, call in sick, and go home. Guess I'm a little tired.

Wow Soos, I didn't know you had ordered a new truck and were getting a new trailer!! Where will you be going? Congratulations!
They are installing our new A/C today, generator to be here soon, and the dogs are watching their every move and were announcing most so it's been a little loud. They are settling down now so hopefully it will be quieter. It is supposed to be 80 by the end of the week so I'll be cranking the air up soon! I think anything over 75 is too hot, lower if high humidity which we usually have. Guess I'll have to walk dogs soon as they are working in the fenced area.

Today is suppose to be 72 also! And maybe close to 80 tomorrow! Hopefully, I can get off work early tomorrow so I can get out and enjoy it. The ice on the lake is starting to break up now so it won't be long now It is very thin and brittle now, so some warm temps and wind should knocked it out by the end of the week for sure. There were some boats out around the marinas this morning breaking up the ice so in case the wind pushes it all toward the marina, it won't rip out the docks. It will be so nice to see open water again!

Last night while I was driving home, I saw the most gorgeous big, orange moon coming up over the lake! It was so big! I just had to stop and look at it for awhile.

Lots of computer problems at work again today so not getting much done so far. Hurry up and wait...

I hope everyone has a good day and safe travels!

Well, we are getting ready to leave on Friday-checking tire pressure, satellite, changing address with everyone since our old one went out of business, new driver licenses with new addresses, banks, putting a few things in storage, etc, etc, etc. Will see how our new floor works when slides come in and out  and saying goodbye to everyone here. Haven't been on the road, except for driving to NC at Christmas, for 6 months. Hope we remember how to work this thing  Soos, that trailer looks fantastic-and a new truck too. I think retirement will agree with you. Hope everyone has a good day. carold

A last rainy hello from CA this morning. I'm at the SAC airport waiting to load. All on time even with the storm over the Sierra. Yesterday I made an appointment to get my Roadtrek deWinterized on Wed morning. Boy did I miss it while I was in CA and it was in TX! Looking ahead i made camping reservations for Enchanted Rock State Park for the full moons in April and May. My sources tell me the 'blue bonnets' are in full swing. This will be my first spring in TX and am really looking forward to it! Safe travel to those heading to the Port Lavaca gtg!

Linda, be sure your X takes your name off the MH if you bought it together. If he stops making the payments they'll come after you. My daughter learned this one the hard way. Just having it in the divorce papers that he gets the MH won't relieve you of the responsibility for the loan. My daughter's X quit making payments on the mobile home they bought and they came after my daughter big time.

Soos, that trailer is so cool! I love the auto awning, wish I had that as I probably will never use mine. Word of warning..make sure the two chairs in the rear are strapped down good when you travel. We had those in our 5th wheel and when we drove it off the lot and 5 miles down the road to Camping World, we found our side window broken out! Had to go straight back and they fixed it for free because in the walkthrough he forgot to tell us about that, nor did he strap them down beforehand. Good luck in getting that and a truck to pull it!

Liz, nice you checked in. Safe travels today and anyone else on the roads.

I had a nice surprise yesterday. A check for $5,000! I told you the saga of how that gal that did my taxes messed up and told me I was getting an almost $8,200 refund? Good thing I knew she was making a mistake, (I got back $168 last year  ), and I paid the $36 to Jackson Hewitt so they would be responsible for any mistakes up to $5,000. Before I cashed it I took it to their office to make sure that this was free and clear money for me and she said, "yep! The best $36 you've ever spent, huh?"
They had already helped me file an amendment so when I get the $8,200 check I have all the paperwork ready to send a chunk of that money back. ;)

Tonight I start the prep for my colonoscopy on Thursday. Yuck!

Everyone have a super day!

Mitch: Got Trailer Life and Highways on the bathroom counter!  I get it done at 10:30 am. They had a 6:45 AM but my ride didn't want to have to take me that early. ;)
