YEP---A SHORTER WEDNESDAY!

GOOD MORNING ALL!
The day IS shorter after that Chile earthquake----here's a link to the best explanation I could find by National Geographic:

I have a feeling none of us will notice this, however, given the teensy figure! It's just interesting to me that these shifts in our tectonic plates can still alter not only our concept of 'good old solid ground' but can also affect our concept of time! Also, I am fascinated by how the latest discoveries and investigations of our solar system have altered our perception of Pluto and revised our definition of what denotes a 'planet.' Life and our perception of it always keeps me as excited to see more as a kid on Christmas morning opening presents.
Our teacher will be absent today as he has to accompany his wife to Burlington Hospital spine doctors as she has scoliosis and will need surgery. Our room is just learning how to function with our new student in the mix, and it proves to be interesting today.
It's another warm day----about 25 degrees so far-----and windless. Coffee is hot and beckoning everyone to sit a while and fill us in on your day! Have a fun Wednesday!
