Its Saturday......Coffee's on

Good morning gals
its Saturday, and of course a 3 day weekend, for me anyway and no big plans
just yet. Normal routine stuff though, weather is suppose to be nice and sunny
so I will get out in the yard and do some yard work. Have a few big items to get
ready for the big yearly rolloff that comes in so I can get it tossed out. I think
it will be good for my soul as I'm feeling a little burnout lately working all these
extra hours into the evening and having no light at the end of the tunnel to
show for it. So, I guess you could say the light at the end of MY tunnel has
burned out and needs to be replaced. The problem is....its a hard to find
item, can only get them at specialty stores  and my specialty store is
sold out.
Ok, coffee is ready to pour and a little toast goes nicely on the side for me.
Hope everyone is staying warm and dry where they are and of most important
I hope everyone has power.
Have a good weekend and if I'm not on much this weekend, don't worry, I'm fine.

Good morning!

All is well here on the hill...... today will be a dump run and then to Plattsburgh for groceries. Kath and I went out to dinner last night at local eatery called "Me and My Girls Cafe and Bakery". It's owned and run by an old friend of mine and her daughters. I had the salmon. Kath had the steak and both were excellent. I also bought a lemon pie to bring home. Guess what I had for breakfast?

I saw part of the opening ceremony of the olympics last night. I thought the First Nations welcome ceremony was fantastic. I watched some of the athletes enter and then gave up as there were 80+ countries and I was getting sleepy. I did see the lighting of the cauldron via replay this a.m. Well done, Canada!

OK,... off to do my chores....

Izzy is packing up and heading over to the fairgrounds again this morning. We don't show until afternoon but she needs a bath and they have a bathing area set up. I managed to walk past the vendors yesterday but some of those soft toys are calling me. There is a cute Flamingo put I didn't know how traumatized the sis'tahs would be to see the pups chasing and carrying around some cuz of Belle. :o The alligator was adorable and I knew that Remi would like to sit on him and drag him around. Big bad alligator! My favorites were the "unstuffed" toys...the remind me of road kill....maybe we could dig up some of those old recipes... Ava, go find a way to Play this weekend! Need to play......too much work!

Good morning! It'll be a snow day here in GA....who'd of thunk?

Plenty of wet white stuff to make a snowman or two. Gd wants a snowball fight. Hopefully it won't be too slippery for a walk on the nature trails....snow clinging to the branches in the woods should be very pretty. Roads are icy, so we won't be going anywhere by car. Satellite TV is out too, but we have elec. & internet. Utility lines are all underground where dd lives, so they rarely lose power.

A day or two of this stuff will be plenty. I'm anxious to hear from bluepinecones in AL....too quiet there. Everyone else affected by the storms do check in too, so we won't worry about you. Sounds like a good day to be in Arizona/So. Cal.

Morning gals!

well it will be another wet day off and on! I am soooo bad.... I turned in my Jayco Feather Light sports for a jayco 19ft JTX..After camping I decided that iI was tired of shifting stuff around to make space.. Dont get me wrong I "Loved' my little trailer, but just to small.. it was a even trade, and they gave me a new hotwater heater, put in a tranny cooler for my truck, and went thru it... I had them put on the electric jack, the new a/c cover and the new wingman for the annetnna.. I wasnt gonna let go of those as I had just purchased them..
I will be going after it this afternoon, as long as its not pouring rain ( hopefully some nice breaks will occur) Anxious to get it home and see how I can park this one... LOL it will definatally take up my space here in the driveway.. its double axel so i have heard its alot easier to back up...
Will get pictures up as soon as I can...
Hope everyone has a nice weekend!!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

Temps aren't to bad this morning, cool but don't feel the need this morning to drape my jacket around my shoulders and back which is a good improvement. Temp today is suppose to be 76f, ahhhhhh! Not rubbing it in mind you. But it is gonna feel good. All this coming week it's suppose to be in the mid to upper 70's. Neighbor stopped by for a visit on his golf cart and he said that it's suppose to go up into the 80's? Now that I'll believe when I see and feel it! LOL I could really get into this warm weather winter living! ;)

Ava? I have one of those special light thingamajiggies is you want to borrow it? Will at least help ya a little until you can find your own. Not fun living and working without light!!!

Christine, a bigger trailer is easier to back up as they move/turn just a little bit slower. Tandem axle is always bettet too. After going to driving school and then driving over the road pulling 48' and 53' trailers I found it impossible to back up the garden tractor trailer. Little chit when everywhere but where I needed it. Finally got so frustrated I got off the yard tractor and hand moved it. Amazing what ya can do when ya get MAD! My Dad laughed so hard at me, asking me "What's the matter truck driver" that he about busted a gut! grrrr The little 5'x10' single axle cargo trailer I have now? It did take some practice backing up to get use to it. And I can tell you that boy did I get mad and frustrated at times with it.  Been known to turn the air blue and pop Kelly's eyes open a couple times!

Well gals the coffee is hot, it's fresh and just waiting for someone to pour a cup out. Come on in and sit a spell, let us know what's up with you. Hope everyone has a great day, is enjoying whatever sunshine ya got and of course your all being careful and safe. Right?

Love to all

Morning!
Almost 9:30 here. I slept in til 8! My GDs had BB games again today but I passed. I've trucked up the interstate these past 3 Saturdays and need a day off. They both play at the same time in different towns so it's allot of driving back and forth in order to see both play. The next two weeks will be a better schedule, less hectic.
Cedar, sounds like you and I did almost the same thing concerning watching the opening cermonies of the Olympics. I did record it so will scan it later today.
Christine!! A new rig! How sweet! Can't wait for you to post pics of it. Yes, the weather is suppose to break this afternoon so I hope you can pick it up then. If not, Mon/Tues is suppose to be nice, may reach 60! Yippee! I have been checking the map to see how far it would be for me to meet you at Grayland sometime. It's about 170 mi for me. If there's a place closer between us I'd like to get together sometime. THink about it.
Got an email from my friend. She and her sister are working at a restaurtant at Q. They have her down to only 4-5 hr a week! Can't even meet her campground fees with that few hours. She's pretty sure she's leaving at the end of the month as she not keen on Q at all anyway.
Anyone involved in this last storm please check in asap.

Wow...what a night..I had no idea that the Opening Ceremonies would run so late. I think they really needed to start it earlier...the truth is we were timed delayed here and we are only 50 miles from the event. So it was over by the time it ended on TV.

I could have done without NBC showing the footage of the luge accident. I think they need to pull the last section of the clip.

Today we have our final site sale for Camp Fire Candy. I am glad...we get our weekends back yeah!! But the girls did great, and have earned their way to camp. Kodie has completely as her is less and only a weekend. Mychal earned about 1/2 as her's is week long..and she is hoping for 2 weeks this year. As it is her last year as a "camper" next year she will be in the CIT group (Counselor in Training). hard to believe that she is that old already. The CIT program is 2 levels so it takes two summers to complete.

Monday we are headed up the mountain for snowboarding and skiing.

The weather here is rainy...hopefully it is snowing in the higher elevations. They need it.

CHRISTINE!! You bad girl. Pictures PLEASE?

Spent this morning on the phone with my ISP AND phone company 'cuz my Internet access was kaput! I've got that cranky old modem up and running again, and will go out later today to buy a new one. Life's too short. I've been fussin' and fumin' with that thing for too long.

After four weeks of my laptop being in the 'puter hospital, I've finally gotten it back from warranty work -- with almost all new parts! Got windows 7 on it, working like a charm.

Other than that, life's been ... life. Don't know whether to go barefoot in the house or wear socks ... never know when I'll find a Bandit puddle. My floor is an off-white, and those puddles are so darned hard to see. "Why not wear shoes?" you ask? If I did, I wouldn't notice and I'd just track it all over the house.

Long past morning; in fact I could wait just a bit and open the kitchen for Sunday.
Thought I'd just do a quick check-in. Have not been ignoring you - noticed a couple of you had asked about situation here. Spent most of the past 48 hours in bed and/or bathroom. Not sure if mild food poison or picked up one of those nasty bugs that attack tummy. Just beginning to feel better tonight.
Oh no, we have more snow forecast for tomorrow and Monday and below freezing temps until Wednesday. I have not even been out to get my mail since Thursday. If my hill is slick in the morning, will not get it then either (mail box is at top of hill)
I'm for starting a movement to relocate that blasted groundhog. Six more weeks of winter is too much.

Sarah, a horrible stomach virus has made the rounds of my school, and people tell me they feel as if they are going to die when they get it----that it feels like a terminal case of food poisoning! I am SO hoping I avoid it, as being alone and being that sick, as you well know, ain't no fun at all!

Hopefully, you are feeling better by today and can now eat something to get your strength back.
