Tuesday moning rain

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday moning rain

Postby Redetotry » Tue Jan 19, 2010 9:33 am

It looks like we'll be having rain soon but yesterday was sunny and warm, 57 degrees! Hard to believe after the -3 we had just a week or so ago. I'm heading out for a much anticipated massage this morning, missed a few weeks and my parts are complaining.
I spent a very pleasant day yesterday with friends shopping and having lunch. I found lots of bargains at the sales so came home a happy shopper.
The dogs have finished their breakfast so it's my turn. I'm having eggs, cereal and fruit so grab your coffee or beverage of choice and join in.

Morning,
Everyone must be sleeping in!
It's a balmy 52F this morning! Chance of off and on again showers, but at that temp, I don't care. Much. ;)
I had a great day yesterday with my two GDs. We played Resort and Super Mario on the Wii. Great fun. They also took turns playing a game on my iPhone. We also took a walk and played at the park a bit (it was still pretty muddy), and then played a domino game called Chicken Foot. In between we ate baked chicken nuggets & french fries, then some cheese and crackers for a snack. Not a very well rounded menu. :( I did eat my big o salad and Amanda ate yogurt.
Anyway, this morning I have the dishwasher and laundry going. Also Tues. is bowling. I always look forward to that.
Echo/Kelly, good to be hearing more from you again! Yep, getting more newbies, too! Welcome ladies!
Have a blessed day everyone!

GOOD MORNING SISTAHS!!!

No rain here this morning! WooHoo! Have no idea where the heck it went but only have little tiny puffy 'white' clouds in the sky here. I thought when it quit last night/this morning before I went to bed that it was only inbetween showers. Nope, when I was going to bed I could see stars in the sky. I am loving the bright blue sky and no rain this morning. Ahhhhhh When things dry out and I am sure the walls of the tents are dry and Kelly is up, I will be spraying her tent down to waterproof it. Will do mine too as I found a spot of water on the floor last night about the size of a .50 cent piece. I am really please at that to tell you the truth! This is the tent that was given to me so I had no idea how it would good it would be, so yeah I'm happy.

Today we will set up a little better to add to our comfort and convenience in addition to spraying the tents. The one thing we do need to buy when we go to Parker and WalMart is a small portable gas grill. All we have at the moment is the camp stove which is great of course but a grill will give us more flexibility and cut down on dirty pans. We also need a camp table but it's not really a necessity but it would be nice to have one. Right now the coffee maker and camp stove sit on top of the picnic table and my 12v cooler in on the bench seat. While Nan and Karen have fancy techno gadgets the gadgets I covet are more mundane at this point!!! Some day Kelly and I will grow up, become full fledged RV'ers and want those sleek techno gadgets too! ;)

Had the coffee maker programed to run and make coffee at 7am but I guess I goofed up as it hadn't done it's thing when I crawled out of bed so had to turn it on. But it has brewed it's little heart out and it's sitting here waiting for ya'll. Grab your mug and sit a spell and share what all you'll be up to today!!!

Hope ya'll have a great day, be warm, dry, cool in what ever you do and remember to stay safe!

Love to all

# Tonight: Rain and a few thunderstorms likely this evening ...variable clouds with a few showers still possible late. Low 47F. Winds SW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 70%. Rainfall near a quarter of an inch.

Oh it's drizzly here in Austin too. I'm about done with winter. But it is good for getting chores down around the house. :) So far, stove is sparkling and next up is bookkeeping. What I really need to do is wash my RT after that big rain in Rockport. It is covered with dirt and mud! Stay dry Echo and Kelly!! Have a fun day everyone....

Thanks Chris!!! Was just looking at the weather. Whoa! Wait a minute.....Friday high 59, low 40? Saturday high 62, low 38. What's that all about? Good grief, thought we left those lows in FL? If it snows? I quit!!! Snow in florida, ??? snow in Blyth CA? No way!!! :o

Yep gonna do that waterproofing soon. Well at least we will as soon as Kelly can wake up and drag herself out of bed that is! She's being a lazy bum and loving the sleeping in.

I've been up since about 7:30, 8am PT, sitting in the screenroom. Drinking coffee, playing on the laptop with one of my Indian blankets thrown around me keeping my shoulders and tops of my arms warm and Shade has been laying on the bench next to me. Just had to chuckle! She had to scratch an itch and fell off the bench. OMG the look on her face was priceless!!!! I laughed and asked her if she fell and went boom? She got the dangest look on her face then wiggled all over!  She might not be much as a foot warmer? But she never ever fails to warm my heart and bring a smile to my face.

Very first Pom/Chi I had was named Honey. Never thought any other dog would match her or come close to the love I felt for her. But I'm telling you Shade has done it. She and Honey are running neck to neck and are at a complete tie. How very, very lucky I am!

Echo, most likely no snow, but this is the desert, and believe it or not, the desert really gets cold at night sometimes. I was tent camping in Anza Borrego in February a couple of years ago, trying out a backpacking tent. Woke up in the middle of the night with a half-inch of ice on the top of the tent.

Just sitting here waiting on my son. I have to bring him for a doctor's appointment this afternoon. I didn't eat breakfast so we could eat in town and run a few errands and he is just messing around. I have to bring him to meet his work crew later so would like for him to get moving. Hope I'm not on the road half the night.
